"Elizabeth! Stop that before you get killed!" she shouted, seeing the boy trying to pull her friend away from the flames, "A silly little girl isn't going to be able to just smother it like that." perhaps it was, again, a bit of a harsh way to behave towards someone she considered a friend; but it wholly came from a place of caring and not wanting to see her friends hurt by impulsive, misguided ideas of helping.

When the boy finally came back around to her, Illowy quickly took the tablecloth from him. It was so fine and thin, that was clear simply with how the fabric felt between her fingers, however before she could say anything else the boy was sprinting away, "Wait! What're you-" there was no point finishing, he was practically gone for whatever it was that had sparked into his mind.

The girl looked between the cloth in her hands and the blaze, whining quietly to herself. The single cloth would never be long enough to even attempt to stretch over the entire length of multiple burning tables. They'd have to be broken up, and she dreaded that. All the same, she couldn't waste time as she wrapped the cloth around herself, trying to cover as much of herself as she could, not wanting to take the same Kamikaze action Elizabeth had been attempting.

Quickly, she started towards the tables once more, trying to break away at least one from the group to get a start on the impossible task. The whole while her heart pounded in her chest as she tried to work quickly and take as much heed of the fire as she could. Once she'd broken off one of the tables by a foot or two, she worked swiftly to tear holes in the bottom corners to hook onto the corners of the table. It would have to work like a fitted sheet, that would be the only way she'd have a chance in hell to do this on her own.

Ignoring the licks of flame, smoke burning her throat, and sparks that flared each time an item moved on the table, she pulled the sheet around before pulling it tightly down on the other side. Perhaps, for a moment, it seemed like at least that table might've been under control, but the white, silken fabric was blackening, bubbling... soon smoldering. The thin fabric couldn't hold on its own.

For a moment, sweaty, sore hands lost their grip on a corner of the tablecloth as flames lifted up, kissing at her arms and catching her sweater. Illowy jumped, releasing the cloth altogether and falling back onto the ground as she quickly whipped off the garment and tossing it away into the dirt.

That Gryffindor boy better come back here with something brilliant, she thought to herself. There wasn't time to worry about that though, she had to keep trying to keep the fire from reaching anything else.

I was told I was dangerous. When I asked why, they said, "Because you don't need anyone." That's when I smiled.

"Hey, what are you -!" Elizabeth croaked as she felt the hand of someone grab her arm. She yanked herself away, her thoughts still on the task at hand. She heard someone yell, but there was so much commotion around her, she barely registered what was said or by whom. Her thoughts were on one thing, and one thing alone - I must knock the table down!

Now, much of her momentum gone, Elizabeth took to putting all of her weight against the table and pushing as hard as she could. Her palms burned as they pressed against the table, and the first-year coughed again as she inhaled more smoke. It burned her throat and made her lungs scream for oxygen. She shut her eyes, which were burning from the smoke and the intense flames. Her thoughts lept back to the older students who were congregated at the party. What about the professors? Why weren't they helping? Why were they leaving this up to a bunch of first-years? Surely the flames would be obvious to them, even those on the dance floor. However, Elizabeth's thoughts quickly turned back to the task at hand. This was her last chance. She felt herself getting weaker. It wouldn't be long before she passed out.

Using her last bit of energy, she stepped back from the table and again proceeded to throw herself against the table once more, hoping that it would be just enough force to knock it over.

Raine continued to dance without a care, still observing the boys who had originally spiked the fountain of punch in the first place and, only to pause during one of her twirls to see that the boys were now shouting at each other and shoving each other. It soon evolved to the point where fists were flying and Raine was quite glad that she wasn't standing closer to those two idiots. Over the sound of the music, the young Gryffindor could hear the sound of armor clanging and looked over to the noise to see the Headmaster making his way over to the duo and breaking the boys apart. Raine shook her head, rolling her eyes as she did so.

"Who the hell fights in a public location with the Headmaster present? Idiots," the girl muttered as she twirled again. She laughed when she finished her spin as she saw how far she was from her friends, but she was closer to that giant kid and the girl he decided to dance with onlyafter she had a bit of tainted punch. She managed to hear the end bit of the boy's conversation with the girl.

"I heard that a lot of the guys were having a bonfire in the woods. Bit of butter beer. Some revelry. Not really my scene... but if I had any guess as to where he might be, that is where I would guess we would find him."
"That actually sounds like someplace he’d be.”
Raine wasn't sure what "bonfire" the boy was talking about. Maybe it was only for the older students, but something about what this boy had said had the young Gryffindor narrowing her eyes and goosebumbs appeared on her arms. And who was this "he" the girl spoke about?

'I don't think this kid is a good person. What if there aren't any other girls at this little side party? What if there wasn't any "bonfire" at all?' the girl thought to herself.

Without turning around so that she could keep an eye on the pair still swaying to the music, Raine moved backward to get closer to her little group again only to jump slightly as her hand was suddenly grabbed and she was twirled around to face an older student with golden eyes and brown hair. She seemed familiar and after squinting at the older girl again, Raine suddenly realized that she had seen the older girl in the Common Room throughout the year. The girl, whose name she couldn't place, was dancing with her now and she was saying something. She couldn't exactly make out what the older Gryffindor was saying as it seemed the other girl had started the conversation with her other two friends, but the girl's ending statment caught her attention.

"...and I think it is sssafe to assume that we both know that sssomething is off about this party, yesss?"
Raine watched with a raised brow as the golden-eyed girl twirled away from them but was still close enough to hold a conversation.
Any of you have some useful information? Perhapssss we can exchange what we know?"

Raine agreed that there was something definitely strange going on here at the party, but she wasn't sure if she had any decent information to pass on. Besides, she wasn't sure if there wasn't actually something wrong with the girl standing before her group. Didn't she just cut some boy? If the expletives I just heard a while ago are anything to go by, she definitely did.
“Secondly, that big boy’s name is Edwin. Heard of him? Considering his young face and the look of his friends, he shouldn’t be that much older than us, like only one or two years older. But his height and stature, though… He might not be entirely human. Half-giant perhaps. And the girl’s name is Rosie. Your turn.”
Arc responded to the girl's questions.

'Edwin and Rosie Turner, huh?' Raine mentally jotted the names down before she turned her attention back to the girl before them.

"Not sure if you know me from the Common Room, but I'm Raine Sage. I don't think I have any information about this party that you don't already know. The boys that the Headmaster is dressing down right now may have spiked the punch but I'm not one-hundred percent sure about that. What I do know, is that that giant kid over there with that girl on the dance floor," she pointed over the girl who Raine assumed was a second year and the older student she was dancing with, "waited until she took a drink from the punch before he approached her. I was just over there dancing a bit by them and I heard him tell her something about a "bonfire" somewhere in the woods," the young Gryffindor said, using air quotes to show her lack of belief in that boy's story.

Turning to Arc and Summer, and with a fire in her eyes, Raine went on to say, "I don't believe that kid's story one iota. What if it's a trap? There are other places he could take her, places where people could see them clearly, but he's choosing to take her into the woods? Where no one can see them? The only woods I know of is the Forbidden Forest. It's forbiddenfor a reason. What if he's going to hurt her?"

A fire had begun closeby and it was only growing larger as a group of students had run over to the area to try to help with the situation. At the moment, the fire was the last thing on Raine's mind. She had turned her attention back to the giant kid and the girl only a few feet away from the group. They were looking at the growing flames and Raine saw the girl move closer to the boy. She bit her lip.
'There has to be something I can do... I know that the girl is probably more than capable of taking care of herself...and she might not even be a damsel in distress, but I just have a really bad feeling about this' The young girl thought to herself.

Turning to her friends, she focused on Arc and took his hand in a grip that may have been a bit stronger than she intended. "Arc, if they start to move toward the woods or move to leave the dance, you have to spin me in that direction. Just spin me and I'll handle the rest. Please."

She felt oddly unsure, even in the presence of her best friend. Was it love? She looked at him, studying the lines of his face. He wasn’t exactly Dean. But, to be fair, there was hardly anything wrong with Adam. It wasn’t like she didn’t want to have a boyfriend. But, now she was just confused. Not just confused, but very confused. All her thoughts, thoughts she would never really share out loud, even if she had been burned alive again--they came bubbling up like wildfire. And she wanted to admit to Adam about the strangeness she felt. She wanted to talk to him about it. Surely he’d understand. Wouldn’t he? She felt a nagging tug at the back of her head, almost an encouragement to spin and dance, and yell about everything and anything that came to mind.

She chalked it up to nerves, and went along with her life, even if the tugging in the back of her head seemed to get worse and worse. She almost wanted to admit how angry she was at Adam for keeping secrets. It was obvious at times, from the way his eyes went distant and his posture slouched. And it tore her up on the inside. She wondered sometimes if she as perhaps too honest. If she had shared too much with him and he didn’t want to talk to her. Maybe they really weren’t best friends, and sometimes that hurt her so much that she found herself lying to her best friend. Not that it was really lying, it was just not explaining everything. That was fine, but it wasn’t exactly the best for friendship.

It wasn’t exactly like she wasn’t honest, but she felt the strange urge to be even more honest. All those weird thoughts, like the odd ones that sometimes occured when she questioned the future and stuff like Adam’s hair. Like, maybe it was time to tell him that she thought his hair was really...really...really..poofy. Like, come on! There had to be a way to make his hair less fluffy. Maybe brushing it?

She giggled to herself, clapping her hands over her mouth. Focus on dancing, right. Yeah. That was easy enough, really. But, things just felt a bit awkward. A bit strange. It hadn’t been like that with Max last year. But, then again-- they had known they were going on a date. And..she hadn’t wanted to get cooties last year. But, now that she knew cooties were fake

Was this just puberty coming early? Oh no. She was way too young for puberty. She was too short for this gross drama! Oh no, oh no. Was she about to break out in a sweat and grow big huge ugly face dots? Pimples, right. Yeah, those. She almost expected to see them on her face, as she tried to inconspicuously touch at her face.

She panicked upon finding rough patches of skin, but then remembered her burn marks. She relaxed again, temporarily. Her moods were going super fast too! Was that another sign of the capital P puberty? The deadliest disease to ever hit human. Fatality rate? 100%. Eris waited to suddenly turn into a teenage zombie, but the transformation never came. She still felt like..Eris! Not like some weird gross girl who wanted to do weird gross things.

Huh. Maybe she wasn’t going through the Puberty. That fact alone was enough to make her beam, which she did do. Balancing on the tips of her tippy toes, her hair glowed a bright shade of pink, alluding to the happiness coursing through her body. She wasn’t contaminated!

“You look like a niffler trying to breakdance!” She teased, swaying back and forth in place for a moment, before taking his hand and trying to spin him in a circle. Smiling, she opened her mouth to talk about hopefully dancing. “We should totally try and tango!”

She bounced on the balls of her feet, trying to peer upwards and see Cecily. However, due to her small stature and the large group of people that were crowded around, she couldn’t see the blonde haired Ravenclaw. They had never officially met, and Eris was eager to meet one of Adam’s friends, besides for herself. She’d heard much of Adam’s other friends and was almost overjoyed by the prospect of meeting them.

Edging upwards on the tips of her toes, she went to talk to Adam and then bit back a cry. A loud scream emitted from Eris’s throat, as she took a shaky step towards the fire starting. No, no, no. Visions of burning flashed throughout her mind, as she remembered being burnt alive. Already, some children seemed to be nearby, attempting to put out the fire.

She had came prepared for this. She had known such things would happen, but even so, she shook from head to toe. Trying to muster up the Gryffindor courage that was always wanted and needed in situations like this, Eris flipped her hair up into a ponytail and took a deep breath.

She could handle this. Even as images of fire and screams echoed in her mind, Eris grabbed her water bottle out of the bag by her waist and ran towards the fire. Holding her water bottle like something sacred, she ran towards the burning table and the students trying to put it out.

She elbowed aside the people doing nothing, letting out a yell. “THERE’S A BLOODY PUNCH BOWL, ARE YOU DAFT? USE THAT INSTEAD OF STANDING AROUND LIKE GITS.” Water put out fire. How stupid were the first years?

There was no time to say sorry for yelling, not when a fire was about to get worse and worse. The tiny girl was nervous enough to plunge herself into the tangled arrey of limbs and flame, trying eagerly to prevent the flames from getting worse. She had been burnt before, she could handle it again.

She began to pour the contents of her waterbottle on the roaring fire, praying it would do something.

Unlike Isaac, Dinara's temper didn't dissipate at the sight of the fire. On the contrary, the fire seemed to mirror the one growing inside her. How dare some stupid fire ruin the Blossom Ball! More importantly, how dare some stupid fire ruin the argument that Dinara was just about to win?

As illogical as her train of thought was, it proved to be enough motivation to kick her into action in an effort to stop the fire and finally have a chance to win the darn argument. Gesturing rudely at the boy who had already run off gallantly to find a solution (though likely ineffective) for the fire, she stood about watching the rest of the chaos unfold around her.

Had this been a muggle situation, Dinara would have run off to grab a fire extinguisher. Unfortunately, it seemed that there was a lack of extinguishers at Hogwarts; students had to resort to the old fashioned methods of 'beating the fire out' and even attempting to extinguish the raging fire with a pathetically small amount of water they carried in their water bottles.

It's not that Dinara was in any position to judge, she didn't exactly have any better plans either. It was until she heard someone or another yelling about the punch bowl that she realised it was right beside her. A small grin of satisfaction found it's way to her face as she picked it up. She was sure that she happened to be in the right place at the right time for a reason -- this was why she ended up at the Blossom Ball, it was her calling all along! The one, the only, heroic Dinara Lucey!

The little fanfare that played in her head didn't serve to help the situation much. Still, it didn't stop her from picking up as much punch as she could with the cups that were strewn about the grounds. However, she soon realised that for someone as small-sized as she, the amount of punch that she could gather in one trip wouldn't be much help at all.

So much for being 'heroic', Dinara.

Her embarrassment was clearly shown on her face, though she opted to channel it into yelling at people in hopes that they too would spring into action. Perhaps then they would have a better chance of putting out the fire which somehow seemed to be growing larger every second.

"Could you guys, like, HELP? HOW MUCH WATER DO YOU EXPECT THIS TINY PERSON TO BE ABLE TO LUG? MAYBE GET A PITCHER OR SOMETHING?!"

For once, her loud voice served to be of help rather than a nuisance. Gathering up what little cups she could hold, she struggled over to the fire with overflowing cups huddled in her arms, spilling a good amount all over herself before tossing what little punch she had left in the cup onto the fire after her waddle over the grounds.

"Okay, this whole-" Her head whipped around as a scream erupted from another redhead nearby. She had been dancing with a boy who appeared to be her age, and now.. well, obviously, she wasn't. Summer watched as the girl tied her hair up purposefully and marched towards the fire.

Right.

The fire.

Stupid, stupid Summer. Don't think about saving one girl when so many others are in danger. The blonde was ready to beat herself up about it until she saw the ginger with the ponytail pour the water on the fire. The water wasn't enough, but the girl had been brave enough to do it. Summoning the girl's fearlessness that had been inspired in her, she cleared her throat, and was prepared to stride over to the commotion, but the flames had leapt higher for a second there.

"Oh..." A chain of words would have followed that her grandparents would not been proud of her knowing, and she was ready to turn, but Summer instead sprinted after the others who were trying to put out the leaping flames. The smoke wasn't too bad now but it would only get worse, and a couple of first years like her could only hold it off for a while, but that's what they were gonna do.

She turned to give Xailah, Arc, and Raine a quick and shaky thumbs up before yelling for people to get away from the fire. That was what she could do for now. After all, with so many people working to put out the flames, some were just in shock, staring at the scene.

"LEAVE!" The petite blonde shouted in her most commanding voice. That didn't stop her from making stupid wisecracks, though. "Why didn't the Headmaster use his freaking spray bottle for this?"

"Could you guys, like, HELP? HOW MUCH WATER DO YOU EXPECT THIS TINY PERSON TO BE ABLE TO LUG? MAYBE GET A PITCHER OR SOMETHING?!"
Summer laughed, fighting away a grin at the girl's statement. "Solid plan!" She decided, her eyes darting around the dancefloor and the tables for anything that could serve as a vessel for what little punch remained. Her blue grey eyes landed on the tall, slender vases holding water.

((See the picture on the Headmaster's first post to understand what mean))

"Aight, bet," she muttered to herself, her American accent prominent especially when she was using typical slang that Europeans probably didn't incorporate into their regular speech.

She emptied three of the vases and rushed to the fountain, trying to catch as much liquid as possible. She yelled over to the others- the girl who had yelled, the redhead, a blonde, and another one with dark hair who she was sure was in her house- while waving around the glasses.

"We need one person to be some sort of runner to transport it, but I can get more vases to fill with punch. It'll be more organized if we make a line! I mean, we don't have to think about it just do it!" She wasn't even sure what nonsense she was muttering now, but she wiped her sweaty brow and held up the three vases full of punch.

Where is everyone getting this punch? I thought the punch bowl was already used by @Isaac Ambrose:
There had to be something he could do to put the fire out. Panic slammed into him, making his breath come quickly, but his expression was one of determination. Think, think, think! I don't know a water spell, and we're at the campgrounds. The Great Lake is at least a mile from here. Bloody hell, how did this even happen!?

Adrenaline kicked in, and he knew he'd have to improvise. All of his sense screamed for him to stop, but he ignored it. It was now or never. The first-year dashed closer to the fire, coughing through the clouds of smoke and gritty ash that seared his throat. With viper-like speed, he grabbed the punch bowl which hadn't been consumed by the fire yet, and threw it onto the flames. The multicolored liquid soared through the air, but only produced a hiss upon hitting the fire. It wasn't enough.

I think somewhere along the way, the punch bowl just got misinterpreted. It happens, lets just keep rolling with it! ^^

Interacting with @Eris Fawley, @Summer Hearst, and people nearby
As an older red head hurried over with the punch bowl refilled, Illowy watched from the ground as she splashed the useless concoction over the flames. The way the red head snapped at her fellow first years, it made a different fire spark in the Slytherin, "Oi! You think we didn't think of that in the first place? Clearly that didn't do much! Come up with something brighter, we're just trying to help!" she snapped back, picking herself up and trying to clap the dirt off her hands.

While another girl in her year snapped at the crowd, Illowy's attention next went to the blonde that she recognized from her own house. Granted, she didn't know the girl well, but what did that matter. Scurrying over, she took a couple of the vases from the her, "We're never going to be able to fill these fast enough to put it out. That stupid thing only runs fast enough to fill cups." she tried to shake some of her dark locks from her face, strands still staying plastered on her face from the sweat as she looked around them.

A previous idea came to her once more, "What if we soak the table cloths and maybe layer them up?" she asked. It seemed easier to her to consult someone from her own year and house then to even try to reason with the older Gryffindor that had just been screaming, "If they're saturated enough and we can get them over the fire, do you think it would be dense enough to smother it? I already tried with a dry one, and it didn't work..." she suggested.

Illowy was running out of ideas and fast. She was getting tired, her face was hot, her hands and arms stung and her chest ached from finding herself constantly in the smoke's path.

"Some Gryffindor boy said he had an idea, and then he just ran off like a frightened bunny and I have no clue were he went, but if those flames get any higher, they're going to catch the trees."

I was told I was dangerous. When I asked why, they said, "Because you don't need anyone." That's when I smiled.
