FAQ — Questions
Hi! I have access to the Room of Requirement, so does everyone else have it? I don't know that I had it before, but I also don't know if it's a given thing that you get on default.

FAQ — Questions
If you've recently purchased a Fake Permission Form, then you should have access to Hogsmeade and the Room of Requirement. It's normal!

Before me, you rightly tremble. But, fear is not what you owe me. You owe me awe....

1. Can a student change into their Animagi form off school property? I would assume no, not until they are of age at least, but I am curious if it would count as magic done off school grounds.
This ability needs to be registered with the Ministry of Magic. Once it has been registered, there should be no issue with using it outside of school grounds or one's own home, unless the Animagus gets in trouble / breaks laws.
2. Would temperature affect someone in Animagi form?
Example: If someone's animagi form was a lizard native to a desert environment, would being in the snow/cold for too long cause them to freeze up or slowly lose health.
We try to be as inclusive as we can be regarding the types of animals our players can pick. That's the reason why you won't simply die when you turn into a goldfish on dry land. That would be macabre, and not conducive to fun role-plays. That said, we would assume that basic common sense is used in Animagus RPs as it should be everywhere, really. In a modded event, you can guarantee that trying to break the laws of physics will have some fun consequences (for the audience, not necessarily for the player involved).

FAQ — Questions
Hey, I hope it's not a stupid or obvious question, but I was wondering how to upload pictures?
I was able to put a picture in my ency, but I can't figure out how to now. Whenever I paste the image link, even if I post it between the image code tags, it just comes up as the link, rather than the image. I remember seeing a post about how to do it, but I can't find it and would really appreciate some help.

If you're sure you're pasting it with [img]image link[/img], then the problem is likely with the image link itself. Make sure it has .jpeg, .png, or something similar at the end. When you're taking images off the internet, be sure to click 'Copy Image Address,' not just 'Copy Image.' I also suggest using an image hosting site like imgBB (select 'BBCode full linked').

FAQ — Questions
Do family members count as iNPC? Like, do you have to go through the process of getting an iNPC or can you just create that character?

FAQ — Questions
Family members are considered dNPCs, dependent non-player characters that can only be written in the presence of your PC and from your PC's perspective. You can flesh them out and create that character, but changes relevant to your character's life and backstory will likely require index reapplication to ensure they are realistic and allowed in our guidelines. You can find all NPC rules in this thread.
