Aedan was with his ma, preparing for his parents return later that day. They had been on another business trip, and had this time promised to bring him back chocolates. His ma and him mixed the batter, neither realizing that they had forgotten to add the baking soda. They put it in the oven and his ma heads into the den. Aedan is excited, so he stays near the oven, watching through the glass, waiting for the liquidy mess to turn into the perfectly delicious heavenly goodness. He accidentally falls asleep, and when he wakes up it’s because of the timer beeping. He and his Ma pull out a perfectly cooked cake and frost it. As they are putting away the ingredients and cleaning up the kitchen, his ma finds the baking soda unopened in the pantry. With a cry of joy, she explains to Aedan that he is magical and has just performed magic, making the cake a celebration not only for his parents return, but for his feat of magic.
