Well, Stephen made his way back to the Leviathan platform feeling better about his performance this round than he had in the last round. But it was a marginal uplifting of his spirits. Clearly this game was not favoring him or his team. Sometimes competition just went that way. The good news? He did not trip on his damn shoelace this time. That was progress. He made it easily past the Parrots' obstacle and successfully distracted for his teammate, but the single upperclassman defending the incredible horde of multi-colored flags was a female phenom. Her strength and agility were an absolute marvel to behold. And appreciate her he would, or her abilities to be more exact, but not right then. Appreciation and a post-mortem of how he could have done better would come later. At the time he had been laser focused on his job of the moment - distracting and then stealing. Or trying to, that is.

Stephen was fast and strong himself, but that girl? She easily bested him. And not just him; she had cleaned everyone’s clocks. It was a match he could appreciate and even in defeat, it revived the drive in him to be better than he was; to be at least as impressive one day as the deceptively diminutive she-Hulk who had stood before him.

There was a silver lining to everything if one looked hard enough. Even in defeat.

It was absolutely disastrous. This time there were four of them. Disregarding their years, it was just hard to focus. Even though she was good at noticing, it didn't make her any good at physically defending. Especially if the attackers tackle. It didn't hurt (not quidditch still, not Vladimir), but it was still quite an unpleasant experience.

So, she lost all four and slowly, panting, give herself some rest as the happy attackers retreated back to their ships, and her team coming back to theirs.

"Okay, it becomes a bit... a bit... difficult," she was still panting, "Maybe... just maybe... I'd appreciate," she didn't finish the sentence verbally, but just made a few gestures, signalling what she meant and what would help.

Where was magic when you need it so desperately? Maybe it was time to stop throwing herself at random things (no) and go jogging with Pericles to boost her stamina?

Starlee decided that she might as well try to go after a ship again rather than return with the one flag she had. She felt as if she had been doing rather well so far, might as well try to keep that streak up and return with two flags and not one. So, once again, Starlee would return back to the Pink Parrot's ship, yet again managing to make it through their obstacle with no issue. 'If only I could make it through ours as easily' she thought, thinking of the Pirate dummy that had whacked her on her attempted return.

Sadly, this time things definitely did not go according to plan. Once again the same girl that Starlee had tried to attack last time blocked her path, and she adapted her strategy to attempt a steal. The girl saw her coming almost instantly, and swiped Starlee's flag back. Groaning, Starlee accepted her fate and attempted and failed once again to make it back to the rest of her teammates. Yet again she misjudged the spacing of them, and got knocked into the water below. Upon recovering, she would kick a dummy in protest as it swung back and forth in front of her.

"I'll... I'll get it next time team... I promise!" she would yell at them through the mass of swinging pirate dressed dummies in front of her.

Florian was feeling okay about their prospects. They weren't in first yet, but they weren't in last either, so they still had a shot. He decided that this would be just the momentum he needed to come out victorious. So, Florian would set out once again on a mission to grab another flag.

If it ain't broke, don't fix it, so Florian once again headed over to the Pink Parrots in an attempt to steal a flag. He easily made it past their obstacle once again, no problem for the super smart Florian. This time, however, stealing the flag was much harder, practically impossible. It was the same girl as before, but she didn't even fight back after Florian threw a punch right at her. The girl was too nimble, easily dodging. Dejected, Florian would return to his shipmates, flag-less, as did every other person who attempted to steal from the girl this round. Problem was now, that their captain had managed to let every single attacker run off with one of their flags, putting them in a solid last place. This simply wouldn't do for the young French boy.

They would have to come up with something good, although flags being worth more was certainly something he could possibly work with.

Maybe defending wasn't his best... him. Oliver and Kim were able to make their way around him despite him seeing them coming. He grunted in dissatisfaction as he watched them make their way back to their own base with Coral flags in hand. They only had 4 flags left, and only 3 flags making them sit pretty in last place. They could still win, maybe. But it would take some intense successes and strategy.

His eyes scanned the battlefield, his Horned Serpent mind running numbers and possibilities. Trying to predict what the other teams would be doing. Would people try and wipe them out from flags? Would they go for other teams with more flags? People were incredibly unpredictable. Especially when pack tactics came into play. After all, he was only a teenager and not a professor in psychology. So his theories could barely hold up to a grain of salt. His mouth screwed up into a tight line, not really sure of where to go from here. He watched as his teammates returned to the base, feeling slightly embarrassed that so many people got away with flags. It wasn't just him defending, so it wasn't all his fault. But still, he was better than this and now his team wouldn't even see that.

Bubba was still very flustered by another chance encounter with Greta as he started doing his own maneuvers to get in position for the next round. Still, in the end, he couldn't quite believe it. As completely and utterly useless as he'd felt, he'd actually managed to steal a flag! He certainly didn't think it would come off but he supposed you still had to buy yourself a ticket to get yourself in with a shot. He was actually having some real fun for the first time in the entire game. Still, he couldn't get all excited and start pissing himself because he'd accomplished something, there was still a game to be won after all!

Then Bubba's attention was immediately drawn to Teal's Treasure, which, somehow, had burst into flames. He certainly hoped that everyone had made it off the ship as it was now taking on water very quickly. He stood there for a moment, transfixed, as the smoldering wreck of the once stately ship sank into the watery depths below.

After taking what he thought was both a socially and nautically acceptable amount of time to mourn the loss of the ship, Bubba once again steeled himself for the final round. It was time, this was the money round and he needed to step it up. Go out there and get that W for the Pink Parrots.

Scowling as her attack failed, Bea watched as Evelynn from across the Pink Parrots ship. Surely she could get something for her team. The final round was coming up and Bea knew it would be now or never to gain points for her team. It seemed that Pax's announcement of the last round would be met with the bright burst of flames to the Teal Treasures ship. An audible gasp left Bea's lips as she tried to grasp the image of the dying ship sinking into the water. Hopefully the team were all off it...

People were running to and fro now, but somehow the course looked larger with one ship gone. More ground perhaps? Either way Bea was happy. It more of a contest with the four remaining teams. Deciding she'd like to confer with her team over standing like a stunned mullet, Bea jumped over the Pink Parrots ship side, and hit the wooden deck below. Waving at Evelyn, she shouted up, "Until next time! Hopefully I can win!" Turning to her ship, she hoisted herself up and sidled up to her now new captain, Eliza. She grinned, proud that her new friend had been made captain. Hopefully her different way of thinking would mean more wins for the team.

The new position as team captain made her feel very important even though she didn't really do anything different from the previous rounds or anything spectacular at all. In the young girl's mind, it was the perfect opportunity to prove she was worthy and not a failure. However, a captain role wasn't cut out for somebody as introverted as Eliza and she struggled quite a lot with the newfound responsibilities at first.

The nerves about being a captain made her perform worse as a defender, being unable to stop the one person that tried to steal a flag from her team's ship this round. Wanting her team to win, she tried to give it her all but it simply wasn't enough for this round to stop the other student from stealing one of the beautiful treasures.

It had been very important for the blonde to perform well, so it was safe to say she was really disappointed when she noticed the missing flag. Luckily, once she saw the face of her tent mate, Beatrice, the nervous feeling faded a little bit and she was able to focus more on the game. Elizaveta replied with a small smile from her own on her tent mate's proud smile.
