Field Day Finale | Tug of War
It was over. It was finally over. Hjørdis gladly let the rope fall from her grip, quickly checking her nails. They seemed alright, surprisingly. Well then, that was a relief. She was still going to take the wonderful @Ami Procoppio up on the nail painting but that could wait until the current design needed replacing. So in a few days.
But more importantly, it was time to bask in the glory of a very silent @Caradoc Browne. She had waited 469 days for such an occasion and it was finally here. Four hundred and sixty-nine days that she had known the irritating man who never shut up. Today, today was the day she could embrace the silence and watch him squirm.
Hjørdis was very curious to see if he could actually last more than five seconds. Quirking an eyebrow, she spotted him over by the two Hufflepuffs... pretty sure his mouth was moving. He clearly had not started his end of the bargain yet, but that was fine. Perhaps she could just... silence him for him. He did make the deal, right?
Glancing around, she spotted @Callie Jensen. The Head of Slytherin silently wondered what the girl had been excited to give her before but she figured not asking was the better idea here. Whatever it was, it would likely be something cheeky knowing who it was coming from. Perhaps a dungbomb? A set of dentures? A screaming yo-yo? Hair dye? Yeah... perhaps it was better just not to ask.
The smirk surfaced on her lips as she spotted a certain someone from the corner of her eye start to disappear from view (Perception Roll: 13 + 20 = 33). Letting him escape was definitely the nicest thing she could do. He could go be noisy elsewhere. As long as she did not have to listen to his voice, she was fine with it. Walking up to the Hufflepuff pair [@Willow Anderson & @Ami Procoppio] that organised the day, gently placing a hand on each of their shoulders, "Well done, you two." She said. There was no way she was going to give a speech like Caradoc. That was just about as much as they would get out of her. It was more than what most people got - whether or not that made a difference. "Miss Procoppio, I look forward to our manicure session," She added before nodding a goodbye as she turned to leave. They were responsible enough to clean up by themselves so she would leave them to it.

Field Day Finale | Tug of War
Once more as River gave the rope her mightiest tug, which really wasn't very strong, the rope seemed to move towards their side of the field. She really had no questions about them being able to win, especially seeing how the rounds had been going previously, and the game was quickly ticking to an end. And as the team of students were pulled a little further towards the professors and herself, the game was called to an end and it was over. She wasn't going to lie, from unsuccessfully sending a sponge around, to winning the tug of war, it hadn't been a bad day. Not at all. She'd enjoyed it quite a bit in fact. Though as her arm muscles were aching, her hands were sore and her clothes had some splashes of water still damp, she was more than ready to head inside for a warm shower before eventually going to bed when that time would come. Sitting down with a book and some tea sounded nothing short of perfect, and she figured she was a bit happy to now have finished the activities for the day. As the other participants bega to leave, she smiled and nodded a thank you to the two organisers before taking her leave and heading back up to the castle.[Leaves Thread]

Field Day Finale | Tug of War
It was inevitable that the professors would have won this game. Children were still growing and did not have their full strength like adults. But it was definitely fun to watch them try nonetheless.
Dropping the rope that was wrapped around her knuckles, Maya looked at her hands and saw how red they were from all the pulling. Luckily, it wasn't as red as her cloak, but it definitely was discolored. Wiping her hands on her cloak, she walked over to @Willow Anderson and @Ami Procoppio, who were the mastermind of this game.
"Thank you for a wonderful afternoon," she said to the young Hufflepuffs with a smile. It was nice that some of the students could put together games of their own rather than just have the professors do them. Giving students a sense of autonomy was how they were to grow and Maya loved to see what they can do with whatever they have.
Looking around, she saw that many participants had already left, especially some to most professors. It seemed that Caradoc had left too suddenly and Nora was nowhere to be found. Maya had also decided it was best to leave and get ready for her patrolling shift that was in a mere few hours.
