So it looked like Slytherin was still winning. They could still take back the victory though, if Evelynn managed to get the snitch. Be careful what you wish for. Scarlett got hit by some unknown Beater and felt a crumpling pain in her side as she blacked out from the pure agony of a metal ball hitting her in the ribs. And so she fell towards the ground, just like in SWAG the other month. Why did the ground have to be so hard? Thankfully, she slipped in unconsciousness just as she slammed into the pitch.ReducioAction Doing as strategized

@Alan Vanes, @Rafael D'Spacito & @Evelynn DecipioSo, Alan wasn't quite a huge fan of the boy's overbearing excitement. That being said, perhaps the energy was helping them both perform a little bit better. Letting Alan take control with the first grab and score, Piérre then attempted to play the bread winner, but with stiff fingers, as Piérre grabbed for the ball, an unnervingly chilly wind bit through his clothing, and instead of clutching the leather to his chest, the ball ricochet off of his fingertips, being caught instead by the other competing Chaser. However, Piérre would watch as the ball went awry and bounced off the ring itself. The boys would be unable to catch the ball again, and another ten points and a tie would go up for the round.
Blowing into his hands, Piérre shrugged. "Sorry. It's a little cold... I'll do better next time, I promise!"
Watching the rest of the action, Piérre saw the Snitch dance in Evelynn's fingertips... it was in, no it was out... IN INNNNN!!! SHE HAD IT, SHE GOT THE SNI-
The golden orb was off again. And somehow Dan the opposing Seeker still hadn't spotted it yet! It was a long whistle moment if Piérre had ever seen one. "Shoulda given her a caveat for that. Got it fair and square, huh Alan?" Piérre murmured to his host, exasperation barely building inside. Rafa couldn't have been happy, and by his face, Piérre knew that he was more than miffed. "Captain! It's okay! We still got a huge shot! Just tell us what to do. I believe in you! I believe in you all!"
Scarlett went down, and Piérre squeezed Alan's biceps harder, his thin fingers seeking protection and stability from the elder rider. Nobody had come after them this round... but that was probably only because most of the team had been off on a penalty lap. Now the team was coming back, and if Piérre knew anything about the Snake-Lion rivalry, blood was going to be shed. Now Piérre had two fellows to visit in the infirmary when the game was over...
He was desperate to ensure that a third would not join them... especially not he or Alan.
"Here we go, Al! This'll be the last round, trusty player number thirteen can feel it." And the Britalian focused once again on the scene, eager for the next action that was sure to not only thrill the players, but the crowd as well. Piérre was an entertainer. He would entertain to the best of his ability.

@Griseldis Edelhardt was already grounded, an early casualty to this war. With the fall of @Scarlett Aden, the second string beater, only @Kyle DeRook remained. He would be the final stalwart defense between Erin and her quarry, @Evelynn Decipio. She wondered if he would defend her again, their precious queen. The entire team had come to her defense at the expense of themselves. It was an impressive display of teamwork and perhaps foolhardy heroics. She doubted Slytherin would do the same for @Dan Palmer. It was to an extend eviable, their sense of self-destructive loyalty. It might just be their downfall, their numbers had dwindled as they refused to put their friends to rest. They might be wearing red jackets but they were honey badgers deep down.
Without a another back-up beater, she would look to Kyle. The last of his kind. He was sharing a broom with @Rafael D'Spacito, together they made a powerhouse team. Problematic if they were able to afford breaking away from Eve, they were the only duo that had any chance of taking her down. She gave them a half smile, she honestly wanted them to try. That would prevent them from protecting Eve, that would prevent them from returning Kyle to his own broom. Their superior action economy was the only thing keeping them in the game as the snitch perpetually outpaced Eve. Eventually she would catch that snitch and hold it in her hands, it was just a matter of time. Of course it was a gamble letting Erin live, every round, it was a guarantee that another one of them would be knocked from their broom. A guarantee that another would meet the earth. It was a war of attrition at this point.
One... by one...
She was concerned about @Alan Vanes, the only one that she could not one shot. He could not defend Eve and he already had Pierre on his broom. A save would be difficult, perhaps even unlikely unless they had a bluebottle or some sort of skillset she was unfamiliar with that would allow her to consolidate the fallen. For the last two rounds Alan had went for the snitch with @Piérre Marchonné, it was one of the reasons their team might not win on Quaffle grabs alone. The present score was 90 Slytherin, 50 Gryffindor and in no small part they had Alan to thank for that. If they had not done this it would have likely been 120 to 30, this next round 150 to 30. Even if Eve got the snitch this round, they would have won by a n arrow margin that would be lost the round thereafter. Of course the question now was, could they spare them with their limited action economy on a quaffle grab or were they going to put everything into this final attempt to grab the snitch?
Eve and @Anastasia Beckett share one broom. They can only try to get the snitch, try again and see if they can grab that wiley device, hiding behind the wall of flesh that is Kyle or they could risk it all and spiral dive after the snitch, foregoing all defense in hopes of a victory. In truth, Gryffindors were known for their recklessness but this team was playing it safe... playing it smart. Most would have taken the bait and went for the part Veela, wasting an action as they attempted to take out an admittedly obvious threat but not their priority at the time. Others also would have failed to consider the need to grab those quaffles these last rounds, Alan was a durable young man but he was also nimble and good at outfoxing the snakes on the field.
There was no way she could guess what they were going to do.
She would look to Palmer, wondering if again he would ask her to target Eve. She wondered if he would rather have her target Alan, the wall of beefy manliness (if you look at his stats) in a stickman shaped package so that he was a lesser threat for the rest of the team if they needed to take him out. He was of course still looking for the snitch that Eve was actively pursuing, that little glint of gold always just outside the periphery of his vision. They might need to invest in glasses for their Seeker in future games. The others were back from their lap of shame, they had a full roster but in truth it might be too late. If Eve gets that snitch, game over but this had been the scenario for quite some time. Fate seemed to have other plans.
Were they going to take the cautious approach or were they going to go for the gold? What was Dan going to do about it?

This, undoubtedly, was the most frustrating thing Dan had ever done. Dan had played battle royale games. Dan had played Call of Duty online with the sweatiest nerds he had ever seen. He'd taught many noobs how to play Smite and Magic the Gathering. He'd gone through every game in the Dark Souls series, Bloodborne, AND Sekiro. And THIS. The frustration of this game of Quidditch outstripped them all.
"This is a crock'a shite!! Where's the damn golden ball, fer fecks sake?!"
This game was becoming cartoonishly ridiculous. One Seeker couldn't find the snitch to end it, and one seeker couldn't catch the snitch to end And, of course, Kyle was still here too. Bleeding Gryffindors were getting outwitted by Dan again and again ad nauseum, but were STILL here.
"How'r the lotta ye toothless kittens so damn lucky?? Ye givin' de gods a little sum'n sum'n under de table, are ye? Bloody shower'a gobshites, ye are!!"
Dan was irritated at EVERYTHING now. The Gryffindor team, the fact that Evellyn wouldn't FALL OFF LIKE SHE WAS SUPPOSED TO, all of this rain that would all but guarantee that both teams would all get colds; was there honestly no magic forcefield or something they could put over the quidditch pitch when it rains or snows?
Dan focused his attention back onto finding the snitch. Not that he was going to, not with all the happy endings the Gryffindor team was giving the Quidditch gods. But he was going to try anyway.

Koko was never the type to need to do a penalty lap, and goodness, she had never imagined how awful it might be to do one in the pouring rain. She thought back to her first flying class, rolling her eyes when she remembered how Professor Ryker had told the class to watch out for bad weather.
Now, Koko wasn't a Muggle meteorologist, but she was pretty certain this wasn't good weather.
Pushing a stray strand out of her hair, Koko sighed, and she halted for a second to blink the water out of her eyes before going on. The Quidditch Pitch wouldn't lap itself, Koko told herself, and she began to pour on the speed until she could feel the wind whipping past her face, biting into her skin and making her cringe.
She shivered as she finally neared the end of her lap, the cold just now getting to her. It wasn't bad, per se; she supposed she just wouldn't like to fly in this sort of weather again. She knew that was unlikely, but tilting her head to the side, Koko took her place by the hoops once again. She'd just have to deal with it, really; what else could she possibly do?Mod guide:

And the match dragged on. The torrential downpour refused to let up, cold droplets still pelting the pitch and soaking into everyone's Quidditch robes, and there seemed to be no end to the storm nor the game. Despite Thora's rather subpar vantage point, being on the ground and thus far from the action above, she could tell that Dan still hadn't even spotted the Snitch. It was only a matter of time before Evelynn caught it, having been it hot pursuit for a while, so Dan needed to find it. Slytherin was up by 40 points currently, thanks to their numerous Quaffle scores, but even that margin would be insignificant if Gryffindor caught the Snitch.
Worried, she gnawed harder on her lip. On the bright side, her team had been impressively efficient with their attacks this round, given the fact that three of their players were taking their penalty laps, and Gryffindor was left with only one beater - who was sharing a broom with his captain. The war over the Quaffle continued, each team scoring once with the keepers away from the hoops.
In the grand scheme of things, Slytherin was in a fairly good spot in every aspect - aside from anything having to do with the Snitch, which was perhaps the one most important part. As long as the Snitch evaded Dan's scans of the field, darting out of his line of eyesight, they were in a bad place. They hadn't lost yet, but Thora could feel any last vestiges of optimism draining, washed away with the rain. She wasn't yet eligible to play, Koko still being in the game, so all she could do now was watch and hope for the best.

Pain, harsh and unanticipated, exploded into the side of the young Captain, and in that moment, Rafael couldn’t help but growl into the moist air, biting back a few ill-intended words in the hopes of maintaining what semblance of professionalism he still maintained on the field. Of course, he should’ve known better – the whole point of such a maneuver had been to buy Eve more time to catch that damned snitch, the one the universe seemed to have been playing ‘keepaway’ with the entirety of the match thus far. Greater powers, Rafael cursed, it’s not fucking funny anymore. They’d lost too many individuals, strained their ranks too hard to not have stolen away a victory by now. What was with this, anyways? It would seem as if rational thought would desert the child in this instance, the source of his distaste and aggravation taking the form of a redheaded seeker named Evelynn Decipio instead of the obviously overpowered offensive line of Slytherin. God, he swore inwardly, why won’t she catch the damned snitch already? She can see it, can she not? What is so damn hard about this?
He supposed, in the end, their efforts mattered little if she didn’t succeed in the end. As such, the young man would grit his teeth, forcing his insults down into the depths of his stomach and foraging forward into the fray. He made a mental note in that moment to look out for opportunities going forward, as it was likely that Dan was to force his entire offensive line against their seeker in this coming round. What could they do? Making a quick decision, the child would mutter a few more words into the ear of his older, stronger broom partner, before banking expertly on his broom once more, preparing himself for their next move.

Interception | When a Quaffle is being passed, users with this ability automatically get a chance to Intercept the quaffle. This does not replace their normal action for the round. This puts the quaffle in your and by extension your teams' possession.
Also, if the Quaffle is dropped for any reason, you would automatically (without it taking up an action) attempt another Quafflegrab. At present there would be no mid-round way to drop a quaffle due to the order of operations, however there will be certain effects in future patches that can cause this effect. [Bodyblow? They continued to move and weave through the air and Kyle was finding it hard to properly handle and focus riding as a passenger as opposed to his experience riding solo. He was doing his best to keep at his duties as a beater but as the bludger came his way he was unable to move his bat in time to get into a position to smack it away and the captain he shared a broom with took a nasty hit. The Broom rocked and he did his best to keep his grip but for a split second he almost lost it but managed to keep a firm grip and remain on the broom. He looked around and scoped out the field. they were outnumbered and with each passing moment the game was getting into more and more danger of falling beyond saving. Something needed to happen and it needed to happen soon.

Ana was more than ready to get out of the cold and dry off. At Evelynn's urging, she accerlated even more. The cold wind and rain cut through her thin Quidditch uniform and her brai whipped around wildly, but she tuned everything else out. While she vaguely registered the sound of gameplay and scores, she was focused on one thing. She refused to let this win slip away from them. She heard whizzing and sickening thunks that were far too close, likely the sounds of their teammates shielding them from bludgers. She could thank whoever it was later, right now they had a snitch to catch.
The snitch was so close Ana could have sworn Evelynn had grabbed it, but it seemed to dance away at the last moment. Maintaining her focus and doing her best to channel her annoyance into fuel, she darted after it. Ana wasn't an empathetic person in the best of circumstances, and the only thing stopping her from snapping at the seeker was the fact she knew it wouldn't do a bit of good. "Let's wrap this up, Decipio!" she called breathlessly over the rain, trying her hardest to sound more encouraging than irritated. It was cold and wet and she was sure getting flung about like a ragdoll didn't remotely help Evelynn's nerves, but Ana wasn't about to lose this game because of Evelynn being shaken up.
