just to add a bit, most answers can be found in lessons, if not, search the internet. HP wiki for magical knowledges and wiki fandom for other questions.

In the first homework for Year 5, is "What are universal weak spots of magical creatures?" asking for an explanation of the term 'universal weak spots', or do you need to give examples?

Etymology is the study of the origin of words. The question is asking you to find the etymology of the spell, or where the incantation comes from.

For example, if it were asking for the etymology of the word geology, you could answer something like this:

Geology has two parts. Geo means relating to the earth, and comes from the Greek language. Ology means to study, and also comes from the Greek language. Geology means ‘the study of thing relating to the earth’.

Examples are what I am looking for, a common trend among creatures for example, the soft underbelly, etc.
