What the actual heck?

Anatole, even at his weakest, hit Adam spot in the leg with his pathetic snowball. His hand had barely even released it, and yes, he thought he put absolutely no sort of power into the simple overhand toss, but it hit, exploding into a flurry of wetness and gorgeous white goop.

His blistered, red face managed a smile. It would only be a matter of time before the snow melted, leaving Anatole and the others with nothing better to do than sit around in class, blank expressions on their little faces, no sense of joy in this magical world.

As for now, he needed to regain focus. The snow already felt like mush below his drenched feet, and he was about to collapse face first, if it wasn't for the tree behind him. His breath was knocked out of his chest the last time he threw, so maybe, he just might get a little bit more revenge.

Slowly, his hands formed more snowballs, almost a fleet of cannonballs, ready to fire. Well, if you call a fleet two, then we're alright.

His freezing, red hands picked up the first monster as he scouted out a target. Who had hit him in the past rounds? Who did he not like?

Aha, he had it.

Lucette let out an excited screech as her snowball made contact with Ackerley... and instantly felt regret as more snowballs pelted him hard enough to make him stumble backward. She bit her lip, feeling a bit guilty and hoping he wouldn't find out one of those snowballs belonged to her. She slipped down into a sitting position, her back pressing against the snow fort's wall, grinning. She felt her time draw to a close and had to make up for it somehow... Who would she hit to make this time all worth it? She couldn't turn on her friends; she already had fun with Ez and doubted it would make her a target is she turned on them again. Then it hit her(metaphorically); she could hit Sawyer.

She was quite fond of her Head of House, despite his outwardly grumpy demeanor. And even if he didn't want to admit it, she felt like he at least found her tolerable. She hoped that his opinion of her wouldn't change after what she was going to do. Her gloves dug into the snow, a plan formulating in her head. Every single time she had targeted someone she never failed to miss, making her a bit... cocky. As one snowball rested in her hand, her hands quickly made another. At least throwing two would end this with a bang, and would give her more of a chance to hit him. She was pretty confident in her throw, though, but she still wanted to be sure. She quickly stood looking at her friends. They'd been by her side for this entire ordeal. *They're keepers.* With a quick step and swinging her arm forward, her first snowball was in the air, quickly followed by a second.
I have participated in all rounds! Honestly Serena, this was a blast! Thank you for setting this up! ♥

Reid was grossly underprepared for this fight. He could feel the weeks of colds coming on, surely he'd be sneezing and waking up the whole boy's dormitory. A warm cup of tea or hot chocolate could really come in handy. He felt someone try to help him up, perhaps a kind soul who finally came to his aid in need. But a muffled groan came from him at Sabrina calling him a 'loser' as he slowly stood up to brush the snow from his face. "More like champ for taking all of these snowballs, Hurst." he smirked, trying not to seem sore.

But gosh, he was sore and quite cold. The boy's hands came down to scoop up some snow, he was going to land a few more hits on some unsuspecting victims. He packed his snowball as he observed the chaos, watching Sabrina throw her own at Serena. When it landed, he winced and looked at the red head rather quizzically. "Oh, nice one Hurst." he grinned, slowly stepping back. Was he going to do this? Of course he was going to do this. The boy jogged backwards as he retracted his arm and tossed the snowball at Sabrina.

She should have known to keep her enemies closer, plus what was fun without a little bit of dramatic betrayal. He then packed his second one turned around to look for his next target, Slytherin, Gryffindor, Hufflepuff, and a Ravenclaw. The boy chose James, not hesitating to let the snowball fly with all of his might. Well, what was left of it anyway. He was exhausted.

Oof! Serena cringed as she saw multiple snowballs hit the Deputy Headmaster. Luckily, hers flew right past him so he was saved from that at the least. There were far too many snowballs thrown at him - whoops! Poor guy. Hopefully he did not plan his revenge on all of them - though it would be pretty amusing to see him throwing snowballs at little kids. Hearing Reyna's voice and feeling her arm on her own shoulders, Serena turned to her and nodded, "Yeah, we should finish up soon, everyone's starting to look knackered," She joked softly as she looked around. The snow on the ground had been fully disturbed too. A lot had melted as people ran through it or warmed it up with their hands.

The Gryffindor girl ran off to get some unused snow from the woods. Laughing softly at her dedication to this snowball fight - which had now seemed to turn into a battle - Serena grabbed some snow from a nearby patch. Forming a few snowballs, she looked around to see who she could target. Spotting Sabrina, she smirked a little. In all honesty, Serena missed the fact that it was that girl who had hit her earlier but she knew her friend well enough to be able to throw one at her now. Raising her arm, she pelted the snowball with as much force as she could muster towards Sabrina, who was pretty far away at this point.

As she threw it, she noticed her team mate return. The girl had a few large snowballs in her hand. Serena looked over to see who she was chucking it at. Perhaps she could aim it at them too. Her eyes widened a little as she noticed Siege in that direction. No- just no. She thought to herself, quickly looking away. She could not deal with him anymore. His presence alone was irritating and awkward enough without actually interacting with him. Then she spotted the girl aim it at Reid, which made her laugh a little. Poor Reid, recalling how many times he seemed to have been hit already. Deciding against throwing another one at him, she spotted Ben nearby and grinned. Perfect - revenge for the teapot incident. She thought to herself with a smile on her face as she picked up the second snowball and aimed it towards the Ravenclaw boy she knew.

Ezekiel shook his head as the snowball disintegrated before meeting his target. He scanned around again, everyone was throwing multiple snowballs, so he thought he should as well. His near frostbitten hands gathered up two snowballs and looked for targets. He wanted to hit some prefects, but Lucette was the only one close by, and she already hit him dead on in the chest, so he opted against that one. Then he saw some of the Head of Houses. He grinned to himself and closed some of the distance to make it easier to hit them. Now he just had to decide which of his professors he could throw a snowball at. His eyes darted to Sawyer. He smiled and moved in.

Ezekiel thought he was, well, firstly he was a professor. He was helping all the students becoming excellent wizards in the future. Then also he was his Head of House, keeping Slytherin in line in between his naps, and leading events. He glanced back at his small group that had formed right from the start, some he didn't know yet, but he knew he would in time. He looks back at Mellowrose and let the snowballs fly.

Aurelia had often went out of the castle's door to get some fresh air and escape from the stuffy castle walls, usually, the Breeze were chilly and the fields were green. Today, however, was different.

Aurelia crossed the door's threshold, she immediately embraced herself as the cold wind hit her, hugging her sides tightly. "Oooohh, it's f-freezing." She said with chattering teeth.

What was once green patches of grass was now white blankets of snow. There were no feathery creature singing thIer melodies today, instead were high pitch squeals of children from a distance.

Aurelia would watch as they threw clumps of snow at another. Laughing and screaming excitedly. It seemed fun though she never engaged in this kind of activity. She always thought snowball fights were troublesome and unappealing. She hated getting snow in her hair as it made it damp when she went inside. She also hated cleaning the snow from her clothes. She'd rather sit near a warm fire with a book on her lap and a mug of hot cocoa next to her.

The others were enjoying themselves. She watched them, she almost envied the fun they were having that she contemplated wether to join them. She then remembered she had to complete an assignment that was due the next day. She sighed. Aurelia was heading back to the castle when a snow ball aimed at her, landed next to her left foot. She smirked.

"Maybe just one snowball..." she said to herself.

She crouched and filled her hands with snow which she carefully moulded into a ball. She aimed it at the boy closest to her.

"Here goes nothing..."

[ ROUND 7 RESULTS ]

SUCCESS x2: Ava Silver successfully hit both of her targets, Serena and Reyna, with her impressive luck. She ends up getting hit by James Lachoneus before she can celebrate though!

SUCCESS x2: Eris Elcan has some really impressive skills. She successfully hit both Michelle and Ezekiel - hasn’t she hit most of her targets this game?! Unfortunately, she does take a hit from Adam’s snowball.

SUCCESS x2: Bloom Silverton secures Ben’s attention by throwing not one but two snowballs at the boy, successfully. She gets hit by Adam’s snowball before she can celebrate though.

SUCCESS + FAIL: Eri Windstone successfully managed to hit Professor Blackburn in the chest! As she is about to throw the snowball at Eris, she gets hit in the arm by Michelle’s snowball and her own ends up going off aim. Eris doesn’t get hit.

SUCCESS: Michelle Lynch successfully hits Eri in the arm, throwing her aim off! Before celebrating, a snowball thrown by Eris Elcan hits her.

SUCCESS x2: Adam Harringtom gets two swift attacks in. His first snowball hits Eris and the second hits Bloom! He gets hit by a snowball from Anatole though.

FAIL + SUCCESS: Reyna Calthorn’s first snowball narrowly flies past the sleeping Siege. The second snowball hits Reid with an impact, hurting more than usual with the rocks inside them. Oof! She gets punished quickly as she gets hit by Ava Silver’s snowball.

SUCCESS + FAIL: James Lachoneus successfully hits Ava with his first snowball. Unfortunately he somehow misses hitting himself?! Is that even possible? He managed it! Not sure if this means he has bad aim or very good evasive luck though… He does get hit by Aurelia Bezuidenhout so not sure how great his evasive luck is!

SUCCESS x2: Anatole Evans successfully hit both targets again! Look at him go!

SUCCESS x2: Lucette Brielle’s fondess for Sawyer was delivered in two mighty snowballs that both hit the professor in the chest.

SUCCESS + FAIL: Reid Kovacs successfully betrays Sabrina by hitting her in the back! What a bad Hufflepuff… He also tries to betray his house but fails to hit James as his snowball collides with Serena’s in the air. Revenge comes swiftly though. Reyna’s snowball, accidentally filled with a few pebbles and rocks, ends up hitting him in the back of the knee - oof! He ends up stumbling over and hitting his forehead. Double oof!

FAIL + SUCCESS: Serena Towers fails to hit Sabrina as her snowball collides with Reid’s mid-air. She successfully gets Ben though. But is quickly hit by Ava’s snowball.

SUCCESS x2: Ezekiel Wasek joins forces with Lucette and attacks his Head of House. Sawyer’s luck must be poor because both of the Slytherins sucessfully hit him with both snowballs. However, celebrations take a hold as he gets hit by Eris Elcan!

SUCCESS: Aurelia Bezuidenhout misses Adam entirely but successfully hits James!

As the snowball fight continues, people get more and more into it. Some drop out, others persevere. A few people take a little bit of a beating, sadly. Students start to get tired. Most of the snow in the grounds has started to melt away. All of the running around, people warming it up with their hands, students making snowmen or snow angels in the ground has started to make it disappear.

The sun had begun to set, it was getting dark now.

With little snow left and students getting tired, the professors decide to call it a day. The dinner bell was about to ring too. It was time to retire into the Great Hall for a well deserved feast.

Some students wanted to continue playing. However, Serena's scream echoed throughout the grounds at the sight of blood on her friend, Reid Kovacs' forehead after he fell over. It was enough to deter the professors from letting the game continue - her scream said it all really.

Sorry folks! Time to rest up, let your body heal and get yourself back into the castle before you freeze. Don't make Serena yell anymore!

Serena grins, fist pumping into the air as she sees her snowball hit Ben successfully. That was definitely revenge - all in the name of fun - for the whole teapot bunny incident. As she celebrated her hit, she felt a snowball hit her in the arm knocking her ego down a lot. She laughed softly as she brushed off some of the snow left on her cloak and looked over to Sabrina. The Hufflepuff had seen her own snowball crash into Reid's earlier, which was aimed at someone else. They had both collided and ended up breaking apart. What luck! As she looked over to the them, she noticed that he had been hit by her Gryffindor team mate's snowball. Her eyes widened at the sight. It wasn't snow that she had saw but rather... Blood?!

Serena's scream was all anyone could hear.

Her scream pierced the sky. It echoed throughout the grounds as she witnessed the blood on his forehead. That... was definitely not supposed to happen. It was snow!! This was not a major injury but Serena's worry and concern for her friends was far too dramatic for reasoning. The panic set into her body. You could hear it in her voice. "Reid!" She screamed again as she ran over to the Head Boy that she knew to be a head. He had once hit her forehead with a pebble, so perhaps this was karma's way of balancing the scale out. However, Serena definitely did not want him to get hurt, "Reid! Are you okay?!" She asked as she approached the boy, leaning down as he had fallen over, observing his forehead, "What th-" She started, trying to ask what happened before her eyes fell onto the pebbles and rocks nearby. A frown crossed her face as she realised that perhaps one of those hit him instead - or perhaps they were mixed into the snowball.

By no means did she think it was done on purpose. Her heart was far too innocent to judge someone to do that. She frowned, looking at him.

Well, looks like the snowball event was over now.

That was definitely one way of ending it.

Michelle saw her snowball make contact with Eri and she pumped her fist, she sure showed that sno- before she could finish her thought a snowball hit her in the back the first only of the game. She laughed and turned to Eris, finally someone had thrown back. She dropped to the ground and began picking up snow but she was cut short but a girl's loud scream and the professors calling the fun off. She groaned out loud, just when it was getting fun to bad.

Michelle dropped the snow and dusted her knees off, she might as well go in and get changed maybe hang around the fireplace before going to dinner. She sure hoped they were going to serve hot chocolate she was freezing.

She sighed as she began walking back to the castle, this day was fun, too bad that the day was ending and the snow was melting. The snow that was so beautiful before was disappearing and what was left was dirty from peoples boots. The dinner bell rung overhead and she ran faster into the castle, she'd have to skip hanging around the fire if she wanted to actually get some food at dinner.

Reyna watched as her snowball missed Siege, a faint thread of disappointment weaving its way into her. Then, watching her snowball hit Reid, she grinned slightly, but before she could even shout with joy, something caught her eye. Something that shouldn't be there. A color, a deep crimson, redder than the Gryffindors ties and scarves. Red. Blood.

Realization struck Reyna like a bolt of lightning. She felt as if her heart crashed from an adrenaline high, pure guilt and fear filling her. How could I do this? Will I be expelled for this? Reyna wonders, her body physically shrinking into a ball around her as she looked at her hands.

These are the hands of a bloodshedder... Reyna thought, guilt stabbing her heart sharper than a knife could. Then, she heard Serena's scream. It filled her with misery, made the pain in her heart ten times worse. Never... friends... the girl wondered, thinking of the friendship she had just sacrificed.

A strangled cry came from Reyna's lips, and she quickly slapped a gloved hand over her mouth, silencing the cries that came from her. A few tears streaked down her ice-cold cheeks as she rocked back and forth on the balls of her feet, unable to believe what she had done. All my fault... all mine.

And she had so desperately wanted to be friends with this girl, so desperately wanted to get to know her.I threw my chance out the window. Who would want to be friends with someone who makes their best friend bleed? Reyna wondered, the sorrow inside of her so great it physically pained her. She stood up to walk away from it, walk away from it all. However, a single voice tugged at the back of her head. Don't walk away. You owe her an apology, at the very least. Don't walk away.

Reyna hesitated in her steps, turning slowly to face the direction of where Serena was helping the boy she had just hit. I won't walk away.
