I believe that it's a general consensus that we hide it, but honestly, I'm not 100% sure why.

hi hi!! I come with an answer, it is asked to hide locations and flavors of the beans for those that either A) enjoy the hunt and don't want the location of the been 'spoiled' if you will. Or B) people that like the randomness of not knowing the flavor so it's a nice surprise when they click on the location link and can see if it's one that they needed or not.
