Well- one seems annoyed with me because I don't understand half of the stuff the person is talking about and thinks I should just look them up (even though my device loads two of every definition, (different definitions), and that perplexes me)

Wait- people are annoyed with you because you don't understand things? That's not nice at all, they shouldn't be.
If you need a good translator though, I can recommend deepl.com. It does full texts with barely any mistakes.
