The Arrival Tea Party  Valentines 2025
Image

Linda smiled hearing what Aamon was planning. That could definitely be more fun than simply sitting, drinking tea or attempting to make new connections. Connections that most pureblood families were forcing their children to make. There was nothing interesting in those.

Listening to Harvey, Linda was surprised. Am I the only one here who can draw well? Perhaps it shouldn't have surprised her so much. After all, not everyone was good at it. She was so used to meeting at least one more person who could draw nicely.

He was tasked? A simple slip of the tongue suggested that Harvey was here for connections. His question about the purpose of her trip was making her more suspicious. For traveling and more. But I had to go with my brother to meet someone there as well. For connections too. It could be more fascinating if it were just for fun and visiting new places. At least she managed to walk there a lot.

Maria spoke that she is originally from China and soon after left for another table. Linda looked around, taking the opportunity to once again look for two people she'd like to see. So far, no luck. That wasn't bad either since she didn't mind spending time with Harvey and Aamon. However, she hoped that Quentin or Reyna would show up soon.

However, soon another girl joined them. Linda didn't know her, but she wouldn't be surprised if the girl was from Hogwarts too. Meyra, Hogwarts. It was a nice name and totally not surprising. It seemed like their particular group consisted of only Hogwarts students. A strange choice for Harvey, who seemed to be wishing for international connections. Hi. Her thoughts were soon distracted by the sound of a story. So there was more than just talking and drinking tea? Speaking of tea, she still didn't touch hers. There was no particular reason for that. She just didn't feel like drinking now. "Murder"? That was turning out to be something interesting. But will they really kill someone? Linda doubted it.

It wasn't as if Lyanna was late, that was out of the question. Who could ever even dream of being late for a tea party at Beauxbâtons? She had even started to get ready early, putting her hair up with neat bow and slipping on the perfect clothes for the occasion. Arriving, Lyanna realized she wasn't the first, but that didn't matter as her friends weren't there yet anyway. There was so much to eat and drink and the atmosphere was downright flawless. Taking in the Valentine's Day decor, music, and food, she walked towards the snack table and tried some of the food. It was nothing but exquisite! Not that she had expected less from the French though, especially during such a romantic event.

As more people started to fill the room, Lyanna couldn't see who was arriving anymore and therefore didn't notice her friends join the tea party. Instead of trying more food, she decided to go search for her friends, and after quite a while she finally found her best friend Avery, who was talking to a few others Lyanna hadn't met yet.
"Av, there you are! I've been looking for you for ages, despite the fact that I seriously arrived a few minutes early," she told her best friend with a grin, before turning to the others. "Hey, I'm Lyanna, nice to meet you guys!" She said, radiating enthusiasm. Lyanna then noticed that there was a play going on, and was immediately curious to know what it was about, so she asked Avery and her new friends; "By the way, does anyone know what the play is about?"

Avery whipped around in her seat at the sound of a familiar voice behind her. She was happy to find her best friend, Lya, standing right there. She gave her best friend a wide smile before saying, "Lya! I can't believe I didn't find you, yet! Here, You can sit with us if you want!" Avery said as she scooted her chair over in order to make room.

Avery smiled again when Lya asked if anyone knew what the play was about. "Actually, I have no idea what it's about either." Avery laughed lightly at her ignorance to what the play was actually about. It seemed interesting, so she didn't know why she hadn't asked what it was about yet. She had been having so much fun with her friends that she hadn't even gave it a second thought.

As she waited for Lya to sit down, she glanced back to watch the play. She still had no idea what was going on or what it was about, but, either way, it was still interesting to her! She was always eager to learn or see something new! It helped her learn more about the world around her! She couldn't wait to see what else she would learn!

Geneviève's eyes lit up as Alphonse asked her about her own history outside of Beauxbatons. She wasn't letting him off the hook just yet- she wanted to know more about Castelobruxo and this belief that it is "The Heartbeat of Mother Nature." What a beautiful description of something that clearly was so loved by Alphonse. She was not ignorant, she could see and sense a sadness as he spoke about the Southern American school of magic. Beauxbatons was wonderful, and she wouldn't ever consider leaving it (though truthfully, education bored her if it wasn't made to better suit her needs, such as the glamour charms.)

"You escape my questions for now. I will ask later." She giggled as she sighed wistfully and began to think of her hometown of Yvoire. Ah, beautiful, mesmerizing Yvoire. A coastal town of pure beauty that, in a sense, shone just as brightly and radiantly as Beauxbatons itself. There was a chateau much like the school that existed in Yvoire, but it was technically not the property of her family. Yvoire may be their town in a Wizarding sense, but the famille d'Yvoire was the face of the town when the bearings became too... muggle.

"I come from Yvoire, France. I am French through and thorough. My home is the 'gem of the lake,' and I am a product of its beauty." She smiled as she thought about her home. Her gorgeous manor overlooked a private sector of the lake in which it seemed to never stray from its crystal clear waters. Where the sun would always shine and grace her in the mornings. Home was truly where her heart lay, and she loved it dearly.

She had perked up when he mentioned quidditch. Now, she would never play the sport herself, but her brothers had, and they were exceptional. She believed the sport to be quite dangerous, but she did enjoy watching it from above in the stands. Her brothers were such fans that her father always made certain to find the best seats for the Quidditch World Cup.

"I know of this sport. My brothers are invested in its plays. Chasers and Keepers is their practice. You play... which spot?" she asked with genuine curiosity. Again, she would never once set herself aboard a broom, but she valued her brother's happiness and would consistently promote their happiness. Her family was incredibly powerful but so incredibly close-knit.

"My brothers all came and went from here. My father and mother too. Do you have brothers? Sisters? Wizarding Family? I am full blooded Witch." Geneviève spoke aridly as she smiled and probed him for more answers. She was so curious about her newfound partner. They seemed to be so alike and yet so different at the same time; it was nearly captivating how they were able to move so in sync and find their way around each other.

𝓟eter’s face lit up when he saw the girl he wanted to see. Aurélie! Oh, how he could sing her name for all to hear. He loved seeing Aurélie, it was always so comforting to see the energetic girl, and he was even more pleased when Aurélie looked like she liked being around the Beauxbatons boy. A delightful sweet girl, his mother would say, if she had met Aurélie yet, and his father would say, what a pleasant, and vibrant young lady Peter likes here. Though if his father would really say that, Aurélie might see the red blooming across his cheeks!

Perhaps, she should meet my parents over summer holiday. We live in the same country, will it be that hard? Peter thought as Aurélie greeted him. He studied her features, as he noticed the French girl had a little white dress on, and wore a incredible grin on her face.

Peter’s own smile grew, and he exclaimed, his gentle tone mixed with his accent that he always tried so desperately to hide, “Hi Aurélie! Happy almost Valentine’s! How’re you doing?”

A play started and Peter slightly snickered. Of course it was the play about love but he directed his attention on Aurélie, “Should we get a drink? Tea, Aurélie?” He liked saying her name, he loved how it sounded on his tongue. He wondered if there was a Welsh variation of Aurélie, since there was a French version of Peter and also a Welsh version. Perhaps he would still like the sound of the Welsh or English version of Aurélie.

The tea was just that, a pretentious display of social influence and possibly wealth or affluence. Winnie was anxious by virtue of Gideon's presence. He could not blame her, but Gideon was fleeting, his attention and affection for Taylor was abnormal. She was his strangest obsession, another product of their unconventional rearing. He did not address either of them, but he did note Gideon's reaction to Taylor. How he seemed to snap, drag her from the floor.

Something was going on and he would have to investigate the crack he just saw in Gideon's otherwise stony facade.

"It would appear that I have an opportunity I cannot ignore," he smiled and attempted to kiss Winnie's hand. He was departing, but it was in pursuit of his younger brother Gideon. "I need to see what that was all about," he nodded his head towards the door the duo had just vacated. "Have a good evening dear," he stated in parting.

He had the appearance of a gentleman. A mask he knew how to don when he needed to. When he wanted to. He was the furthest thing from a gentleman in truth, he was petty, selfish and in a lot of ways damaged in ways that Winnie seemed to find inexplicably endearing. It was likely his glorious abds, his godly good looks and of course his winning personality and humility.

All these cakes and pastries are too sweet. The Madeleine was soft and airy, though she would much rather have a grapefruit or lemon tart. Her gaze calmly scanned the area. Campbell was still with the young Fairchild and Dehoff, and there were other familiar faces—students she had crossed paths with many moons ago—none that she was particularly interested in talking to. Her curiosity was peculiar, sparking at odd moments. Speaking of curiosities, her eyes flickered to someone.

Aamon.

Now why did she think of him?

She shook her head and sighed softly, looking away. More people wandered in, all smiling and admiring the decorations. The tea party was beginning to feel...limiting as she played with her silver bracelet before muttering to herself, "I need to get some air." Without a second glance, she began to step forward, ignoring anyone who called out to her as the exit got closer. The sound of a play commencing would fade as onlookers began to settle down and watch the show.

The immediate area outside of the tea party was silent, the gentle breeze washing away any remaining headache until there was one left. Only this headache was one she could not ignore; sooner or later, it would catch up to her.

It was only a matter of time.

Harvey was truly overestimating Aamon if he thought they would trust him to drive a bus. Aamon was devastatingly handsome, but had more teeth than IQ points. But he had a good, kind nature, even if his foot had a special place reserved in his mouth.

Meyra was underestimating Aamin's affluence as much as Harvey overestimated Aamon's aptitude. Yes, that was a real nice way of calling Aamon a rich idiot. She considered this trip to Beauxbatons a rare opportunity, to Aamon it was just another trip to France. His older cousin Jurgen went to Beauxbatons briefly. "We are drinking leaf water and pastry, trying to find someone to marry or create a family connection with," Aamon complained. "I'm 12, not 21," the incredibly ancient age that seemed unreasonably distant.

She seemed mildly interested at least.

Aamon’s grin stretched across his face like a man who had just been handed trouble on a silver platter. Aamon was still a pre-teen, that strange space between a teenager and a child. There was a playful, mildly devious streak in every child and Aamon, while gentler than most, was still a kid. Harvey had taken the bait. This would be the end of boring old Harvey, the start if exciting new Harvey. Excellent.

Now, was Aamon's idea good? No. Was it intelligent? Also no. Was it dramatic and stupid enough to be perfect? Absolutely. With the background of the acting troupe, Aamon would excitedly continue in a whispering tone but their attention was on the show.

It was some guy that did not know love or something. He tried to pay attention, stuff happened. "Oh, that was pretty nice wasn't it?"

Aamon politely waited for the show to finish nd nodded his head. "Yep, it was great," he lied. It was like making him watch golf. Stuff happened, he sorta understood it, but he was daydreaming a new minutes in.

Linda mentioned 'murder'. "No murder," Aamon was not evil.

Aamon leaned forward, elbows on the table, eyes glinting with something that was definitely not wisdom. “Alright, hear me out,” he began, hands animated as he spoke, because plans required gestures. Did the gestures mean anything? Maybe. “The goal is simple: psychological warfare.”

While his peers were replacing shampoo with manegro and placing an adhesive on the toilet seat, leaving true psychological scars on their peers, Aamon had his own plans. Aamon let his statement 'psychological warfare' settle in, as if it was a dramatic statement before continuing, lowering his voice slightly, like he was sharing a great secret. “We let our roommates—nay, the victims—believe they are haunted.” Aamon gave a meaningful nod, like this was the most foolproof idea in the world. It was not. “Small things at first. Subtle. Move their books or jacket two inches to the left when they aren’t looking. Tilt a picture frame. Whispers in the dark—” he wiggled his fingers theatrically, “ghostly whispers.”

Then, with the conviction of a man who was in far too deep, he snapped his fingers. “Then we escalate! We steal all their left shoes! Only the left ones, so they have to question their own sanity. Switch their pillows in the middle of the night, so they wake up slightly more confused than usual. Hide a single sock in the icebox. Just one. A lone, frozen sock.”

Aamon looked at them with the full intensity of a boy who had definitely not thought this through, yet had absolute faith in his plan.

"And then—the grand finale—BAM! A chicken in their wardrobe." where would he find a chicken, he had no idea. They sold those in stores didn't they? Well, if a chicken was unavailable, then a duck would be fine he reasoned. Always a Plan B.

He let the brilliance of his plan settle over the table, crossing his arms triumphantly. “So. Who’s in?”

Abraxans, her brain silently screeched, if you want to lie to me, at least do it right!

That was really what it boiled down to, wasn't it? Maybe Avis was an awful liar. Maybe she just didn't care enough to try and be convincing.

Her mind roared with jabs she could make, remarks to highlight Avis's obvious lie. They slid down to her mouth, slithering on her tongue like a venomous snake, waiting for the cage to open so it could bite. The bitter taste dimmed her bright expression, corners of her smile faltering.

"Oh?" she managed to say instead "Guess I'll go alone then" she added after a pause. Not feeling the need to be secretive about it, she grabbed a handful of the star shaped chocolates, shoving them into her pockets. She already carried some trinkets there that were bound to mix with the treat, but at the moment she couldn't care less about that.

She caught Avis's angry glare when she touched her. The small shake of her head.

Sabrina doubted her fellow Raven took her words at face value. No. She understood well. Either everything was fine and Avis simply - and if this were the case, quite rudely - turned her down in favor of a small talk with a bunch of strangers, or there was something wrong, and Avis didn't trust Sabrina - didn't see her enough of a friend - to confide in her. Both were a rejection. Both stung.

"Thanks" she answered one of the girls - Annie, was it? - whilst standing up. Her smile returned to her face, even though tight. "see you around" she said to the table, her hand briefly patting Mateo's shoulder in a silent goodbye as she swiveled on her heel.

A new girl joined their group just as she was leaving. Sparing her an honest smile, Sabrina strode off.

Jun was nervous about the first Valentines day trip because it was a far away place and it was his first trip since he arrived at Hogwarts. However,
hehad an adventurous feeling too.

When he arrived at Beauxbâtons, he was astounded by the structural beauty of the school. He stopped to gaze at the medieval building. It was really just magnificent. (Well not better then Hogwarts) He went in finally.

He was wearing a suit. He didn't like it that much. He like comfortable clothes like hoodies and robes, not suits. Anyways, he just wore it. He entered the building with a intense feeling. He didn't know a lot of people here because he was a first year. He wished all would just go well.

He walked around the room. Going to the far corner. He watched the students come in. The empty room began to fill with people. Students looked great with thier best outfits. He wondered if he looked even okay. He quickly decided to come so he didn't make himself so good.

He found a chair and sat down to wait for all the students to file in. Suddenly, he saw a girl a few tables away. He stood up and started towards her. When he arrived he said "Hey, can I sit next to you?"
