I don't think Google Forms lets us verify the identity of the players. How can I make sure that someone isn't voting while pretending to be someone else? But don't worry about that, I think I know what to do :)

I already have a plan and know what to do.

There is a way. You would of course have to trust the person who's filling out the form but you could have the Email collection turned on (asking for email used for the site) and you would also see the question filled out obviously. It's only anonymous if the creator configures the settings to not include email collection.

Edit: I saw Lear's post, I'm still posting this for future reference of course!
Thank you both you guys are amazing!

More importantly, it sounds like AI is what YOU, Zach, want and realize is best- and that's also important. Website moderating is hard, and if your soul and heart is not in the site, it will be reflected.
Thank you for your message. I recognize myself in almost everything you've written, and you've expressed my thinking on the subject more clearly than I could myself.

There is one point I'd like to clarify, though: the last paragraph. I don't want AI. I don't like AI neither. I try not to use it as far as I can. I see it as a tool that can offer certain advantages, but also comes with huge drawbacks in many ways. But yes, I do think it is the best in our situation: in this specific case, I genuinely believe this is a situation where the benefits far outweigh the downsides.

With all due respect, why try to implement it in the first place if you don't like it and don't want it? Plenty of solutions have been offered, I can understand the downsides. But it really seems like almost no one like's AI.
I feel like textured backgrounds is a very feasible solution, and would be rather easy to make & control how they look. I'm genuinely asking why that cant be done and it 'has' to be AI?

With all due respect, I don't understand how my words could be interpreted as meaning the exact opposite of what I wrote. I don't know whether I'd prefer it to be intentional or not.

you said that you don't like AI, and that you don't want AI in your message.

So forgive me I don't understand your confusion. I am simply asking why you are thinking about doing AI backgrounds if you don't like it?
This whole thread is about the possibility of AI backgrounds and yet you said you don't like AI. And again, AI doesn't have to be the only option. Because once more, the textured backgrounds.

Liking AI and wanting actual distinct images that indicate the forum area that are high quality, thematically consistent and accurately descriptive are different as he previously stated.

Zach, if there’s the ability to do the same survey you did recently that would be great, especially if it only allows for one submission, but also does not request information such as player’s name that could be a potential option.

I would be happy to assist if questions are needed for this of course.

It is going to be a poll with a simple question.

It is going to be done on site, I am creating a unique temp forum area and I am granting the Hogwarts usergroups access and manually adding graduates that have not made a new student yet. I am excluding iNPC and adults so that people all have the same number of votes, 1.
