Ilvermorny NPC
Name:Stephen Nordstrom Schwartz
DOB: 07.20.2010
School: Ilvermorny
Year: 1st year - Wampus
Status: Muggleborn
Appearance: Stephen is a fair complected, brown haired, blue-eyed male. He has an athletic build and stands 5'2", tall for his age. His likeness can be seen here.
Personality:
Stephen is a very affable fellow. He is quick to laugh and smile and has a great sense of humor, but he has a very serious side. He drills down hard on his academic and athletic life, sometimes to the point of excluding much of everything else. He is also a neat freak; the kind of neat freak that would make Felix Unger proud. He has been a bit broody and resentful ever since he learned he was he was going to have to leave his school and friends in his hometown of Moraga, California to attend Ilvermorny School of Withcraft & Wizardry. His father insisted this was an opportunity his son could not pass by, but it essentially meant the death of his dream since he was four years old to be an astronaut and to attend the United States Air Force Academy. Having had his life uprooted, and having being forced to move clear across the country to learn about “magic” still strikes Stephen as absurd. He will grudgingly admit that magic can do some marvelous things, but he is a science nerd at heart. He silently notes that there have been no wizards to step foot on the moon, or beyond, only Muggles, and it leaves him feeling like he has been placed in a “lesser” academic institution and is now destined for a caricature of the life he had envisioned for himself.
History:
Stephen Nordstrom Schwartz was born on July 20, 2010. It was an auspicious day for his birth, as it turns out, as it was the 41st anniversary of mankind’s first steps on the moon. His imagination was ignited by this link to one of mankind’s greatest scientific achievements when his attention was drawn to documentaries of the space landing on television during his 4th birthday. In fact, he walked away altogether from the party his father had planned, or rather, had hired someone to plan, when his best friend’s father had slipped into the den to watch the retrospectives of the day. It turns out that his best friend’s father was himself an astronaut, so a mentor/friendship would develop through the years. Stories would be told. Connections would be made. Dreams would be encouraged… and later dashed. And resentments would build.
July 20, 2010 carried a lot of additional weight in Stephen’s life. It was also a sad day as his mother, Camille Renee Schwartz (nee Nordstrom), an heir to the Nordstrom department store fortune, died in childbirth. Stephen’s father, David Isaiah Schwartz, is a real estate mogul who, by all accounts, shut himself down after his wife’s death. He loves his son and he never blamed him for his wife’s death, but theirs is more a cold prickly relationship than a warm fuzzy one. He knows he would die for Stephen if it were ever necessary to do so, but he never learned, nor tried really, to live for his son.
Alone for a great deal of time, Stephen occupied himself with sports and his academics. He excelled at both. He is a phenomenal basketball player for his age, and was his team’s top scoring forward, his height serving him well in this area, even though he was almost two years younger than the other boys on his team. He loved school, especially mathematics and science, and would often find himself asking for additional and more complicated math and science homework from his teachers on weekends, holidays, and over school breaks.
He likes to be called Stephen. Not Steve. Definitely not Stevie. Since his middle name is Nordstrom, his best friend, Michael, bastardized it a bit and calls his genius friend “Nerdie”. Stephen hates that as well, or so he claimed, but Michael would not relent and so the nickname stuck. Michael was not at Ilvermorny to call Stephen “Nerdie” in front of anyone, yet that is how he is somehow known within the walls of Ilvermorny atop an invisible mountain in Massachusetts.
His first unintended instance of magic occurred when he was nine years old. He was in his school cafeteria one day and while eating lunch with his friends as he normally did, he laughed and unexpectedly inhaled part of a chicken nugget, blocking his airway. His best friend, Michael, barked at the other boys to go get help while he proceeded to try to do the Heimlich maneuver on Stephen. His three attempts were unsuccessful, but finally a 5th grade teacher intervened and was able to dislodge the nugget. The teacher then escorted Stephen to the nurse's office to make certain everything was fine, but before he left the table, Stephen grabbed the solitary, half pint milk carton to drink along the way. To his amazement, and following slightly behind the teacher, the little carton seemed never to empty of milk, no matter how much he drank from it. He tried drinking from it again after his visit with the nurse, but at that point it was just an empty carton.

PENDING - March 18 - 12 year old boys on average are around 4'11. Having him be 5'6" is incredibly tall and he will tower over his peers. I suggest editing this.
Your character's first instance of magic is too purposeful in nature. First instances of magic should be entirely unintentional. Thinking of having something happen, then magically having it happen is a little too purposeful. A more appropriate idea would be to have him be upset by the star arrangement, and they all fall to the floor instead. Something less precise, more random. Other ideas are having a hat set on fire when angry, or randomly sneezing bubbles. Please edit his first magic accordingly.

Ilvermorny NPC
─✿✿✿─
-------------------
Name: Elowen Fernsby
School: Ilvermorny
House: Pukwudgie
Year: 1st
Status: Muggleborn
-------------------
─✿✿✿─
─✿✿✿─
Appearance:
People actually consider El as a pretty good-looking boy, some even consider him very cute, especially a lot of girls his age. In all reality, He actually looks pretty average, he has an average height for his age, and maybe just a slightly above-average face. But what made him charming is the way he present himself. Being a huge theatre nerd, made him dressed a little more flamboyantly compare to anyone else. So his outfit and his looks usually are the ones that speak the loudest. He loves wearing clothes that are a little over the top and painted with bright colors, and he also loves outfits that are considered more feminine and ...um? a little extra? being a little out there wouldn't hurt anyone, does it?
The feature that he is most proud of is his hair, he has long wavy dark hair that looks really fluffy and seems to flow freely in his face. He also has dark hazel eyes and a smile that simply can make anybody's day better. The soft features of his face made him look less masculine compared to the other boys. But then it might have been the reason for his popularity amongst the girls and also the boys his age.
─✿✿✿─
Personality:
A lot of people have mentioned that he is just a classic theatre nerd. But that is not entirely true! Yes, he might have a dream to work in broadway someday, and yes he might be singing songs from musicals a little too much, ...also yes he might be bringing his ukulele everywhere he goes- BUT! there is so much more to him than that. He is also a plant-loving, wholesome guy who loves to help other people and make people happy, welp- not most times, but he tried. He is also always there when his friends or families needed him most. He is just a very kind, charming, easy-to-get-along type of guy.
Although he is quite popular, there are also people that find him really annoying. Well, the excessive singing might be part of the reason for that. But he really didn't care, he just love spending time with the people that he really cares about and making them have a joyous time. And talking about popularity, that is his secret superpower. He looooves performing and cheering and helping people on the streets, to the point that he probably already knows everyone from the town at this point.
─✿✿✿─
History:
People always looked at the Fernsby family as the perfect family. Two parents who really love each other and 2 children who also get along really well. There never SEEMS to be any problem in their family. However, The Fernsby is far from a perfect family, the first thing is being penniless in New York, with just a little money to barely make it every day, working their hardest to earn end's meat, second, is where their parents were emotionally unstable and would fight all. the. time. And that is just two of the problem. So growing up as a Fernsby is tough for young El. Being poor, and living in the smallest down-and-out neighborhood of Scarsdale, while having a big dream of becoming an actor, seems impossible for him. Even so, El never gives up on his dream. He always believe he can make it someday, working the hardest towards it, even though his parents never supported him.
His parents, Alan, and Irene Fernsby never sees the appeal of El's dreams. They always pressuring him to study and work the hardest so he can make his family proud. But El never listened to them, and always tried to escape his parent's controls and be with his friends. On the other hand, his sister was the perfect golden child, the complete total opposite of El. Rose aka. Rosemary Fernsby is the smartest brightest child in her school, she is 2 years older than El and definitely looks like she going to have a bright future ahead of her. Even so, El and Rose always have a great relationship, in fact, she is the only person who supported his dreams the most. Even El sometimes thinks that all the hard work she has been doing is so that he could pursue his dream instead of her. So El always loves her sister most, and always tries to protect her to the best of his ability.
While constantly being a disappointment to his parents, El was considerably very popular amongst the neighborhood. This is all because of his charming personality and constantly helping the people all around. He even sometimes has a mini-concert in the streets and parks, making him more popular amongst the neighborhood. And that is the reason he is barely at home. Walking around the town and playing music might not sound the most thrilling to his parents. So it is pretty common for him for getting into a shouting match with his dad or simply being called worthless by his mom once in a while. But he thought it was worth it. He rather goes through that, rather than be shackled by his parent's authority.
The news of him being a wizard was.... shocking, incredibly shocking. He always knew he is something special, but never to the point of actually being able to conjure magic 'special'. He did notice small odd things that have happened to him when he was younger. Like how he was able to magically fix a broken lamp that his sister accidentally broke, or how he was able to mend his clothes just simply by touching it. But he just thought he was really good at fixing things. SO this news is definitely come to shock everyone. El's parents being a realist did not believe it at first and just laugh it out, until they sees it themselves. Being freaked out by the experience, and also probably by the sheer fear of the fact that their child is a wizard, decide to allow El to join the school of magic, Ilvermorny. Although Rose didn't seem to look quite thrilled about it.

ReducioCharm. He was always confused when people use that word to compliment him. He never made an effort to be charming. He is just simply being him and going along with his days like everybody else. But people seem to see think differently. Even though he does have an agreeable look, looks are not the only thing that makes him very popular.
Take Mrs. Takahashi's story for example. El loves going to walk past the 13th street to greet Mrs. Takahashi every morning, at exactly 7 am. Nobody knows why or even notices it other than herself. It is a simple action, but there is a reason why she always goes out to her doorstep every morning. It is because ever since Mrs. Takahashi loses her husband, she has become incredibly lonely. So she wakes up every morning at exactly 7 am to say goodbye to her husband, like she usually does every morning before her husband had passed, where she is saying goodbye to him when he is about to go to work. Nobody notices her, not even her children, but Elowen did. And he never realized how much she really appreciate that little conversation they have every morning at 7 am.
Another example was taken by someone who lives close by El. He is his neighbor. A young man named Noah. Noah was a shy kid. Really really shy. He always had dealt with anxiety growing up, so standing up for himself was almost nearly impossible. It happened during a random Tuesday when several older kids came up to him. Noah was really nervous so they laugh at him, and of course, tried to take the little money he have for lunch. And then, he came out of nowhere. It was Elowen alone, who tried to defend him when nobody even would bat an eye. El took a few beatings from the older kids, but somehow he still smile after that and gave the money back to Noah. Because of that incident, Noah always admired El, even though he is always too shy to say it in person.
So what it is that made him charming? that is such a cringe word, isn't it? 'Charm'? he hates describing himself like that. But there is something about him that makes people like to be around him. He might never realize the reason, but the people around him know, the aura that he brings, the constant kindness and heart he gave out to the community. That is what makes him, Elowen.

Name: Mildred "Millie" Jackson
School: Ilvermorny
Year: First Year
House: Horned Serpent
Status: Pureblood●○●○●○●○●Appearance: Mildred stands at 5'1" with light brown, caramel-like skin, and dark brown eyes. She has long, light honey-brown hair that reaches her upper back. Her face is oval-shaped and she has checks that have a light blush to them.OOOOOOOOOOOOOO ●○●○●○●○●Personality: Mildred's a kind of nerd of sorts, she's very intelligent and responsible at times, but can be pretty relaxed and chill at others. She's a naturally born leader, somewhat quiet, and keeps to herself, but that's what cool about her overall. If she tries, she can easily make friends, though she is a bit of an introvert.
History: Mildred never really knew her mother. All she knew was that she passed away a few months after giving birth to her and that he meant everything to her father. This wasn't enough for Mildred, so she pestered her father with questions and questions, wanting to know about someone she would never get to meet. And being the good father he was, he told her everything he could, and Mildred was comfortable with that. She could live with the memories of her mother and her loving father.
But then the woman came. She was nice to Mildred at first, always taking her out to buy ice cream, making her delicious pancakes in the morning, and buying her nice clothes. But Mildred knew something was off about her, and her guess was correct.
After her stepmother married her father, she brought in her three sons, who were all older than Mildred. At first, it was non-obvious signs, When Mildred would tell her father about a game she had won, her stepmother would roll her eyes and mumble under her breath. If her stepbrothers won a basketball game, her stepmother would get only the three of them ice cream, then turn to Mildred and say that she simply "forgot about her".
Then it got worse. Her stepmother would constantly show off her stepbrothers to her, telling her that she should be as smart as them and that she should do better in school. Mildred took this message and applied it, soon becoming one of the best students in her elementary school and gaining respect and love from all of her teachers.
This, of course, made her stepmother angry, her children were supposed to get all the attention and praise, and the stupid girl was getting it instead. So she went to Mildred's father and complained about how rude and unfair Mildred was being to the three boys.
Mr. Jackson was quite upset with Mildred's behavior and asked her to tell her why she was acting this way. As Mildred tried to explain her reasons to her father, Her stepmother spat out more and more lies about her stepdaughter's behavior and then decided to utter the most disgusting lie possible. That Mildred had tried to attack the poor woman and her three sons at night. To get rid of them and live alone with her father.
When she said that, Mr. Jackson became very conflicted. He had to choose between his daughter, who was the only thing left from his past relationship with his deceased love, or to listen to his current angry wife, and to him, everything she said seemed to be true. So he decided to give Mildred to her grandparents and to never speak to her again.
Mildred's first instance of magic occurred while she was living with her grandparents in New York. It was a chilly day out and autumn had just begun, so there were a lot of dead leaves lying around in piles. She was sitting near one of those piles when she felt a strong tickling sensation in her nose. Without controlling it, Mildred sneezed directly at the pile, and as she did, the leaves flew away as if it had been shot with a bullet of wind.

ReducioMildred's excellent work in school wasn't the only thing that the teachers liked about her. She seemed to have a sort of calming presence that would bring her educator's moods up. If the counselor had been dealing with a misbehaving kid earlier in the day and was stressed out, just simply talking or waving to Mildred would make their day a whole lot better. If you were to just look at her, you would feel a sense of relief and peace wash over you, as if everything was going to be okay just by standing by her.
When Mildred moved in with her grandparents, they started taking note of the odd ways people reacted around her, and the way their friends would comment on her; How they would say that they liked her polite and responsible nature and that she had a soft, calming smile. Mildred's grandparents, though, knew that her deceased mother had this calming ability as well, and she inherited it from her.
It wasn't until Mildred arrived at Ilvermorny that she noticed the sort of reaction her peers had when she would just talk or interact with them in any way. If she approached a student in her class with a frown, they would instantly seem at ease by just glancing at her. If she passed a couple having an argument, they would instantly calm down and instantly start apologizing to each other. This, of course, surprised her, and she sent an owl to her grandparents right away asking them what to do with this newly discovered ability. The letter she received back told her to simply use it to help others around her.
Mildred listened to their advice and decided to make some changes to her normal school schedule. She would choose the leader role in any group project, so if any member of her team doubted themselves or was stressed out, she would comfort them with encouraging words and speeches. Mildred soon became comfortable in the leadership role and was glad to help any of her peers out if they ever needed it. The idea of calming people down and helping them with schoolwork seemed fun to Mildred, it gave her a sense of honor and pride knowing that she could be known not just as a nerd, but as a nice, cool, and wickedly smart person, rather than just being ignored most of the time.

Ability: Perfectionist
Abilities: Applying for Perfectionist
Stephen has always excelled at the things he is most interested in doing, and from a very young age, he has had grand dreams. He has been obsessed since the age of four with the desire to be an astronaut. The idea of being part of an extraordinarily elite few who may one day be rocketed into space to colonize Mars was the epitome of his grandest dreams. And from a young age, mentored and guided by his best friend's astronaut father, Stephen had learned to control impulses and focus his energies where he felt they would do him the most good in order to achieve his dreams.
He spent endless hours practicing advanced mathematical problems and honing his skills on the basketball court. He was early for practice and generally last to leave. He always looked for opportunities to expand his knowledge and then apply it. When he learned about the combustion engine and how it worked, he could not rest until he had taken his mother's engine apart and put it all back together. He was a doer. He was a thinker. He was an adventurer. And because he realized the dangers of what his dreams could ultimately lead to, Stephen endeavored to obliterate every variable, under his control, that would lead to anything less than a perfect outcome. A mistake, even a small one, could lead to death, and that was just unacceptable.
When he felt like his world had been tossed upside down and his dreams had been tossed aside as if they were nothing, he was initially angry and resentful when entering Ilvermorny. He did not want to be a wizard. He wanted to be an astronaut. Then he got to Ilvermorny and his resentment did not leave for a few months, but he could not help developing interests in Transfiguration, Astronomy, and Broom Racing. He had to admit, there was nothing like the thrill of zipping and zooming through the air at fantastic speeds and dizzying heights on a broom. Recognizing this may be as close to being an astronaut he may ever get, Stephen threw himself into his studies and practices. It was all paying off as his grades were consistently nothing but 'O's.
He had even heard of something called Apparating which made him wonder if that could ever be possible to places beyond the bounds of this big blue marble. All research on the subject had led him to a definitive 'no', but Stephen believed no breakthroughs could ever be made and progress in everything, even magic, could be stalled and stagnate without visionaries. Until he learned differently, his goal was to see such a possibility become reality, and he would endeavor to prepare both his body and his mind in the pursuit of answers and practical advancements on this, and many other subjects.

Jamie grew up in the bustling, quirky, city of Portland, Oregon. His parents(two moms) are Lorelei Greenspan and Dylan Ziegler. He has a fraternal twin sister named Melody. Jamie had a relatively normal and happy childhood, despite the usual cuts and scrapes of an energetic young boy.
Among all the sushi burritos and hipster coffee, he found his place at the local skate park, from a young age. Most of his pre-magical days were spent practicing half pipes, ollies, and other tricks;author is not familiar with skateboarding just a boy and his board. Not to say Jamie had no friends. In fact, he was really popular at school. He cemented himself as the class clown pretty early on, a role that would continue into his years at Ilvermorny.
Jamie showed no signs of being a wizard until he was about nine years old. He fell while trying to do a grind down a massive stairway, and busted his knee and jaw wide open. Mel ran to get their mom, and Jamie bawled his eyes out, wishing the pain would go away. And just like that, it did. His wounds magically sealed themselves up. As he cautiously wiped the blood away, he saw that the skin had already smoothed over.
A worried Lorelei came running up to inspect her son, but she pulled away in confusion. She sighed and scolded the two for making things up again, but Jamie and his sister exchanged knowing glances. Something was definitely afoot. They discussed it late into the night, but neither could come up with an explanation.
What followed was several more attempts to recreate the strange event–which resulted in Jamie earning plenty of scars. They eventually gave up and spoke nothing of what happened, until Mel showed signs of magic too. Flabbergasted, the Zieglers had no choice but to search for answers as to why their children had seemingly gained superpowers. And then, the letters from Ilvermorny arrived.

Despite his apparent stupidity, Jamie is pretty adept when it comes to his observational prowess. You know when you absolutely cannot find the ketchup in the fridge, even after searching it ten times? And then your mom finds it in like negative two seconds? That's Jamie. He brags that he could pick a needle out of a haystack. He actually can’t, but he's always the first one to find odd pieces of jewelry, socks, or glasses that the rest of his family loses around the house. We could go on and on with other such examples: Where's Waldo, escape rooms, hidden object games. The kid's freakishly good! He's also kind of addicted to Mystery Society 2, so there's that for you.
As to why he's so good at spotting things, it's probably because Jamie is always full of energy. There were often times where his parents left him and his sister alone in a waiting room, or at the mall while they ran errands. Mel kindly told him his constant fidgeting was annoying, so Jamie had to find a way to channel it elsewhere. And in one such waiting room, there was a stack of Where's Waldo books on the table next to him. He'll also do this when he's bored, and play a game of I Spy with himself, as well as a bit of people watching thrown in for some flavor. It's actually helped to reduce his hyperactive tendencies, much to the relief of his teachers in school. Perhaps it balances out--he can be very hyper one minute, then super focused on something the next.
When Jamie finally got to Ilvermorny, one of the things that he was immediately drawn to was quidditch. Granted, quidditch is not as popular in the US as it is in other parts of the world, but that didn't stop Jamie from attending every single school game. He's mesmerized by how the players weave through the air, and how the crowd goes wild at every move. It was this passion and fascination that eventually drove him to join his house team. But as he stood in the stands one day, he decided to shift focus from the chasers, his favorite position, to the seeker. He put himself in their shoes, so to speak, and he suddenly had an idea: Could he find the snitch faster than they could? He shared his plan with his friends, and the group immediately began scanning the field for the tiny golden ball. While his buddies were still squinting in frustration, Jamie found it just five seconds before the seeker did. Everyone was dumbfounded-- "Dude, that was amazing! How did you do it?"
Jamie grinned proudly. "If I told you, then I'd have to kill you..."

The pressure to be the best was real in the pureblood household of the Zuhiers. Hadrian was expected to excel in most things, regardless of the approach to achieving so. Only when he did, would he gain the lavish gifts from his parents. As long as he pleased, he could have everything he wanted. If not, he would have to face much scorn from them. And so, Hadrian succeeded and surpassed every sky-high expectation set for him. Whether it was academics or reputation, he outdone himself in every expect.
It was the way he was trained. Built and developed. Eventually, even when he was not under his parents' radar, he would beat himself mentally when he had any slip-ups. His mind became his own enemy. Yet it pushed him, forced him to improve in every aspect. Hadrian was one who was quick to learn. Accuracy was a hard skill to learn. Hadrian realised from the start of school that this was a skill he quite lacked. It was frustrating to watch his spells miss, and the goals unscored. Having an eye naturally dominant over the other, accuracy was not his strong suit. Muggle optical could have easily solved it perhaps, but Hadrian himself pushed himself to find a solution.
And so he did. Weakness was not acceptable, not in the Zuhier household. He trained hard, jumping at any chance to duel, which at times got him in some trouble. (Nothing he could not handle with prefect privileges then) He was also a chaser in his second year, a skill that allowed him to constantly work on his accuracy. The training paid off, although he is certainly unable to hit the bulleye on the dartboard 100% of the time, he is was rather accurate in other things.
The strength of his arm could be considered a credit to his accuracy. Of course, aside from exceptional defenders of the goal, the quaffle passed through the hoop most of the times. His parents had high expectations of him. Any Zuheirs were adept in the arcane. The prestigious family had a long history of Aurors, this reputation Hadrian would have to live up to. In school, Hadrian did all he could to improve his spell casting and accuracy, not that he was in any way weak in the first place. In only his first year he had joined the dueling team and winning duels after duels. He sought for additional advice from professors.
Eventually he improved. He had to.ReducioFEARLESS - approved
Hadrian was never always fearless. As a young boy, he had been afraid of many things, even the dark and the shadows scared him to his parent’s chagrin. His parents, the Zuheirs wanted him to be a perfect child so that he might succeed them in the future. He had to possess strong traits to command those around him. Fear, it was a trait that weakened the young Zuheir. With that amount of fear, he was not cut out for the role. Despite only being a boy, his father was determined to make a man out of him. Whatever it took, even if his childhood was stripped away from him.
To say the least, his father was not a very patient man, at least not in the eyes of the young Zuheir. Present, his father certainly succeeded but if there was one thing Hadrian now feared, it was his father. The intimidation the man possesses is powerful and Hadrian wishes to follow his footsteps in order to possibly become a man as significant as his own father one day.
His father went to great deals to remove the stubborn fear in the child. For such a feat, his father allocated a room, where Hadrian were to face his fears every week. The room waas down in the cold basements of the Zuheir manor. The boy dreaded being in the room, it brought nothing but bad terrible memories. “It is for the best,” he always told Hadrian. At five years of age, Hadrian was locked in the room and only allowed out once he stopped weeping and acknowledged that darkness could never hurt him. Once, he was only allowed out when he had slaughted an acromantula half his size with a dagger. At first, the boy had been afraid to go near the eight legged creature but soon, after avoiding the large spider for hours, he had gotten both tired and hungry. And so his own survival instincts kicked in and he slayed the creature and he was hten allowed out.
For two years, the room had been used to shape Hadrian and make him stronger. The times he visited the room got lesser as Hadrian became less fearful. Soon, Hadrian nothing could spook the teen. At 10 years old, he was as close to a fearless person as he could be.Reducio's Grace - approved
Hadrian lived an extremely privileged childhood in the Zuheir Manor. Without so much as a request, the boy was provided with everything he wanted, needed and required. As the oldest child and her father’s successor, Hadrian was free to do anything he pleased. That was until he enrolled into school. To be frank, Hadrian never liked a majority of his first year in school. His former lifestyle was suddenly stripped away. It did not matter if he held his father’s last name, he had little to no authority in the halls of Ilvermorny, at least not in the beginning.
At school were rules limiting the boy from achieving things in what he saw was necessary, teaching the pudwedgie kid who called him out for a foul move during the quidditch game for example. Throughout the year, Hadrian caused but had never got into trouble. He had learnt how to manoeuvre around the hallways swiftly, crouching low under the concealment of shadows lingering in the corner as those with authority neared, slinking silently near the walls to avoid the weary patrolling prefects after curfew.
Hadrian further honed his skill when he was given the role as a prefect in his second year. Boy, did he enjoy the authority that came with it. Simply, catch the shenanigans and make them do your dirty work. Hadrian delivered countless detentions. With such grace, the student never saw him coming and never got the chance to conceal whatever they were doing in the first place.
Even after the school year ended, Hadrian stepped down as a prefect, despite the authority it gave him he had already established his presence in the school. He still continued utilising this skill, this time for a cause more significant. Despite Hadrian’s father currently the head of the Zuhier household and wealth, to his own direct family, had an older cousin and was entitled to inherit the Zuheir wealth. It was simply how the Zuheir tradition was, there was nothing much Hadrian or his parents could do. But ambitious he was to shove his own cousin out of this line and reign as the Zuheir successor. On one summer, his aunt and aunties came to stay in his family’s manor. Determine the young Zuheir was to find a flaw in Sharic, he began slinking into the young man’s shadows and watching him wherever and whenever he could. He moved with such grace, silence and skill.
His efforts were not futile. Very soon he found a flaw. Sharic had been using the floo to travel to England very frequently that it seemed suspicious to the young boy. Unbeknownst to Sharic, he had been followed by his younger cousin. Hadrian soon discovered that Sharic had been seeing someone. A secret sweetheart, one of impure blood. Not only that, Sharic had a betrothed. Hadrian did not hesitate to rat his findings to the rest of his family who were outraged by the news. It was not long before Sharic was disowned, his last name striped from him and Hadrian then became the Heir to the Zuheir wealth. ReducioReducioReducio

[reducio]STATISTICALLY RELEVANT
He had to.[/reducio][reducio]FEARLESS - approved
At 10 years old, he was as close to a fearless person as he could be.[/reducio][reducio] Cat's Grace - approved
It was not long before Sharic was disowned, his last name striped from him and Hadrian then became the Heir to the Zuheir wealth.[/reducio]

Ilvermorny NPC
Name: Dia Martin (Actually Martín, but she usually leaves off the accent)
School: Ilvermorny
Year: First
Status: Pureblood
Appearance:

Dia has light brown skin, mischievous dark brown eyes, and long black hair. She's a little tall for her age, with a slim, athletic build. Her clothing style is cute, but comfy and colorful.
Personality: Perky and energetic, friendly and talkative. She's not the popular type, but she makes friends easily. Staying true to herself is a big deal for her. She does like to pull the occasional prank or other shananigans, but the second it looks like someone could possibly get hurt, she'll back out.
She's also the type that would never turn down a dare, and will protect her friends with everything she has.
History:
Dia is hispanic by birth, but she was adopted by a young white couple when she was about 3, so she doesn't really consider herself hispanic or white. She's just Dia. She doesn't know much about her birth parents beyond the fact that they were both magical and from Puerto Rico.
Her adoptive (although she doesn't think of them that way) parents, Willa and Carter Johnson, are also magical. Her mother runs an owl-order potion service and her father works for wizarding bookstore.
Dia's upbringing has been fairly loose. She was given pretty much as much freedom as she could be trusted to handle and encouraged to be independent.
When she was 8, she decided she wanted to learn more about her birth family. Her parents were very supportive, but a little reluctant, worried she might find something upsetting. In the end, they didn't find much. She did learn that they were magical and that her last name was Martín, though, which she decided to keep. She often drops the accent for simplicity.
Her first instance of magic came 6 months afterward. She and her parents went hiking, and Dia got distracted by a butterfly and ended up separated from them. Alone and scared, she sent a ball of light above the trees that helped her parents find her.
She's also nearly fluent in Spanish.

Ilvermorny NPC
Name: Emily Wright
School: Ilvermorny
Year: 3rd Year
Status: Muggle-Born
Appearance:
FC: Katherine Langford
Emily has long, wavy, brown hair, which she wears either down or in a bun. She has blue eyes and pale skin. She is on the shorter side, measuring in at 5’5”.
Personality:
Emily is extremely shy. She’s the type of person to prefer curling up in her bed with a good book on a Friday night rather than spending time out with friends. It may take a while for her to warm up to you, but if you’re lucky enough to break past her shyness, you’ll find a sweet, kind girl who will do anything for those she cares about. Emily is also very particular about her studies and is a bit of a perfectionist.
History:
Emily was born to James and Alice Wright on February 21st, 2008. She has one younger sister, Sophie, who was born in 2010. Growing up, Emily was always very quiet and reserved, even around her family. Ever since she learned how she would always have a book in her hand, often reading in a corner instead of playing with the other children. Her favorite book was Matilda by Roald Dahl. So imagine her shock when at five years old, a book she was struggling to reach on a high shelf floated down to her, just like her favorite character in her favorite book. Emily quickly called her parents over, but despite her repeated insistence that it did happen, her parents brushed it off as their daughter simply having an over-active imagination.
Emily tried to make other things float, but she just couldn’t seem to get it to happen again. Eventually, she began to believe that she was just imagining things. Until one day, on her eleventh birthday, someone knocked on her front door, explaining that she was a witch and that there was a whole magical world that existed. Upon arriving at Ilvermorny, Emily was chosen by the Horned Serpent carving. While at Ilvermorny, she has been mostly focused on her studies and learning all that she can about this brand new world that she has found herself in.

[reducio]Cyrus was the type of boy who was full of chaos; the type of boy who would answer the "if someone jumped off a cliff, would you?" as "absolutely". Cy would do anything to prove himself, and he began running around Manhattan at the young age of seven. His parents didn't care, and he feared nothing. The world didn't scare him, so he did as he pleased.
By the time his aunt and uncle became prominent figures in his life, Cyrus was used to doing things by himself. He made breakfast without fear of burning himself on the pan, although he needn't make lunch or dinner - his parents always ordered things for him. While the boy might have lived a moderately sheltered life - what child of businesspeople didn't? - he was lonely, and there was always a bundle of energy manifesting inside the child's heart, waiting to be set loose.
After ending school one day Cy came across a group of kids. They weren't usual schoolboys; he could see that from a single glance. Their beat-up leather jackets stood out in stark contrast to his school blazer, and the fact that some of them didn't wear shoes let Cyrus know he'd ventured into the "wrong area of town". They surrounded a much smaller boy, one that wasn't in Cyrus' year; no, he was quite a bit younger. This kid was maybe nine, if that.
Cy wasn't deterred; he wanted that child out of the situation. "Hey, idiots!" yelled the blond, only glancing down to make sure his duck-print shoelaces were tied. A brazen grin decorated his expression as he charged forward, imagining he was a knight in medieval times and that the other boy was a lass, or lad now that he thought about it, in distress. "Make way for the king!" he shouted, his words echoing around the alley.
Now, any other child would have noticed how stupid the plan was. With Cyrus, however, there really was no plan. He did things on impulse, having no fear of the consequences that might arise from his actions. Putting one foot in front of the other, he charged at the other kids, shoving one of them as hard as he could.
He wasn't quite strong enough to knock the kid over, but he got the group's attention away from the young'un and onto himself. "Get out of the way!" he whisper-yelled to the smaller boy, and he was pleased to see the other kid running out of the corner of his eye as he felt a blow land on his arm.
Cy hadn't been strong enough to fight off the kids, but it had been your average schoolboy fight - everyone got hurt, to some extent. When Cyrus returned home, a triumphant grin on his face, his aunt shot him a questioning glance as he flopped down on the couch, exhausted, and shouted "No Regrets!"
Because really, he had no regrets. The feel of adrenaline in his veins had been amazing, and he would do it again. Cy wasn't a wimp. In fact, one might call him fearless.[/reducio]
Year 2: Obnoxiously Strong
[reducio]Cyrus always possessed an unmistakable amount of energy. In fact, it was one of his defining traits. His feet would always tap the floor during his Muggle classes, and his hands would always be moving.
He couldn’t help it. He just had too much energy.
Since he didn’t have very many friends (he was simply an unapproachable lad sometimes. It may have been his parents; he didn’t know), he didn’t have people who would listen to his endless chatter about who knows what. His parents were always far too busy to listen to his ramblings, so he sat quietly and allowed his appendages to move as much as they liked.
After a particularly embarrassing visit to his aunt’s where he had shattered a glass while dancing as he put up the dishes, Aunt Teresa had shown him an advertisement for child memberships at a fitness centre down the street.
At first, Cyrus hadn’t been at all interested. He was perfectly fit, and he saw this… flyer... as an insult to his amazing physique.
After thinking about it for a while, though, he asked his parents - who he had still lived with at the time - to sign him up. They obliged relatively quickly, probably glad to have to worry about him less, and he began to take classes.
He started out with swimming classes, but those didn’t really stick - Cyrus was already fast, and swimming didn’t really challenge him that much. The private lessons his parents had invested in made that certain.
He then went on to both weight lifting and kickboxing. He was interested in learning how to fight, both because his parents said it was something he should never learn and also because he was reminded of his favourite movie characters whenever he thought of it. Weights, though? He wanted to build up his muscles so that any fighting he learned would have an effect on whoever he used it against - not that he would attack anyone, of course.
As the years passed, Cyrus began to develop muscles, real muscles. When he moved in with Aunt Teresa, he began to help around the house, and he easily surprised his aunt with how easily he could lift things. He got into fights more often, but usually to protect people [as mentioned in previous fearless app], and he changed from an annoying idiot who managed to irritate bullies away to someone who could actually fend them off. He didn’t even have to punch them; he would flex his bicep and watch with a goofy grin as the spindly bully ran away from whatever younger kid they were bothering.
Cyrus was strong, but he was never just strong. No, he was obnoxiously strong.[/reducio]
Year 3: Charmer
[reducio]Cyrus was always too much.
His parents sometimes thought it; he knew that. He didn’t mind, though. Often, he embraced it. After all, he was liked well enough, and ‘too much’ wasn’t always a bad thing.
He began to flaunt it - he would use his parents’ money to buy the most ridiculous things, such as his trademark duck-print garments or his designer jeans. He even bought a solid gold duck tie tack for his school uniform.
Things changed when he moved in with Aunt Teresa. She never thought he was too much, at least not openly.
This meant Cyrus needed to try harder. He wore the most flamboyant clothes; he cut his hair into a mullet. These things never fazed Aunt Teresa, but when he went to school with a green mullet and a clown nose that squeaked, no one could stop looking at him. He was eventually sent to the headmaster’s office because he was distracting students during a test.
He received a letter from Ilvermorny the following year.
The headmaster, Lazarus Plott, was a good example in Cyrus’s mind. A very extravagant man, his mannerisms encouraged Cyrus. Cyrus grew even more dramatic, into even more of a class clown, until he was certain everyone would notice him.
The thing was, Cyrus didn’t know when to stop. Not by a long shot.
He dumbed himself down sometimes, trying to make people gawk. It worked, sometimes. He adopted ducks as his trademark even more, wearing them no matter what. No one would be able to look at a duck without thinking of him, nor would they be able to look at him without thinking of ducks.
He never felt the need to explain himself to anyone, although to a certain Thea Knott, he did try. ‘Regal,’ he had said about ducks, ‘strong.’ He had said they reminded him of himself, but was that true?
It was as true as he had wanted it to be, he supposed, because then maybe he could be seen as regal. He was strong. Right?
Maybe some people - Aunt Teresa - saw him as those things: elegant, regal and strong. Some others most certainly didn’t - namely his parents - but he had long since trained himself not to care. What others thought didn’t matter as long as they were thinking about him, as long as they were noticing him, as long as he meant something.
Cyrus was a distraction, and that, for now, was enough for him.[/reducio]
Year 4: Impartial
[reducio]Cyrus’s Muggle teachers had always called him selfish, and for good reason. Cyrus simply didn’t care about others, or so it seemed. He was always flaunting his clothes, bragging about his wealth… Simply put, he seemed like a jerk.
Throughout the years, Cyrus had learned to only care about himself. He wasn’t necessarily self-centred - he was still polite to others, after all - but he never complimented others’ appearances, never smiled without reason. One might have called him cunning had they not known that he never really had a plan in mind, that his ‘calculated’ smiles were really just his following social cues.
Because Cyrus wanted himself to stand out, he tended not to notice when other people did, at least not unless they stood out more than he did, which was incredibly rare. Even the most brazen of people didn’t meet Cyrus’s standards. They had to be bold, flamboyant and witty, but they also had to possess a certain type of charm that wasn’t necessarily superficial in order to pique Cyrus’s interest - and even then, it was usually brief at best.
For example, the first person who had made Cyrus interested in them was none other than his Aunt Teresa. She was as unassuming as could be - petite, with lightly tanned skin and average features, but there was a certain kindness in her eyes that had interested him. Her nature was sweet, and she helped people without strings attached. Seeing a person so obviously good had interested Cyrus - she had not stood out. She was one with the crowd, but he was still interested in talking to her, in knowing more about her.
The only flamboyant person whose name Cyrus could easily remember was Headmaster Plott, AKA his role model. From afar, Cyrus watched in awe as the man made spectacles, and he hoped that one day he could do the same, that one day he would be powerful enough to. Once he surpassed Headmaster Plott’s abilities, something told him he would no longer feel the same level of awe. He was pretty sure, however, that he would remember Headmaster Plott’s name, and not just because it was a name he heard daily as he roamed the halls of Ilvermorny. No, a role model was someone special, someone to be remembered.
He often remembered no one else.
He did remember Thea Knott, but she, like his Aunt Teresa, did not stick out in a crowd. She was shy and quiet, and that intrigued him. He was not distracted by pretty girls or pretty boys; he did not often raise his eyebrows at amateur wannabes of class clownery. He did not care what they were doing because their attempts at flamboyance could never match his own.
He really was quite impartial to those sorts of things.[/reducio]
