I’ve already owled a member of staff about this but wanted to confirm to could be possible.
I don’t have discord and that means it isn’t hard to plan RPGs. I am having to resort to having using owls which is hard and time consuming.
Maybe a forum that is dedicated to just planing since some people are not as fortunate as others.

I am sorry that some abilities seem to be unclear or leave room for misunderstanding. I will have a long weekend this week and will read through all of them, try to make the complicated ones easier to understand and remove or mark the ones that are under construction / in the works right now.Aurelia Notrésvace wrote: 29 Apr 2020, 01:14 Recently i have been clarifying about abilities in the discord Hogwarts help I was asking to know more on the perks to decide on the ability I should pick in fourth year. I was asking quite a lot mostly because i didnt clarify much when applying for my Monster Hunter ability in the past (or i did but things changed) and was slightly disappointed upon realising that +2 acc didnt apply on metamorph and seers but also partially asking because for S.W.A.G moderations. Would it be possible if those abilities that currently have no effects (eg. interception, potions prodigal, wand) be taken down from the race/abilities list or at least state that the effects/mechanics are currently in the works? Since I do think it is unfortunate if someone applied for an ability thinking that it would be of use, taking up a precious ability slot and it turns out the contrary.
I am not entirely sure what you are looking for. You want a special forum area that is different from our normal ones that would be hard to implement, as all the coding by Zach and only by Zach, and his top priorities are fixing bugs and making sure the site is running smoothly. If you are thinking of a sub-forum where plans can be discussed, I can bring that as a suggestion to the team.Lizzie Verdine wrote: 29 Apr 2020, 07:25 I’ve already owled a member of staff about this but wanted to confirm to could be possible.

Can there be placeholder homework for subjects that teach spells but aren't done yet? They could have no class roleplay bit but just the homework? Perhaps just an extra long roleplay?
I'm not saying enough isn't being done, I do know how long and straining it is to do homeworks. And for 3 years? Must be gigantic. But there's spells I want to learn and it's May.
I only have respect for the professors and I'm not disappointed cause it's fully understandable, but I don't think it should be left blank.

It’s not really a forum suggestion but I think it’s relevant.
In my opinion, you get your letter at the age of 11 and then turn 12 during your first year. Other people do not think that because they may be from a different country.
Since it is set with the English schooling. On the thread about ency and how to make a character there should be a little section for where it says what age you are in that year.
Example:
1st year:
You start as 11 and then graduate as 12
2nd Year:
You start as 12 and graduate as 13
I’ve seen lots of peoples ages wrong (in my opinion again) and they shouldn’t already be 12 because their birthday has already passed.
My characters birthday is probably on the first ones in the year. 5th September. This means that she would have been 11 for only 5 days and there was no point in saying she was 11.
There should also be a thing about if you register after your characters birthday that your character is the age they’ve are meant to be but you can backdate to make them younger.
I hoe this helps with something since I get pretty confused.

We are and have been enforcing the rule you mentioned, that you have to be 11 when you start your First Year at Hogwarts. For example, everyone that will join until graduation at the end of June will begin their Hogwarts experience in 2019. Therefore they have to be born between September 1st, 2007 and August 31st, 2008. This is not up to the students, but is a rule of the school. We tell players this both in Validation and during their Index registration.Lizzie Verdine wrote: 2 May 2020, 08:05 There should also be a thing about if you register after your characters birthday that your character is the age they’ve are meant to be but you can backdate to make them younger.
I am truly sorry for the inconvenience. We are currently working hard on publishing the missing lessons, but unfortunately, April saw every Professor (and in many cases also the HoH) busy with grading. The lockdown in many countries around the world led to an extreme influx of homework. The heaviest I remember seeing was 13 homework in 1 day for 1 subject.Oliver Hart wrote: 1 May 2020, 11:46 Can there be placeholder homework for subjects that teach spells but aren't done yet? I can bring this up with the Professors, but most of our lessons try to convey the knowledge (or a big part of it) needed to answer the homework within the lesson, which means that without the lesson there would be no context for the homework. This is especially relevant in subjects that have no or almost no canon material (Runes, Flying, HoM, Muggle Studies, Divination).

It'd be cool if errands could give opportunities for spells, like the origami errand could give the paper bird charm
Just an easy addition I noticed.
Edit: Another example, the embroidery errand could give the knitting charm

If it was possible, I would want to suggest an ability.
This is suggested with all the loner students in mind. It can make sense for a lot of characters roleplay-wise.LONE WOLF
"You work better when you're alone--whether it was by choice or one not of your own, you've learned to flourish in your solitude."
Your character gets a +1 (or a +2 idk how to balance) in checks for the success of their actions as long as they do not have other characters they consider allies in the same thread--or when they act for their own gain. Once they execute an action that intentionally benefits another character in the same thread, the buff will disappear for the duration of the event.
If you can't beat 'em, nerf 'em.

Maybe there already is one and I haven’t come across it yet, but perhaps a Calendar of Events. I’m currently wondering when their last day of school is and when summer begins.

I don't really know where else to put this but I had a problem with the voting system.
I got given 3 points this week but I did vote everyday. I did it 3 times on my computer and the other 2 on my Phone. I think there is so something wrong with Chrome on phones due to me not getting my points.
I'm not sure if this has ever happened to anyone else but I'm sure it could happen due to the amount of people I have owled and they said they use their phone. I don't really care about the 2 points I don't have because Ravenclaw is in the lead at the moment xD.
But I just don't want newer (or even older) users to not know what is happening if it does happen again.
I hope this doesn't make me seem whiny to anyone. I'm just trying to help.

In order to receive 5 points for voting, you need to vote all 7 days of the week.
You can find more about the voting system here.
