Changing Rooms || Secret Blossom Ball
Entering the Blossom Ball

Early. There is some muggle adage about being fashioably late. To Vladimir late was late. He would withdraw a pocket watch from his pocket and check the time. Yes, now the others should be arriving. He should enter with the crowd. After all, he had a date he would be crushed if he disappointed.
A large bag was slung over his back. While the contents where wholly unknown, the shaft of his broom peered from the bag. For whatever reason he deemed a broomstick necessary for a dance. He came in the same attire he planned to wear to the dance, yet he deemed it necessary to spend some time in the changing room. Was it to get a perverted glance at one of the girls - no, they wish. He was looking for a member of the other team, not that he swung that way.
Some little thing, looked like he might be an over-sized toddler here at the ball. He would lean against a wall and people watch. To his astonishment, the gremlin child was already there. He expected the midget to have a more mature-seeming face, be a bit better dressed. There was a flare of heat within his breast as he eyed the young lad.
Hufflepuffs would know him as @Jack Morris, however Vladimir would know the young man by another name. A pair of leather gloves drawn over his hands as well as a sardonic smirk that slid over his face, he would approach the duo. He was talking to a taller pre-teen. She was interested in this joke? "Hey," he extended a gloved hand towards the boy. "Vladimir Athantos," he forced a smile. "Been wanting to meet you all week," he nodded his head in acknowledgement at George. "Friend? can never have enough of those now. Mind coming with me?"

Changing Rooms || Secret Blossom Ball
Adam was trying to get changed as quickly as possible, afraid of missing out on any of the fun just outside. Unfortunately, that meant he was making a lot of mistakes. Every so often, he'd have to stop to adjust a sleeve or a pant leg or flip a jacket inside out. The small space that he'd staked out for himself in the boys' changing room was a bit awkward to move around in, especially because he didn't want to disturb anyone else as they all got ready. Most of his regular robes were on the floor, and his broom -- propped up against the door of a locker -- kept threatening to fall over at any time. He still didn't know exactly why the invitation had called for brooms at all, but he was excited to find out!
The Ravenclaw boy eyed the pair of dress shoes that he'd brought along, unsure of whether or not to put them on. He was desperately wishing for a regular school dance with no need for anything but dancing shoes. Of course, history didn't give him much of a confidence boost, and if a disaster on the pitch required fighting or fleeing, he wasn't going to make it very far in those clunky things. Erring on the side of caution, Adam put the dress shoes aside and kept on what he had worn down to the pitch. He bent down to pick up his old clothes and bunched them up, leaving them on one of the benches as neatly as he could and placing the unused shoes on top of the pile.
There was bound to be a mirror somewhere in this room, but Adam didn't want to waste any time, and he knew that if he got caught up scrutinizing himself in the glass he'd never be happy with the reflection. He could trust his own judgement, probably. Running a few fingers through his hair and making sure that it at least felt neat, he glanced down at his dress robes to search out any last wrinkles or folds. They were a very nice dark blue color, not too stuffy or fancy, but respectable enough. He had room for his most of wand in the pockets of the trousers, and he could cover up the part that didn't fit with his jacket. The journey down to the Quidditch pitch with his change of clothes concealed had left them a little wrinkled, and Adam frowned as he tried to smooth the more noticeable ones out. In the end, though, he decided that nobody was expecting perfection and settled for what he had. Besides, he'd reused these robes from earlier in the year, so it wasn't like he was trying to make any fashion statements.
Making sure that his belongings were out of the way one last time, Adam grabbed his broom and slung it up across his shoulders, glad to be carrying it again after leaving the Quidditch team. Even though he'd realized that the game wasn't really his thing, he was happy to have the Nimbus with him for moments just like these. Finally ready to go, Adam made his way towards the changing room doors and excused himself as he slid by the other guys, wondering if Cecily was already out there waiting. They'd come down to the pitch together, but obviously she couldn't accompany him in here, and besides she had to change too. They'd agreed to meet back up once they were both ready. Adam knew he was fairly easy to pick out in a crowd, so his plan was mostly just to wander around until she found him. What could go wrong with that, right?
A grin on his face, Adam left the changing room behind and smiled as the cool outdoor air hit his face, turning towards the field and the festivities that awaited him there.

Changing Rooms || Secret Blossom Ball

Nico had been quietly looking forward to this day. As a Prefect, there was almost no way that this event would pass by her ears. It was the big event nearly everyone was talking about. Even though it was supposedly secret, it kinda felt like it was quite the opposite at this point. But no need for dillydallying.
After carefully packing her outfit in her room and being casually dressed, Nico smiled at Pip softly. 'You stay here okey? I know last time wasn't such a... good time...' On the last Blossom Ball, she did have a date. She confessed to the biggest weirdo of the castle. The outcast dhampir, Kaegen. He had left her by herself. Alone. On a party where she sadly knew nearly no one. 'I'm sure this time it will be better! After all, I'm going with Quinn.' Pip tilted his head, curiously. The dhampir was sure the fluffball was very curious to who this 'boyfriend' of hers was. 'Not this time, Pip. Next time... This party will be packed I'm sure. Not a place for sweet balls like you.' He sighed softly and turned onto its side before rolling over to her pillow. 'I'll promise to come back in one piece! Bye Pip!'
And she was off. Tapping up the stairs, making her way to the Grounds, quickly locating the Quidditch Pitch. Wearing her regular school robes, she made sure to not be too obvious. Her strawberry red hair flapping in the wind as she finally reached the changing rooms. Finally. Entering, she noticed that quite alot of students were already present. No surprise there. Nervously, occasionally greeting peers she passed by, she moved herself to a corner. Good, this should do.
Slightly embarassed, she slipped out of her robes, changing into her light blue tulle dress. Lightly curling her hair. Twirling some strands into two buns on the side of her head. On the more backside, she'd put two hairclips, existing out of fake raven wings, extended upwards. Subtle feathered bracelets coloured her wrists. Mother did her best to make her outfit rather refined but still rather childfriendly. Nico loved it...
After finishing up, she carefully folded her schoolrobes and placed them down in the same corner. Finally leaving the changing rooms, she'd pass by the Slythering lockerrooms to pick her broom. Even though it might be abit clumsy to carry it with her, she didn't want to take any chances. If anything bad would happen... Her broom would be a fast way out, no?

There was a constant thrumming, made his ears heavy. For the most part it was a constant, this white noise. This whisper of ill-gotten intentions that were easy to ignore, like the wind or a nightmare. A dream half-forgotten. But the feeling was ever present, this tangible burden. This voice nipping at his ear.
"Jake..."
"JAKE!"
A voice he had not heard in some time. A voice that only he could hear.
"Jake, run!"
There was no meaning behind the warning. Just an urgency on the force. A sharpness that demanded his attention.
"Not to the fields!"
The disembodied voice snapped.
"Not to the pitch!"
Then where!
"Run Jake! Open them and run!"
Open what.
"The bludgers boy. The bludgers!"
The voice was in a state of panic.
"Do it now boy! Release them and then-- to the pitch. To the stands. Get away! IT. IS. Coming!"
It was the mask making a demand of him. It had not made a demand in some time. It had made a demand before. A demand to fight back against Kyle DeRook that he had ignored and was pummeled for. It had told him to doodle and to draw. It spoke of intentions to be brave. To have no fear. Neither notions the boy subscribed to. No, he was still scared and insecure. The maturity of a boy half his age. It felt secure but insecure. He was dependent and without responsibility it was not his fault, he did not need to decide. It was easier that way, even if he died. Even if his friends died protecting him because he refused to be brave.
There is something about ambition, how it not only propels you but also defines you.

Illowy was startled from her thoughts when a familiar voice called out to her. Turning away from her reflection, her pale eyes flickered through the bustle of the changing room before she caught eye of her housemates, Ruby and Margo, and offered the pair a small smile. It was easy to figure they must've just arrived given they were still in their plain clothes. Then again, some people didn't always care to dress up much for these sort of things. She was pretty sure she'd seen a couple of students earlier in just jeans and nice tops, "Hey." she greeted back before looking down at herself for a moment as Margo paid her the compliment. With a shy chuckle, the girl tossed a tress of hair back over her shoulder, thankful for the small confidence boost - even if it might not've been intentional on Margo's part, "Thanks. I'll see you guys out there later."Interacting with: @Margo White

As the girls wandered off to change, Illowy put her bag away. With one final primp in the mirror, and the sweet confidence booster from her housemate, the young snake took the plunge to make her way out of the dressing room and into the party.

I was told I was dangerous. When I asked why, they said, "Because you don't need anyone." That's when I smiled.

The female was in a state of nervousness. A state of joy. Whatever you wanted to call it. One thing was fo r sure though, Elena was nervous. Lamik had agreed much to her shock and surprise but it was all boiling down to this moment. That was, given that nothing terrible happened. She finished looping her brown locks of hair into a nice bun securing it into place with that rose pin. Sure, her parents might not be the most loving or caring individuals in the world but they had entrusted her with the tools needed to represent the Jangleton bloodline in a proper and respective manner. As such, they had entrusted her with garb and jewlery so she might look semi-decent. Personally, black was not exactly Elena's favorite go-to but in this case, she thought it went nicely. As long as she didn't have to run in it and tackle heavy-set men like last time. That had been quite a adventure.
She slipped on the bracelet onto her wrist as she examined her reflection making sure there were no stray blemishes or anything of the sort. "Heres to a normal and functioning ball for once." She murmured slightly chuckling. Who was she kidding, these things never went to plan. Never. Still, the butterflies in her stomach were having a field day and not because of the eventual death that was about to befall them all as far as the Gryffindor was concerned. Rather, she was thinking about Lamik. What would she say? What would he say? What would they talk about? The questions swept around in Elena's mind as she exhaled a few times making sure she was ready. "Stop over-reacting and have fun..important point..have fun." That and attempting to make sure nothing blew up this time.
Stepping out of the changing rooms, her black dress exlempifying her beauty, she eventually managed to link up with Lamik whom she smiled at. The purple suit was a nice touch though the absence of a tie bothered her. Still, purple was a color that was..exotic. That is to say..not often used."I like the suit." She said grinning. She gestured towards the area where the stands stood her heart skipping a beat as she fidgeted with her bracelet a bit. "Shall we?" The feeling of excitment she held she could barely contain. Like she had achieved an milestone..maybe they'd hit it off tonight. If she could stop being a nervous wreck, that is.

Changing Rooms || Secret Blossom Ball

Excitement burned across the young Ravenclaw's face as she trudged towards the pitch after dinner. The cancellation of the ball had been awful news to the girl as she knew it was to many of her peers. Even if the last ball hadn't gone so well, she still couldn't help but be drawn in by the temptation of music, socializing and a night of well mannered frivolity. As soon as the whispers of a secret ball reached her ears, Lark had rushed to the Owlery to scribble out a quick letter to her Gran about a dress. She hadn't been sure what to expect after the last ball had ruined most of her mother's dress. That had been a lengthy verbal lashing when she returned home over Winter holiday so she knew sending a request for an outfit to her Ma would end in some sort of short response back claiming she could wear the things she had at school. No no.. Maybe if she was going by herself she could have stitched things from various outfits together however she was going with someone to the ball once again. After all the painstaking preparation she had gone through for the masked ball, Lark had better prepared this time around. Taking her Quidditch gear from her large duffle, a gift from her father over Christmas, she had made sure to clean it a handful of times not wanting any lingering athletic smells to cling to her dress or accessories. Going to the pitch at night and sneaking out was already a worry, especially on her own since her other friends were either busy or making their own way to the ball. Though she thought it best to dress more casual and bring her bag to look less inconspicuous should she be caught.
Broom in hand, as per request of the ball committee, Lark slung her bag over her shoulder carefully not to crush her dress tucked safely away inside and found her way to the changing rooms. Once there she nodded to a couple of the others inside and set her bag down where she normally changed for games. Other girls were heading in and out of the room, small chatter here and there about dates or gossiping with one another... even a couple mentions of the last ball which made Lark wince slightly. Hopefully this one would go better...
Pulling her dress from the bag and carefully draping it along the lockers, hanger resting on one of the locker doors propped open. Changing from her jumper and casual wear, Lark pulled her hair up and started to pin it back, braiding a section and concentrating on shifting her hair to an even more silvery tone. Some bobby pins sticking out from between her lips so she could use her hands to slip on the long pearl blue and dusty pink gown. Except... she hadn't thought one thing through. The ties on the back of her dress... whoops. Glancing around the room she saw two older girls laughing a few benches down from her.
"'Scuse me.. I uh.. can ye help me with these?" One hand holding up the straps on her dress and the other lifting her skirts, a little nervous her Gran had insisted on a longer dress even after Lark's pleading that whatever she sent needed to be short in case of well... traditional Ball disasters. One of the girls gave a nod and offered her a kind smile before motioning for Lark to turn. "Ya of course!" Waiting for the blonde haired girl to cinch her in, Lark watched as others left the room. Feeling a pat on her back, the girl and her friend smiled before the three exchanged a quick goodbye, the two leaving for the ball. Returning to her belongings, Lark tucked her now empty bag into the locker along with the hanger and her spare clothes. Gathering the fabric under her so she could sit on the bench, Lark grabbed at her boots and laced them up slowly. 'AJ must be getting ready too..' She wondered what he was wearing.. "'I need ta thank Jack..." Lark mused to herself as she tucked the extra ends of her boot laces behind the leather tongue. Honestly the thought of asking anyone had not crossed the girl's mind. After last ball she thought it would be best to just go alone and meet up with her friends there... but after the Talent Show... Jack catching her little note taking as well as stolen glances at her best friend, well... he had sort of given her the extra "umph" to muster the courage to ask AJ. Standing, Lark closed the locker and clicked it shut before tucking her wand inside the pocket at least her Gran had listened to her about. There was NO way she was leaving it behind. "Right! Okay.. I can do this." Giving herself a quick little whispered pep talk, Lark grabbed her broom and headed out towards the pitch.

Entering Changing Rooms from Outside
Isadora entered the girls changing rooms hesitantly, a small pack hanging off of her shoulder. She saw a few students coming and going, some dressed up and others still getting ready. Okay so this was definitely the right spot. She made her way to an empty spot against the side wall and used the shelf in front of her to hold her bag.
She opened up the pack to see a cascade of lilac fabric taking up her vision. She couldn't but smile widely as she lifted the light chiffon gown from its place and held it up in front of her. It was perfect! She undressed quickly out of her school clothes and slowly, almost reverently slid the gown over herself. It made a light wooshing sound and it encased her perfectly, the ends of the dress stopping with a slight bounce just before touching the ground. She reached for her bag again and pulled put a pair of shear flats decorated with tiny crystals that looked like fresh dew drops. She giggled excitedly as she pulled them on, following the shoes were a matching set of necklace and earrings adorned with a single lilac butterfly.
She reached for the final piece of her ensemble, a double rowed headband shaped like vines twining across her head and dotted with amethysts along each row. She placed it delicately on her head. She put her day clothes into the bag and set it back onto the shelf for when she returned and headed towards the mirrors to dress up her face next.
She put on a simple shear gloss and lined her lids with some black eyeliner. She finished her simple look off with some mascara. Once she covered the last lash she let herself look at herself fully in the mirror. She looked radiant, almost like a princess from her fairytales. She smiled again and backed away from the mirror. She put her makeup with the rest of her things in her back and walked towards the changing room exit.
'Here goes nothing' She thought.

Changing Rooms || Secret Blossom Ball
Opeila waited. And waited. And slowly got very nervous.
She searched the crowd for her partners and after a while spotted Bridget, who gave her a short wave. Opeila sent her a short smile.
Kara Capricorn appeared out of nowhere and started to talk to Opeila about her crush Hanako and asked her for her help... Oh lord. Opeila sighed innerly but pulled herself together.
The brunette still didn't like her a lot, but still didn't see a reason to be rude.
She actually was rather jealous, she wished that something like that would be her main problem tonight. Opeila sent Kara a short smile. "You're gonna do it, I am sure of it. Sorry, I've gotta go, my date... seems to have gotten lost."
With that she rushed off. She knew that he wasn't lost. Did it need only a few minutes of absence for him to cause trouble? Opeila hoped not.
She walked over to the changing rooms and knocked on the door for the boys' one. "Vladimir? You there?" If she wouldn't get an answer, she would go in. Opeils would not let something happen in the first second after thr ball started. She would not let her date alone, that was what she had plannee until now. She wss doing an awful job.

Changing Rooms || Secret Blossom Ball
Annie had walked down from her dorm room, with her broom like she was about to go to another practice. She wasn't dressed in anything fancy just sweatpants and a shirt with her robe thrown over it. The girl had a bag in her other hand, slightly suspicious but she walked so quickly to avoid raising further suspicion that she nearly ran into the door that led to the girl's changing rooms. The brunette stopped short of slamming her face into the door and rushed her bag and broom inside.
Quickly Annie found a place to get ready and started to change into her dress. It was long and flows down to her feet but didn't drag on the floor. With a simple black strip of fabric that represented a belt around her waist, it hugged her perfectly and was pretty decent for an 11-year-old girl. It had a higher neck on it and no sleeves, but it seemed like a pretty good spring dress based on the color and the simple design. She sighed, she wasn't "in love" with the color because pink was horrid and usually thought of as girly. The girl rolled her eyes, and puffed out her chest in pride before holding her breath at another thought.
Saskia is meeting me there tonight.. Annie's heart leapt in several emotions. Excitement, fear, happiness. She didn't know how she should feel tonight, but she was happy that Saskia agreed to go with her. She was also nervous for what was to come because she had heard of previous balls being disasters one way or another, the previous one she think had a fire at it but she could have been wrong. Either way, it was going to be an interesting night to say the least.
All the while she had been thinking about those thoughts she managed to get her hair done and she was very proud of it. She had to curl her hair previously before getting to the changing rooms and used a lot of hair spray to get it to say. See, muggle things worked just as well as magical items. After that she did a small braid crown and weaved some flowers into her braid making it have a really cute spring theme to it, which was the whole point of this ball since the original blossom ball was canceled.
After she had her hair done and her dress on, she had a little bit of makeup applied to her face. Some smokey eye and mascara, which some people thought was a lot for a young girl, but she thought it was appropriate for the event. Along with the simple makeup, she decided to wear nice brown sandals because if she wore heels she would probably trip because she was very clumsy, and if worse came to worse she could run from any potential danger. Annie sighed and checked herself in the mirror before leaving her bag, clothes and broom in the changing room.
She was ready to arrive at the party, for better or for worse. And she was going to try to have fun, while it lasted at least.
