It’s time for…Question of the DayWhy did you choose your character’s name? Was there any significance? Is there meaning behind the name?I’ll go first: Sabine is a French name that is common in her home country of Ghana. I wanted her name to have some connection to her roots. Blumenthal is a traditionally Jewish surname common in New York after diaspora; I wanted a surname that felt whimsical while also reflecting the diversity of New York City.

there is quite a lot of history behind the name - it's in the reducio below - its from my ency, Henry Knight did the research i believe
Reducio
The name Bailey means steward, official, or guardian. It dates back to the Middle Ages, with roots in Latin as well as Celtic languages. People called Bailey are likely to be very protective and loyal, but also clever and just as sharp witted. Taking into account its Middle English roots, Bailey is a very open minded and accepting person to everybody except those who upset her or cause herself or someone she cares for harm. The ley part of Bailey comes from Old English lēah, meaning woodland clearing. Baileys love nature and caring for things around them, and are often extremely creative.
Rose is derived from the Latin rosa, which referred to the flower. There is also evidence to suggest it was a Norman variation of the Germanic name Hrodohaidis, meaning “famous type.” In Old English it was translated as Roese and Rohese. People called Rose are kind and compassionate. They are often very beautiful and light hearted. She’ll be sweet and caring, but she is not without thorns. She knows when to strike and where. The colors that serenade the name Rose are lilac and purple, while lucky gemstones for girls with name Rose is amethyst.
Glade is of Old English origin, with the meaning of Glade is “shining". Glade is associated with deep forests and complexity. Glades are intelligent, there dimensional people, and should be taken seriously most of the time. Occasionally, however, they are known to make rash decisions that can affect them or those around them. Once they have got over this, though, they will spring right back into their normal shape. They’re super adaptable, and occasionally you might wonder if they know something you don’t.
we are all born beautiful. it is a tragedy we are convinced that we are not”

Divus in latin means something like 'godlike' or 'divine'
Originally, this character was a sort of godlike creature that just took the look of a like- 13 year old boy. He was made for a story kinda like the DSMP.
"I start to fall, then I cave and I push you away. You could call it self-sabotage, I love to dig my own grave."

I looked up French first names and Choose André as I think it was a really fun name! If I remember correctly its the French equivalent of Andrew? But I don't remember fully, it means warrior. His last name again looked up Russian last names, I choose Lebedev because it means Dove 👀Sabine Blumenthal wrote: 14 Feb 2023, 15:04It’s time for…Question of the DayWhy did you choose your character’s name?
