What do you mean by a 'game guide'?Susan Arrington wrote: 12 Nov 2021, 21:30Thank you too Lucia.Lucia Fox wrote: 12 Nov 2021, 08:06 Like Pei said, you can put up OOC fliers in the Leaky Cauldron and say you also put them up ICly throughout the school. If you wanted, you could also write a solo post in Grounds, or the Great Hall, with your character writing and pinning up the fliers, and include a link to your club at the bottom![]()
Now, there's another question I have.
Which forum section is suggested to post a game Guide? May be the games room? Is a guide, OOC to speak about it not a roleplay thread nor gameplay thread.
If you mean as in the mechanics and rules for your chess game, I'd put that in your club thread once you make it, or make another thread within Clans and Clubs called something along the lines of Chess Guide [chess club] [announcements thread].

Thank you!!!Juniper Kelly wrote: 12 Nov 2021, 00:09 No, there isn't. The sorting hat is never wrong, if it's not what your character expected, you can use this for further development! How does she take this? Will she tell her parents? Will they be upset? It's all up to you!

FAQ — Questions
Heya! Quick question re: solo threads. Should I plan on having mine be one long post, or should I break it up into a few 200-400 word ones instead? Just wanted to check to see if there's a word/character limit I'll need to keep an eye on.
FAQ — Questions
That is a matter of personal preference. You can keep one long post, or you can break it up into smaller ones. So it's up to you. Just make sure all posts reach at least 200 words.
Before me, you rightly tremble. But, fear is not what you owe me. You owe me awe....

Oh for sure! I think the shortest one clocks in around 300 words. Good to know that I've got options. Thanks for the super fast answer!Xailah Alptraum wrote: 4 Dec 2021, 19:28 That is a matter of personal preference. You can keep one long post, or you can break it up into smaller ones. FAQ — Questions
Hi! I was wondering if there's a penalty or punishment for not completing errands. I signed up for the CYUT errand a while ago and a short time after the errand began my OOC life kinda got hectic. At the moment I'm incapable of replying to any threads until maybe the end of December due to circumstances I am unfortunately unable to control. I do plan on returning to the site but not before the errand ends. Is this punishable in any way other than not receiving the reward?

I know that you can't be punished for that. We all get busy.
But in terms of losing your errand reward, that would be all you'd lose

Hope all is well and maybe we can write together when you return!

FAQ — Questions
There is no punishment other than the one you've realised - not fulfilling the WC requirement means no reward. It's much preferred, though, to inform the staff responsible for the errand to keep them informed and to enable them inform your fellow errand participants if necessary. Doing so shows that you're responsible and considerate.Valerie Laurier wrote: 13 Dec 2021, 03:21Hi! I was wondering if there's a penalty or punishment for not completing errands. FAQ — Questions
Pretty much the aforementioned. We are not here to punish people for having lives but communication is key because others may be waiting or depending on you for something, so letting them know as soon as you are aware that you are not able to fulfill your part indicates to them any changes that they might need to make. And yes, as Nigel said -- shows consideration for others.
