Does anyone know what it means when someone's name becomes "ancien sorcier" and the person no longer has a profile? I think it might mean that they've deactivated or something, but I'm not sure

Well, I have to say that it's more complicated than that. The story didn't start with the muggles finding out. It actually started like two years ago, when the Ministry of Magic has been defeated by Pure-Blood supremacists. The Ministry of Magic was destroyed and the new leader (which was a woman!) of what she called "Wizard Council" (le Conseil des Sorciers) set up in Godric's Hollow and established muggle-born discriminating rules. Which affected Hogwarts, even if it still had its independence.
Then, a lot of things happened, it would be hard to describe them all. But the major event was when we discovered that the Wizard Council chief was an Obscurial: she destroyed a part of London and let the magical world appears to muggles.
I had to say that now, she's dead (because of what she had inside her, indeed) and was defeated by her army chiefs that now are leading altogether.

I realise that Poudlard.fr story is kind of twisted - as there are other stories happening in parallel. If you need any help to understand, you can always reach me!

Then, while we are talking about the story: are there any events to know about in HiO? That changed the story in a significant way, or the life at Hogwarts?

I had to take French for seven years in primary school but the teacher was really bad and I think the only French thing I still remember how to say is "il y a du vent" it is windy. So yeah, the French site maybe isn't for me.
