I had that to, it is awful! I got the tip to write long RP reply's in word or something that autosaves, so that's what I do now.

I just compulsively copy-paste mine. I paste them into empty browsers if I'm really proud of one, just in case (and if you use chrome, I believe clicking search:v shows you the last five things you copied!)
