Oh! You should um... check out... two places.
There's a donut place that I think has GF and DF stuff called Duck Donuts.
It's so delicious.
They make their donuts baked not fried and don't even have yeast in them.

They are also made fresh when you order!

Also there's this crepe place that is simply DELICIOUS. To die for. They are GF and possibly DF too.
But the crepe place is not in NYC and neither is Duck Donuts.
