I used to not like Jacob, now I just think he was a lost kid with bad manners XD He had his own battles to fight and was just pulled into it when he was way too young, without any sort of preparation. I just don't like how he seems to not know any matters, I don't like charlie either. When Jake kissed Bella, Charlie seemed happy about it, knowing his daughter didn't like Jacob.
