Ami really needed to start thinking through what she chose to do because it turned out, haha, there were these nasty little things called consequences.

In her absent-minded attempt to kick the lid of the coffin, toes met face, and Ami gasped in surprise. "Fricking frick! Sorry." The mysterious voice replied to her joke with laughter, and Ami was pleased to hear that hey, she still knew how to crack a joke every once in a while.

Wait, what was that? The lid was moving, and holy crap the lid was off. Finally, some room to breathe"Hallelujah!" she screamed, pushing Leslez off of her and jumping to the surface. Oops, that was a little mean... "Sorry," she said sheepishly with a small smile.

Turning, she noted two very notable people that seemed to have heaved the lid off. "Aurelia... Anatole... thank god you saved us from there," she sighed happily, reaching to give both Aurelia and Anatole a hug. As she did so, she remembered the necklace around her neck, and reached to take it off. There were no more voices, thankfully... right?

Glancing around, Ami noticed Rosie crumpled on the ground, and another mound similar to their own a couple of feet away. "Hey, maybe someone's trapped in there... let's go help them out." Stuffing the necklace into her pocket, if she even got it off in the first place, Ami strode over to the other mound. Another coffin? Lear, just how twisted is your humor?

"Come on, guys, help me out here..." Ami chided, getting to work on trying to pry open the coffin lid.

Anatole was having trouble getting the coffin to open. He had only shifted the lid slightly and it barely even moved an inch. It was probably very heavy or the small boy just didn't have the strength to do it.

"Let me help." She said and curled her fingers at the bottom of the lid. Something was inside, there were muffled sounds emitting from the box, it was laughter. She hoped the might at least be a few goodies inside to lighten her mood for she had just been burn like a Hufflepuff a few moments ago by all people, a Gryffindor. The last time she had been burned was during the blossomball. Everyone knew Charles York, the girl had invited him to the ball, and he returned her act of kindness by lighting a few tables on fire. The ball of fire had came to close to her, the burned wasn't as bad and had healed quickly but it was garanteed that the one Anatole had given her would leave a nasty scar.

It wasn't as challenging for the girl to lift the lid open. She had quite a lot of brawn for a girl. Aurelis's twisted slightly into a light frown. She was disappointed with the contents in the box. A couple of Hufflepuff more to deal with. One of them was a familiar red head. Ami. She forced on a smile, she didn't want to give the girl a wrong impression that she didn't like her. Aurelia just wasnt in a very good mood and it was mostly due to the unbearable pain on her back.
Aurelia... Anatole... thank god you saved us from there
The red head reached her arms out towards her direction. Aurelia tried to step back but wasn't quick enough as she was embraced in a tight hug. She whimpered as Ami's hand contacted her bare burnt skin. It stung very badly. Aurelia almost shoove the girl away but thankfully she had let go.

The girl started towards another direction. Aurelia glanced ovver her shoulder to see an unconscious girl on the floor with Amadea crouching beside the corpse body and another mound. Probably a coffin with some other Hufflepuff contained inside.

She didn't want to deal with anything else. She just wanted the adventure to be over with. She was in discomfort due to her sore burnt back. The professors might have something to help with the pain. Grabbing her tourch, she began walking back towards the common area, passing Amadea and the unconscious girl without even glancing at them.

It was unlikely that Aurelia would be escorted back to the Scottish castle. Because if she was, it would mean the possible end to the adventure. She would most likely roll into her sleeping bag and sleep the entire adventure off even if he burns were untreated.
Actions: Head Back to the common Area. Ask the professors to heal her burns (if possible).

Cynthia was determined to set things right again after the camp-out incident.  She hoped she had what it took since she was on one of Professor Lear's adventures.  She watched as Reid and Serena set the tiles into place on the floor.  She read the words as DRAGON and KELPIE.  When the tiles that spelled out DRAGON were in place, the floor suddenly glowed red.  At least the cracks that appeared turned red.  Something with a tail and a lizard body emerged from the glowing red cracks in the floor.  She also noticed the claws and teeth.  Was this thing dangerous?  Cynthia didn't want to know.

Looking up at the thing that appeared before them, Cynthia gasped as she realized what it was: a dragon!!  "Reid, what did you do?  You released a dragon!" she exclaimed.  After a few moments of thinking, Cynthia came to a realization.  Looking back at the words on the floor, Cynthia realized that if a dragon appeared...that meant that at some point a KELPIE would appear.  Perhaps appearing from the vat of water that sat opposite the newly appeared DRAGON.  For now, she was simply frozen in place.  She seemed too terrified to move.

John’s hand discovered a smooth surface beneath the gravel mound. Upon this discovery the boy employed both hands to sweep off the dirt covering the object. John pushed enough of the gravel aside to reveal the surface (a door) to the open air. His efforts revealed a much larger object: one big enough to fit a tall fat student. Indeed, that’s exactly what it was: another coffin to join the others in this strange room. Stones were piled on top to keep it closed. This only made John more certain that someone was trapped inside. Immediately, he began knocking upon the door with his good hand.

“Hello?” John asked the occupant inside. He didn’t wait for an answer before pushing aside one of the stones. He couldn’t continue this action for long. Using both of his arms to move the rock quickly reminded John that one of his arms was still wounded by the fire. Once the rock was off the coffin, John had to stop in order to tend to the throbbing pain.

“Ah…” John moaned as his arm retreated towards his chest. He could have really used something cold to press against it. Like a bag of ice or…

“The blue wand!”

John quickly pulled out the blue wand from his robes. Yes, it was still cool to the touch. He had nothing else to use to tend to his wound (though the peanut butter was plan B). As he pressed the wand against his burned arm, his face scrunched up in preparation for the excruciating pain.
John reals a coffin hidden beneath the ground (presumably containing Howie).
He rolled a rock off before stopping.
He presses the blue wand against his burn wound in an effort to dull the pain.

It was wrong to trust Eris Fawley, evidently.

Rosie watched her walk away with the prize and felt her heart crumble into pieces. Max and Dorian were more important. She felt her fists clench and shake. There really were bad people in the world. And now, she was face to face with a giant monster snake. Her heart began to race, and her eyes widened. "O-Oh no-" Rosie whimpered and dived out of the way, rolling straight into the wall. She hit her head and let out a cry, rubbing her head and letting out another whimper. June was not a good month for Rosie, apparently.

She curled up against the wall and fiddled with the hook to her chain, unlocking it and getting herself unattached from the wall. Now she had a big chain to drag around. Rosie let out a groan and stomped her foot against the ground. "THIS WHOLE THING IS STUPID." She yelled, angry tears brimming at her eyes. She poked her ears and squeaked. They really were furry.

It was then she heard an unfamiliar voice, and Rosie turned her head to see... Lucy? That must be her. She was running over to Rosie frantically and questions started slipping out of her mouth faster than Rosie could comprehend through her head. She rubbed her temples and took a slow breath. The 'what are you' made her heart sting a little bit. Was she an it now? Rosie sniffled and rubbed her eyes. "My name is Rosie, I'm a human being who's been horribly cursed by whatever the bloody hell is going on, and no, I'm NOT okay, cause my friend just left me to fricken die, yes I need help, I heard something somewhere and I don't wanna go alone, I am a student, and I HAVE NO GOD DAMN IDEA WHY I'M WEARING A COLLAR." Rosie yelled, sniffling. She stood up and picked up the chain with her. "I heard stuff coming from over ther-"

It was then, that Rosie heard screaming. She turned to the door and her eyes widened. "Oh my god." Rosie mumbled. Was this just a game anymore? Rosie needed to get to where she heard the noises. Maybe that would help them escape. She sent one more look towards the 'friends' who abandoned her.

Whatever. If they didn't need her, maybe she didn't need them.

Rosie turned back to Lucy and pointed towards the south. "I heard something over there, my ears gave me enhanced hearing, or something. We need to go." She picked up her chain and started walking over to the destination of her suspicions, with Lucy, or without.

And she felt her heart sting again, as she realized, she really was useless to her so called group of friends. Maybe she should've gone with Anatole. It didn't matter now.

Rosie was on her own.

Interacts with Rosie Parker
"My name is Rosie," started the cat-girl, and Lucy perked up. Oh, she had heard about this Hufflepuff before. It was good to be able to put a name to a face. However, the girl continued to answer her questions, growing more and more upset. Lucy flinched back a bit, yielding under the strength of the girl's emotions and the volume of her voice. Her attention was then caught by something and she spoke again before leaving Lucy in the dust. "I heard something over there, my ears gave me enhanced hearing, or something. We need to go."

Lucy's eyes widened and she quickly hurried after Rosie. What had the girl possibly heard? At least they weren't going the same direction that the basilisk went. "Hey," she called, catching up to the girl and walking beside her, "It'll be okay. I'm sorry - I think your ears are actually kinda cute." Lucy was not joking - the girl walking next to her was adorable. "The chain looks like a pain, though. That's not fun, I'm sorry," she said, feeling a pang of guilt. If she had actually collaborated with the second group instead of rushing in ahead of them, she could have warned them about the password. But the puzzle was written on the door, so... was it her fault? Lucy decided that it was. "I bet there's a way to undo it. When you went through the door, there was a requirement for passing through. It was some sort of password. Our group didn't know if it was literally the words "a password" or if we should tell it a secret, but we did both. Maybe if you passed back through the door and tried that, it would all go away. I bet that would work!" Lucy smiled at the girl, trying to make up for her obvious breach of decorum earlier with her present enthusiastic optimism. "So, for now, maybe your abilities will help? Like, I couldn't hear whatever you heard. So maybe you were meant to be a ... cat... student?" she tapered off, not finishing as strongly as she would have liked.

Despite all of this, she attempted to forge ahead anyway. "By the way, uh, what exactly did you hear down here? You didn't really... mention it..." Lucy paused, looking sideways at the girl. For the first time, she realized that the girl might be upset by more than just Lucy's initial flood of questions. In fact, she looked a bit sad. If Lucy was a more observant person, she would have noticed this long before now. Alas, she only caught the barest trace of Rosie's sadness. She felt as if she should try to cheer up this poor cursed Hufflepuff. "Um, I don't know what's going on, and maybe this lock-in isn't how we thought it would turn out, but it'll get better. I'm Lucy by the way. I don't think we've ever actually officially met, but people have said lots of nice things about you."

The two travelled southward toward some mysterious voice that Lucy had not heard. She thought back to before they had entered the door; all she had wanted was some dinky prizes like small candies and such. Now she was poorly attempting to comfort a cat-creature after fleeing from a giant basilisk and being swarmed by a group of bats. No, this lock-in was not going how Lucy had envisioned it, either.

INTERACTIONS: Ami Procoppio, Rosie Turner, Huffrindors

Amadea stood in the room while everyone else around her moved around, checking things out and watching what everyone else was doing. They had all confirmed and caught up with each other about the things they had experienced during the mist, and Amadea was feeling slightly reassured that she wasn't the only one who had heard the eerie song. She wondered what it meant. Was it worth remembering? It must have some sort of importance in the lock-in, but what, Amadea wasn't sure of. She would file the song away in her memory, though, just in case it was necessary for later purposes.

She wondered how to proceed from here. As she knelt before the fallen Hufflepuff, Amadea wondered what she should do. She had thankfully discovered that Rosie had a pulse, and despite the horrible burns that ran up and down her skin, she looked okay. She could be peacefully sleeping, Amadea thought.  Unfortunately, Amadea didn't have the skills to repair any of the damage done to the poor redhead, who now had hair looking more raven colored from all of the ashes and soot. Amadea stood, walking away from the girl, knowing there was nothing that she could do to help. Maybe someone else would be able to do something about it, but Amadea was only a first year that didn't know any advanced healing spells or anything that might be helpful in the current situation.

She walked back over to the coffin which Anatole and Aurelia had opened, revealing two students sitting inside. Amadea was surprised to find that one of them was her friend, the one and only Ami Procoppio. "Ami!" she exclaimed loudly. Amadea was suprised to see how happy she was to see her friend. While she loved hanging out with the Huffrindors for the short time they had met each other, Amadea was really happy to see a familiar face. Ami was one of her best friends and Amadea felt reassured now that they were together. Maybe they could form one huge group and search together.

"How did you end up inside of a coffin?" she asked. Turning around to see what else was happening, she noticed her fellow Hufflepuff and Huffrindor, John, brushing away at a mound in a corner to reveal another coffin. Amadea wondered why there were so many coffins in this room and wondered if someone else was inside the other one. If there was, Amadea just hoped they were still alive. She had thankfully never seen a dead corpse before, and didn't want to break that streak of not seeing one ever. Especially tonight. Even though the lock-in had only been going on for a short period of time, Amadea felt as though it had already lasted a lifetime.

As Amadea turned, she spotted Rosie lying on the floor again, and remembered. Turning to Anatole who was also standing near the coffin that had just been opened, she asked, "Do any of you guys know any healing spells that might be useful? I don't want to just leave Rosie here but dragging her along might cause more damage and I don't know any spells that could be helpful in healing her." Amadea was worried about her fellow Hufflepuff. She didn't look dead, but Amadea couldn't make any assumptions. The pulse she had found was weak and there was no telling how long it would stay for. Unfortunately, there was nothing she could do, except continue on with her quest.

Amadea followed Ami over to the coffin and put her hand on the lid, running it over the smooth surface. The burns had thankfully not reached her hands, as the fire had hit her from behind, so she figured she would be able to open the coffin easily. "Does anyone else care to help us open this?" she asked, looking around. John seemed to be preoccupied with the blue wand he had somehow acquired and Amadea made a mental note to ask him about how he had gotten it later. Maybe it had some special powers that could be helpful. Who knew?

"Okay Ami," she said, positioning herself to open the coffin. "Let's do this."

Howie pushed with all of his might against the lid of the coffin. Sweat began to gather across his brow from the exertion, the veins in his face bulging. With a noise similar to a battle cry, he gave one last final push, but it was no use. The coffin lid barely budged. He was trapped here. Howie gasped for air, trying to catch his breath. Then the disembodied voice spoke to him again.
"Oh dear, they cannot hear you,"
"You have to play the game to win."
"Tell me Howie-baby,"
"Tell me a story,"
"Play the game..."
Tell a story! You lock me in a coffin and now you want story time!! Howie grasped at the pendant around his neck, from which the voice seemed to be coming from, squeezing it hard in his free hand as if to crush her. Fine! She wants a story. Howie racked his mind, searching for some memory that would satisfy her request. He closed his eyes, reliving the moment as he told her his story.

”It was last year, on my eleventh birthday.” He spoke in a whisper. “The lady from Hogwarts showed up...I’ve forgotten her name...anyways, she arrived with my letter. It didn’t go over well at first, she had to pull her wand to get my dad to back off. He thought it was all a hoax at first, but a little magic from her wand shut him right up.” Howie’s throat tightened with emotion as he continued his short story. The rush of adrenaline and fear had left him emotionally raw. He was scared. “She spoke mostly to my parents, sitting in between them as she showed them all of the paperwork and whatever. I don’t really remember exactly what she said, but she handed my mum a bit of parchment...” His voice broke slightly. “After she read it, she looked up at me with a look I’ve never seen before. It was like she was seeing me for the first time or something...like maybe...maybe she was afraid of me.”

A few tears rolled down from the corner of Howie’s eyes. His story had turned into an admission. He didn’t blame his mother for her reaction, for he felt same way. To everyone around him, Howie would appear to be a happy-go-lucky kid, full of life and laughter. But, on the inside he struggled with who he was. The magic that courses through his veins terrified him, it sometimes felt like more of a curse than a gift. “There...there is your stupid story.” He mumbled as he dabbed his eyes. “Please let me out.”

WHOOSH!!!

A familiar noise brought Howie back to the present, his eyes snapping open. He knew that noise, for he heard it frequently at his parent’s bakery. That was the sound of ignition, like a ball of gas had just been set alight. It was hard to make out what was happening above him, he heard a few muffled cries. Howie resumes beating on the top of the coffin. “HELLO!! Who’s out there! Is everyone alright?!”

He paused for a moment to listen for any reaction. Then he heard it. Slight scraping noises from the lid of the coffin, and muffled voices. Someone was there, attempting to free him. “Hey! It’s Howie! I can hear you. Dig me out! Please!”

Alan looked at Max and Dorian, they kinda did it, right? Even though he might have found it disgusting if he was in his right mind. Alan could do nothing but stare at Dorian and Max, who both were interacting with each other. He could see the wound Max gave the other boy and bit his lip slightly, before turning to Max. Because Max would know what to do now, right? “Max? What are you planning to do now?” The blond boy asked, with a smile, visible not thinking clearly. His eyes were strange, as if they were fogged. Would the other even notice?

The young boy smiled sweetly, intoxicated by the potion running through his system. It would be a matter of time and situation if he would start fighting the effects, IF. So far he seemed like totally strange, the potion effecting not only his actions but also his thought. It spread out like venom. Why was his heart beating so fast, when he was looking at the other blond? Why were his lips becoming dry, while he was unable to form any words? Why were his hands nervously shaking? Alan did not know, he was too young to understand and still was feeling what he was forced to feel. Clearly if he could think of anything but Max Avery the only thing he would feel is fear, fear from what is happening to him and lastly confusion.

When another girl got close to their group, one that Alan should have remembered from the main hall, his senses snapped. The feeling to protect took over as this girl, might be a thread to the group. “Max! She could be dangerous, let me protect you!” He muttered, loud enough for him to hear and react to what was about to happen. Alan trying to cling to Max side, these images that one could remember from sappy series, where the girl would annoyingly cling to the bad boy. Alan was not acting super-fast, enough time for Max to react to what was about to happen to the boy, who despised human contact.

Spinning, spinning, spinning

Either the whole room was spinning, or Dorothy was.  It was turning, dipping, and flipping upside down in a wild manner.  A drum was playing in her head, growing faster and faster as the room spun.  Dorothy didn't like this anymore, or maybe she did.  This was a bit like a roller coaster.  Did she like roller coasters?

Dorothydorothy-Dorothy-Dorothy-D-d-Dorothy-doooooorothy-Dorothy
Her name was ringing in her ears now.  Sometimes as a whisper, sometimes in a wild scream.  Dorothy.  The small girl sat down hard and put her hands over her ears.  Blood rolled down to her elbows and dripped to the stone floor.  Her eyes were squeezed shut, a tear escaping onto her cheek.  She rocked back and forth, occasionally bursting into a fit of giggles.  The blonde girl had been cursed with intoxication, and the spell was taking effect in a strange manner.  She was laughing and crying as her pale head swirled with euphoria.

Whoo! This was weird.  The drum in her head was banging, mixing with her name and pounding against the sides of her brain.  Dorothy opened her eyes and clawed at her hair with bloody fingers.  Scarlet combined with white gold and made a line  through her cheek bone.  She turned to Max and frowned.  He was smiling widely, and twisting meat-heads gray sock.  Blood poured from the sock as the boy wrung it out, splattering to the floor with sickening volume.  Dorothy gasped and crawled backwards.  The small pool of blood crept across the floor, expanding as it neared her.  It suddenly sunk into the ground and disappeared completely.  Her arm felt like it had been plunged into icy water.  She glanced down to see rainbows running down her arm from what looked like a little cut.  Strange... and funny! Ha!

She was seeing things
Dorothy's stomach could take no more.  Warm saliva filled her parched mouth as bile crept up her throat.  Sinking to her knees, the girl crawled to the side before violently expelling the contents of her stomach.  Her arms trembled as she crawled shakily away from the puddle.  The fog that seemed to muddle her thoughts evaporated as she lost her lunch, and she viewed the situation with renewed clarity.   The first thing she felt was a blinding pain coming from her arm.  The 'rainbows' coming from the 'cut' turned out to be blood.  Lots of blood.  The amount of red liquid coming from her arm was truly nauseating.  In fact, it was so nauseating that she would later say it would have caused her to vomit had her stomach still been full.  The skin, the blood, and good God!  Was that bone?  No, it had to be just bits of gravel.

This situation had definitely been unexpected.   How had she gotten here?  The last thing the girl remembered was walking through the door after whispering a secret.  It must have enchanted her with a powerful sort of magic, the kind that messes with people's heads.  Looking around the room, a few startling things came into view.  Firstly, the Avery boy was emptying a teacup filled with blood into a goblet held by a statue.  The meat-head boy was sitting on the ground shouting.  Mangled bird corpses were strewn about his feet, which were covered with blood.  There was the little gnome child, and she was speaking worriedly.  Dorothy was still bleeding.  Blimey!  She was covered with the stuff.  Red liquid adorned both hands like gloves, smearing onto whatever she touched.  Her torn arm was coated in blood. It was even in her hair. Was her head bleeding too?

None of this was supposed to happen.  Where were the professors?  Whose idea was this?  Dorothy's took a deep, shuddery breath and gingerly prodded at the wound.  Her robe sleeve had already been torn off, presumably when her arm was injured.  It seemed like a good idea to ignore it at the time.  She attempted to cover the wound with her red hand and stood up slowly.  Bad idea.  Her head throbbed painfully, and her limbs felt like noodles.  Had something happened to her shoes? They felt odd.  Ignore it.

"Please, let's go, all of us."

The gnome child, Eris, was practically begging them to leave.  To end the horrifying adventure that had only just begun.  Was that right?  They hadn't done anything!  No treasures had been found, no discoveries had been made.  Why stop now?  Maybe it would be better to push on, to ignore the pain and conquer the challenge set before them.  Was it worth it?  Nearly everyone in the room was bleeding.  All this for a trinket or bragging rights?  No.  That wasn't logical.  "Y-you're right.  It's not w-worth it."  Would the door they had come through allow them to exit?  "How do we get out?"  Either the risk of the situation had fully sunk in or she had lost too much blood.   She crossed her arms and took a couple of deep breaths.  Getting worked up would only make things worse.  In-out.  Just breathe, Dorothy.

Meat-head was hurt too.  Dorothy walked over to where he sat, feet bleeding, and addressed him softly. "How bad are you hurt?"  She sat down heavily beside him and pulled off her tie, holding it out for the boy to take.  "Wrap it."  Clumsily pulling off her own shoes, she surveyed the damage to the soles.  Both soles had somehow been torn almost completely off so that her hand could be put through it.   She shrugged and tossed them aside along with her socks.  Must have been the door spell.  Standing up, she offered messy hand to the boy with a serious expression on her countenance.  "Can you stand?"  A few drops of the red stuff dripped from the arm she held to her chest.  She foolishly hoped he didn't notice.
