Barbecue, to be completely transparent, wasn’t exactly Rafa’s thing.

After all, it wasn’t as if the delicacy was a clean food. No, on the contrary – to the young Captain’s horror, the chicken seemed to be chaotic mess of sauce and charcoal from afar, the same sort that clung to one’s fingers, shadowing one’s every move with the imprints of stickiness and grime. The young man couldn’t help but shiver from where he stood in line, his eyes searching the table with a strange sort of gaze, a look that could only be regarded as disdain – really, he couldn’t be sure of what was so appealing about Barbecue. Sure, if one looked past the disgust of getting one’s fingers dirtied by sauce, perhaps there was an inkling of enjoyment in eating the American delicacy. But why waste one’s time, when there were plenty of other good food options? The Gryffindor was self-conscious, his eyes locking onto the napkins as he progressed forward tentatively. Perhaps they would be his only friend in this journey one called dinnertime. What was he to do, to escape the horrifying meal that was barbecue?

It really didn’t help that the teachers had done such a great job of making the food look amazing. Oh well, he supposed he wouldn’t complain, only eat. He was a growing boy, after all, and when a man was hungry, he didn’t worry about a mess.

Anyone looking upon the newly instated second year, would notice the putrid look upon the child’s face as he inched down the line, his eyes heavy with disdain and nose scrunched up in a perfect mirror of the disgust he felt. Could anyone really blame him? Rolling up his sleeves – the boy was wearing a red, white, and blue pinstripe Hawaiian shirt with skinny jeans and the same grass-stained tennis shoes he always wore – he would shortly maneuver about, taking care to grab his plate and tongs [as well as a whole stack of napkins to make up for the sauce and suffering he was to endure], before turning to face the food with the ferocity of a man on a mission. It wouldn’t take him long to find some optimal pieces – with practiced ease, he would reach out, taking the food up in his tongs, and setting the good pieces onto his plate. A job well done. He could have only anticipated such greatness from an awesome child as himself.

It would be then, that he would hear it – “…this handsome devil of a quidditch captain.”

At the very sound of such words, the boy immediately dropped the tongs he was using – someone was talking about him? Well, he shouldn’t have been surprised. People talked about him a lot, allegedly. But then again – what the fuck? The child could do little to control his impulses, his eyes fluttering over to the direction of the sound with a stark sense of curiosity. Alas, he found quite a sight – it was a rather handsome boy, presumably an Ilvermorny kid, if his accent was anything to go by. How interesting. But how was it that the kid knew his title? Face? The Gryffindor wouldn’t lie, the thought subtlely creeped him out. But he could do nothing to consider such an inquiry further, as the American shortly turned towards him, cutting the girl behind him in line. Classy. Well, it was a silly notion, he supposed, imagining that he would have an easy time in a place in which students of magic presided. This time, the trouble wouldn’t be from the likes of Hogwarts.

“Everett Brooks, Ilvermorny. Feel free to call me Rett. You’ve got quite the reputation across the pond.”

The young Captain was given not a moment to speak, his mouth stretched into a tight line as he silently listened to the Ilvermorny child talk – Rett, his name was, a confirmed American. Good to know Rafa was right again. Though, his satisfaction was short lived, as the conversation shifted just as quick as it had started, this time towards a much more touchy matter. Alas, Rafael had only little time to build his reputation as a Quidditch Captain, a fact that had resulted in numerous belittlings via his fellow classmates – the fact that he should even consider ‘proving’ himself, no less to an American he’d just met, it just…. It enraged the young Captain, to be completely honest. His face was blank, save for his eyes, ever hardening as the boy continued speaking. The words were dancing on the tip of his tongue, the venom he was about to unleash on the foreign child for even considering to dare his abilities in the Quidditch Pitch keeping him warm and toasty inside. It wouldn’t be long until Rett would learn the other half of the child’s reputation as a student. This won’t do at all.

The American would soon stop his dialogue, leaving a pool of silence not entertained by the likes of Rafael. Rather, the Gryffindor’s brows had furrowed in thought, a small, wry chuckle escaping his lips as he clutched his plate with white knuckles, eyes glues to his shoes as he grasped for the words to counter this ‘Rett’. Eventually, after a few seconds, he allowed himself to look up, shrugging his shoulders as he gazed at the boy across from him, a smile on his face that didn’t quite seem to reach his eyes. He would begin to move his head side-to-side, as if weighing out his options. “I guess,” he began, “it shouldn't come as a surprise, that our Barbecue is satisfactory. British people typically are better at everything.” It wasn’t true, he’d seen a couple different countries, but it wasn’t as if the Americans could talk. What did they have? Then continuing on, he looked down once more, his smile leaving, in place of a more pondering gaze. “The fact that you think I need to prove my reputation to you is laughable. I mean, what do I have to prove? And to you, of all people? A damned American, whose name I learned shy of 30 seconds ago? What, you guys have 350 years’ worth of Independence and a hefty bank account? And everyone has to answer to you?” His nose furrowed in disgust, and he regarded the American with an air of disdain. “The fact that you know my name from ‘across the pond’ is enough to speak for what I do.”

Typically the Captain’s case would have been much stronger, but due to exhaustion and the need for something to eat, Rafael was left without further words to attack the American with. Oh, well. Deciding he’d had enough in entertaining the Ilvermorny boy, he offered his new acquaintance another wry smile and nod, stepping away with a short wave behind his back. “Sorry, Everest,”he stated brightly, “but I’ve got barbecue to eat.” He would spare the Ilvermorny boy no more attention, quickly finding a picnic table to dine at. Setting his plate down, he would continue to maneuver about, attempting to find a way to eat his food…

I probably haven't collected my allowance yet.

The English weather was just a bit too hot for Hanzo’s taste, but it was okay. Today was going to be a good day, the child had long since decided.

The young Captain, contrary to the typical dress-code of the winter wonderland he had once presided, was currently wearing a cheery sort of outfit, the ‘soft boy’ look he always rocked coming off quite clean this time around – a long pair of loose light denim jeans, an airy white t-shirt underneath, complete with a yellow-plaid long-sleeve overtop it, unbuttoned to the point where it was worn as a jacket. The breeze was absolutely lovely, amazing in the way that it rushed through the boy’s hair, tousling his sun-kissed locks much like the brisk winds of his homeland, except this time comforting and warm in nature. A brilliant feeling, if he did say so himself. The atmosphere he now found himself in was also quite lovely in nature – barbecue, a food the young man had not yet tried, now entertaining his nostrils with the delicious mesquite smells that their sauce carried. Wow, England was amazing. He made a mental note there that it would be the place he would live when he grew up, perhaps even played Quidditch as an adult.

It was quite easy to become lost in the environment, even more easy to lose touch of one’s surroundings – the impact could only be described as shocking, the way he had felt the pressure of another sending his own balance off-kilter. The child had promptly fell, too shocked to catch himself, quite surprised by the turn of events, his eyes wide as he searched about for the source of his sudden dissertation. Looking around and blinking, his eyes locked onto a girl – particularly, a rather lovely female wearing a sundress, a bunch of carrots in-hand. Her ramblings came as another shock, the child’s eyes wide as he grasped for words of his own – “No, I –“ he struggled, trying to formulate coherent English. “The fault, it was mine. I wasn’t watching where I was going. I, uh, I apologize.” He would pick himself up from the soft grass, crouching as he extended a hand of his own. “Here, let me help you up.” Seeing the girl’s shy smile, he would return it, a small blush creeping onto his facial features. Well, he supposed chivalry wasn’t dead. “Are you okay?”

I probably haven't collected my allowance yet.

Howard shot a glance over his shoulder at the Durmstrang siblings as they progressed towards the grill. Usually his “tough guy” actions were enough to deter people that he didn’t want around. A crack of the neck or curse word and they’d bugger right off, but not the case with the new foreign acquaintances. Nichlas would would meet his eye with a determined look, while Ella clapped back with a witty remark. Many might think this would only provoke Howard into a fit of fury, but he often enjoyed the company of those with what he considered a “backbone.” Perhaps there was more to these Durmstrang folks after all.

All thoughts would be quickly shunted from his mind as his eyes turned back towards the grill and then directly down into those of Serena Towers. THUMP! Ok, seriously, Howard had some undiagnosed heart condition as his ticker skipped yet another beat. What would come next was the most horrendous scene of teenage nerves ever imaginable. Both Serena and he would launch into a tirade of stuttered, broken sentences. Speaking over one another as they attempted normal, civilized conversation.

“Serena!” Why was he talking so loud? Hey...hi! Oh!....uh, thanks...yeah...uh huh...that’s what I was eating...you didn’t have to...” The words were barfed out of his mouth as the nerves took full control of his mind. Surely Serena was cursed or using some form of dark magic as his mind reverted back to a primal state.

”Cat got your tongue?” Nichlas landed a well placed verbal jab. Without looking, Howard would swing back with his elbow. Not to inflict pain, but to physically say, “Not now, Bro!”

”He likes raw meat.” Phyllis interjected as Serena offered him a cooked burger. The situation was turning critical. Initiate defcon 4!!

“No!” Howard blurted out in response, calm down dude! “I mean...yes...I do, but cooked is fine as well. Seriously, I don’t mind.” It’s normal to act this weird about a burger. Definitely. “Yeah...yes, let’s make one together.” Ah, finally, a decision, but Serena and her wonderfully caring self would worry about feeding the others as well. Calling them his friends was a bit of a stretch as he had only just met them, but perhaps he should awkwardly introduce the people who had already introduced themselves. Howard would make a half turn and point them out one by one. “Uh, we’ve only just met but this is Nichlas, Ella, Phyllis and...I didn’t catch your name, (Greta). Everyone this is Serena, we’re in the same year...and house. Uh...we’re gonna make a plate...uh...then feel free to join us I suppose?”

Did Howard White, the angstiest Dhampir in all the lands, just willingly offer to socialize with with a group of his peers? Yes, yes he did. His eyes met back with Serena’s to see if she approved of the plan. Like I said, dark magic was surely at play.

(OOC: feel free to leave the rambling mess they call Howard if you wish or come along and watch the train wreck!)

Wow. Just... wow. Phyllis had no other words for whatever the heck was going on between Serena and Howard. They might've just taken the record for most awkward conversation she'd ever heard. Like, what even? There was no hiding her massive eyeroll. And sure, she was no expert on this kind of thing, but she was pretty sure Howard had a crush on Serena. That would explain the senseless rambling and denial of his love of raw meat. Merlin's beard, this was not really the thing she came to the barbeque for.

"Nope, I'm good. You two have fun making a burger together." As hilarious as it was watching them, she was not sticking around. Who knew, that stuttering might be contagious. Turning to the new extremely short Durmstrang girl, who Ella helpfully introduced as Greta, Phyllis grinned. "Hi. And yeah, I'm coming." She followed the pair over to the food table, picking out a burger for herself. "Hey. Can you grill this for me, please?" The request was addressed to @Caradoc Browne. He was tall, so he had to be one of the adults in charge of the barbeque.

While she waited, the redhead had a few questions for Ella and Greta. "So, are you guys on the Quidditch team? Or did you just come to watch? And, if you are, what positions? I'm a Chaser, though it's not like Ilvermorny gets to play this time around. Do you think you'll be able to beat the Hogwarts team? And what broom models do you have? I've just got a Comet 180, but I'm saving up for something better." Phyllis was a girl of many words, something very evident as question after question spewed out of that mouth of hers. She just liked to talk, and hopefully her new maybe-friends wouldn't mind. Besides, in her mind there was literally nothing on the face of the planet that made for better discussion than Quidditch.
Note: I don't have a Comet 180 in my trunk, but I hope it's okay to just mention here since Phyllis won't ever use it in a moderated situation. I own a more expensive broom anyways. Let me know if I need to fix this. ^^

Well, Auri, being late is better than not coming at all. Rose was about to introduce Eyre and Aurelia to each other, but they beat her to it. "Oh, um, yeah," she added awkwardly. "Oh, yeah," she added "This girl... wasn't watching where she was going and crashed into me," Rose lied. She knew perfectly well that Selene Ackermann had meant to spill her punch all over her sweater.
Rose really wasn't hungry or thirsty, but she thought it was really cute nice of Eyre how he (how many times was he going to say this?!-the sweetheart-) offered to get her a drink. "Oh, thanks for asking, but no, I'm good," Rose's smile reached her eyes when she said it. She decided to keep an eye on the extremely sunburnt Eyre when he walked away, you never know, he could fall over from heatstroke or something. She knew what that felt like, being in the sun with a really bad sunburn. It was like you could feel your already burnt skin getting significantly darker every second you didn't go under shade. It was... not amazing. Then, she changed her mind and sat up as if she was going to get up. "I can get it for you if you want. You can stay here in the shade," she offered. She knew Eyre would be okay the minute he stayed out in the sun with that burn, but she wanted to help in any way she could. "Just tell me what you want and I'll get it for you."

"True... yeah, you wouldn't really know, you've barely been here at all. Um, I literally have no idea. There are some Hogwarts events that we can't go to... I think there's capture the base, that might be fun to do. I think its all of the schools are competing in that... but I really wouldn't know, I have a really bad memory," he racked his brains for something else. "Yeah, I dunno, really."
Drew tilted his head and replied, "I've come here a couple times, y'know, to visit family. Well, this country is definetley different, but it's not bad. It's really cold in the winter, I guess, and everyone speaks in a different accent that catches me off guard all the time. That isn't always pleasant. I kinda wish I could come here more often, I like going to other countries. I've never been anywhere that isn't in the UK or the United States, so I kinda wish I could go to, like, Germany, or Australia.I know, It's weird, but it's true. What about you? For the first time in a long time, Bloom wanted to go home for the summer. Typically, she would want to be as far away as possible from her sisters and baby brother, but she urged to go home. Unfortunately, it was not the case. Bloom did not come from a wealthy family and her parents often tried everything they can to make sure to give all to their children. Having a special outing as a part of Hogwarts was their way of shooing Bloom out of the house while they continue to rent her room out. It was consistent income that they were getting and they would rather not lose it and in turn, Bloom would have a "fun" summer with her classmates and peers.

Bloom, now a part of the Hogwarts Summer Camp 2020, felt extremely shy. She had been primarily to herself all year. If anything, she had a lot going on mentally from what happened her prior year that her trust in others was limited. For one, she had a boyfriend who harmed others--even if it wasn't his fault. Throughout the year, she tried to work on her studies, but often found herself just spending all her time in her dorm room on her bed, reading.

But this time it was different. She was roomed with other individuals and she had to go out and explore with everyone. Maybe her parents were right: maybe this was going to be a new beginning for her. But she still would take awhile to open her heart to others. How long that was going to be was unknown.

Bloom knew, though, of how hungry she was. She needed some food in her belly and what better than to have BBQ food. Burgers, hot dogs and more. Granted, she was late in arriving, but she figured that the food wouldn't run out and she would most likely not see a lot of people. Who would stay for the whole time? Typically, hanging out in tents was what most people would be doing their second official night camping. But who knew?

Bloom walked over to where the burgers were and grabbed one along with a plate. Her burger was plain. She did not care for the lettuce, tomatoes, onions or condiments. She just wanted meat and bread. It was just satisfying for her at the moment. Bloom looked around and saw that there were more people than she thought hanging around the BBQ. There were people she found familiar, but many people who were not familiar. Perhaps it was because there were students from Durmstrang that were also around. She wondered what it was like to go to school there versus Hogwarts. Was it just as chaotic?

Bite after bite, Bloom ate some of her hamburger slowly while watching everyone around her interact with each other. If she wanted to connect with someone, Bloom had no idea of how to go about it. Does she just eavesdrop and then interrupt their conversation? It seemed her interpersonal relationship skills dropped significantly low.

She really did not have any idea what she was in for.

The second that the boy's lips made contact with her rather small hand, Frost's brain kind of buffered. She opened her mouth to say something, probably that her extended hand was meant for a shake and not a kiss, but no words came out. Just a small and curious "Oh?". Her eyes slightly wider than usual, her gaze lingered on her hand as he let go before looking up to meet Alexei's. On his face was a wide grin- one that just radiated charisma- and slight redness on his cheeks. Wait... hadn't she seen something just like this before? It reminded her of particularly bold boys in movies when they were attracted to a girl.

Frost choked on air at the thought of herself being the target for flirting. Touching the spot on her hand where she had been kissed, she met Alexei's eyes as he answered her question with his quite charming accent. It wasn't that she thought of herself as ugly or not worthy of romantic stuff, but it was honestly shocking to her. Especially as someone who had never really been flirted with before. Of course, she smiled an appreciative grin that touched her eyes at his comment of her being beautiful. "Thank you! I think you look beautiful too," The thank you was meant to be on Frost and the girls at Hogwarts' behalf. The redheaded girl would most definitely agree that all of the girls at Hogwarts were beautiful.

A couple of girls approached the pair, making conversation. Frost could only assume that they were friends. She tilted her head and put on a friendly expression, waving to the girls politely. "Hello, it's nice to meet you, I'm Frost," After a few more girls came rolling in, the redhead girl had decided to stop greeting everyone that came. It was slightly less polite than she wanted to be, but it was getting quite tedious. As girls started to crowd around her and Alexei, her smile fell a tiny bit. For some reason, being crowded by girls and being so close to the center of attention didn't sit right with Frost.

She waved and smiled at Amadea, letting out a quiet breath at seeing a familiar face. "Hey, Amadea! I'm doing pretty good, actually. I know it's been a bit," Two other girls joined the bunch right after Amadea, and in the few seconds that she had room to breathe, the girl had decided that she didn't want to stay in the center of the kissing club. Frost started to worm her way out of the group, inch by inch. As the redhead did so, she followed Alexei's gaze as he looked over to something and saw another boy (Maksim), probably from Durmstrang or Ilvermorny, and met eyes for a moment or two.

As she looked around the barbecue area as best she could, because wow this place was crowded, she had decided that anywhere was a little bit better than in the middle of the mass of girls. Seriously, it was as if Alexei was a magnet and was pulling in girls left and right, and it was getting gradually more intimidating by the minute. Among the chatter, there was suddenly a deeper and more masculine sounding voice, speaking Russian, no less. As Frost turned her head to see who it was, her ponytail whacked her softly in the face.

It was none other than the, admittedly fairly attractive, boy she had made eye contact with just a few moments ago. The boy placed his arm over Alexei's shoulders and- 'oh wow look at his arm', words that were only thought in Frost's mind, of course. Her eyes couldn't help but linger on his arm, which just had to be muscular. After a hefty moment, the redhead cleared her throat and looked down at the floor instead, realizing that she was staring. In moments like these, Frost hoped that nobody was listening to her thoughts. She knew that people weren't just their looks and that she should be paying more attention to how they were as a person, but could you blame her, really? Some people were just super pretty.

Frost could only assume that the two Durmstrang boys were friends and knew each other well, by the way the darker-skinned boy was acting. The charm that emanated from Maksim's grin made the redhead smile a little bigger as he turned to talk to her. She made a conscious effort to keep eye contact with him in order to not stare at his arms as he brought them back to his sides.

"Oh, um, napkins?" She would've said something about the group not really being her friends and that she had never seen Alexei before today, but she was unable to start her sentence because of the saucy wink Maksim had given her.'Oh my gosh, of course, he has a nice accent'. "Okie dokie," The words came out a bit more excited than she meant, but the mix of being able to leave the cult meeting and getting to talk to a pretty boy was exciting, after all. Frost walked closer to Maksim as he started to leave, standing right beside him and making her notice just how much taller he was compared to her. The top of her ginger head would reach to about his jaw. If Frost didn't seem dainty already, she would be now. The girl let her eyes travel momentarily over his muscley arms and broader shoulders.

Frost looked up and into his eyes, "Can I tell you something?" It wasn't a very serious thing, so she waited only a brief moment before telling him anyway. "I have no idea where the napkins are." Though she had a feeling that he wasn't actually looking for napkins, she let out a small giggle/snort noise.

When he realized that both of them didn't want anything, he started heading off towards the drinks (after throwing off the goofy sunglasses and hat, that is. Even if he was dying, he didn't want to be seen as the kid dressed like his grandma) Rose, being as caring and kind as she was, quickly sat up and called out in his direction.

"I can get it for you if you want. You can stay here in the shade," she offered. "Just tell me what you want and I'll get it for you."

He shook his head at her, smiling. "I'm fine, really. Besides, I wouldn't want you to fuss over my food." After years of being fed by his mother, who would always request their house elf Choux to cut his meat into small chunks so that 'he wouldn't choke,' he had a strong sense of independence when it came to feeding himself. Even when sunburnt to a crisp, he wanted to keep his agency. (Regardless of how silly it was.)

He started off towards the BBQ. He decided that he'd opt for a burger with cheese, pickles, ketchup and a skewer full of vegetables and bits of steak. After getting his food and heading towards the drink station to pick up a tall cup of water and ice, he walked towards the tree again only to bump into a muscular looking guy who was taller than he was by just a few inches. His drink had spilled a little bit over his hand, droplets of water falling onto the kid's shoes. Thankfully it wasn't punch.

"Oh, sorry!" Eyre apologized, almost certain that it wasn't a big deal, but wanting to be courteous regardless.

Any godmodding of Phyllis was approved
In all honesty, Karilyna didn't care too much about food. It was great and all, and obviously, it was a necessity for survival, but there were always better things to do. Having arrived in London--and for the first time--only a couple days prior, she was perfectly contented wandering the campgrounds, bouncing up to people spontaneously with an introduction, or occasionally poking her head, unbidden, into other tents. She'd seen a couple of glares, a handful of harsh words here and there, but ultimately, it had been great fun. One couldn't befriend others without approaching people, right? Well, thus was Karilyna's philosophy.

Still, the prospect of a barbecue seemed rather attractive to the young girl. She was desperately hungry after a day's worth of exploring and frolics, so food would be nice, and besides, it would be great fun. From what it sounded like, it would be hosted by Hogwarts, so chances were, there might be kids of all ages and from different schools. She barely had any friends who weren't American, so it would be a perfect opportunity to meet some completely different people.

Stopping at her tent for Phyllis, a quick glance over the scene quickly told Karilyna that her best friend had already left. Without her. Great. It wasn't really like she cared (well, maybe she did, just a little bit), though, since of course she would have no problem fending for her 4'5" self in a huge crowd. It was probably true, honestly. Spinning on a heel, she strode away and onto the site of the barbecue. Surprisingly, she didn't stop when she was quickly enveloped in a massive group of people, most of them quite a bit taller than herself, but plowed through, ducking and weaving. It was a miracle she didn't knock anyone over with her abrupt crossing in front of people. Perhaps she'd just done this too many times. Perhaps this was just a short people thing.

As she made her way out of the action, the Thunderbird paused in her aimless walking, crossing her arms and glancing around. It was cool to hear all the different languages being spoken, as well as the accented English. She herself was bilingual, being able to speak both Japanese and English, but she'd lived in America for long enough that she no longer spoke much Japanese and had clearly developed a very American accent. To stand among people who spoke a variety of languages, though, was still interesting, to say the least.

But back to her mission. Where was Phyllis? There didn't seem to be too many redheads among the throng, so it couldn't have been that hard. Of course, her being incredibly short didn't help things. Well, Karilyna was sure she'd find her sometime--unless Phyllis had gone off exploring without her, or whatever. Just as she was about to turn elsewhere and strike up a conversation with some stranger, a head of red hair caught her eye. Finally. She fairly galloped across the grass, covering the distance in a few strides.

"Phy-llis Stan-wood," she chanted as she neared her friend, slowing to a walk, "I thought I told you to wait!" It wasn't until then that she realized that her fellow Thunderbird was with two others, a tall brunette [Ella]--about Phyllis' height, it seemed--and a pretty blonde [Greta]. Upon noticing that the blonde's height was quite near her own, Karilyna's ever-present smile widened. It had been a long time since she'd met someone around her size, after all.

Much unlike others, she didn't tend to think about the fact that she was interrupting a conversation. But even so, she had a brain, of course. "Sorry," she glanced apologetically at the others, "I'm Karilyna, by the way. It's nice to meet you." For once, she held her tongue, aware that if she didn't, she'd likely get herself into trouble yet again. The girls looked nice, and she didn't want to scare them away with her big mouth. It would've been an awful shame.

Aurelia listened as Rose and Eyre explained to her the reason for the spill. She nodded in response and sipped her water: "Damn, that sucks. That girl should be more careful...", her sentence trailed off as she took a big bite of her burger. It was too good! Happily, Aurelia munched on it, when Eyre mentioned going to get water. As she glanced up, she suddenly noticed how incredibly sunburnt he was. "Oh- you...", she stammered and suddenly felt bad for drinking her water without giving some to him. But before she could offer her help, Rose did. Aurelia watched her, her face turning slightly red.

She watched as Eyre declined the offer and headed off. Aurelia stared down at her newly empty plate. , Aurelia waited for the reply and whether Rose said yes or not she headed off to the food station. She watched as Eyre bumped into this hot durmstrang dude and chuckled at his clumsiness. She didn't follow him, it seemed like maybe Eyre wanted his distance. She grabbed herself some fries and decided to get another burger. She was a bit worried about her health, but it was barbeque and Aurelia couldn't resist.

After standing around with Rose for a while, she spotted a pair of Hufflepuffs, talking about raw burgers or something. Slightly weirded out and slightly worried that she was imagining things from the heat, she excused herself with Rose. "I think I'll go check that out over there, seems interesting. You can join me if you would like", she grinned and gestured towards the students.

She neared herself to the boy and girl and giggled at their fruitless attempts of a conversation, filled with stuttering and interceptions by a group behind them. She decided to help the boy, who seemed quite close to an anxiety attack, even though this wasn't her business and she should probably stay out of it. Problem is, Aurelia has no sense of when it is rude to interrupt and when it is ok. Let's just hope that in this case it is the latter. She brushed her shoulder past his back and whispered: "You got this", quiet enough for only him to hear. She hoped to give him more confidence, as she wanted their conversation to keep going. Why she encouraged some random Hufflepuff, she had no idea. It was often that in moments like these she made impulsive decisions. After that was done, she joined the group behind him and immediately assumed they were his friends. Completely ignoring the fact that they looked like they were from a different school. "Does he always act like this?", she said to a girl that was around Auri's age@Thomas Lestrange (Ella Forsberg). Then, she joined the group to watch what was about to go down. "Oh, and I'm Aurelia. Aurelia Roberts. Are you guys from Durmstrang of Ilvermorny? I haven't seen you around Hogwarts"
