Why would you like to join the club?: Amadea always loved music. From a young age, her parents enrolled her in piano lessons and her love for music grew from there. Finding melodies and harmonies and being able to make such a beautiful piece, especially along with her sister and her cousin, Amadea was amazed at what music could do. Music became her happy place; when she was sad or stressed she would pick up her guitar or head to the piano to relieve her stress. While singing is something that Amadea doesn't usually do outside the confines of her own room, she had made a promise to herself at the end of her third year to step out of her shell more and do more activities. That was why she decided to sign up for the Arts and Orchestral Society -- even if she didn't muster the courage to sing right away, it was a good chance to get to know some new people. Hopefully, Amadea promised herself, she would feel comfortable enough after meeting everyone to try singing in public for the first time.

Why would you like to join the club?: Xailah has always had an interest in the fine arts. Such a thing was expected from a child born to a pureblood family. At a young age her parents tried to introduce music into her life via piano lessons. It had never been her choice to participate- she even resented it at first, but as the years progressed she started to accept the art that had pushed into her lap. Upon entering Hogwarts she found herself missing the piano, as it reminded her of home. She has since gotten over her homesickness (for the most part), and now seeks to dive deeper into the world of art and music. The Arts and Orchestral club seemed to be the perfect place to do just that. Xailah is proficient with the piano, and harp, as well as the violin (however she is still in the process of learning that last one). While she is skilled with instruments, she does have other artistic talents that fall outside of the musical variety, but she doesn't seem to be very vocal about them.

Ana has a deep appreciation for music. While she tends to favor activities that don't require her to be still long, such as Quidditch or ballet, music is still something she enjoys. Her mother has taught her how to sing as well as play several instruments including piano and violin. She enjoys singing but doesn't much fancy playing instruments other than the piano. Additionally, she is nothing if not a supportive best friend and would join Ruby's club for literally anything. Also, here is her singing voice claim just because.

Why would you like to join the club?: [IC reasoning, must be at least 20 words] Simon has always loved music. His mother and aunt both loved music and he heard it throughout his home growing up - whether it was their singing or the radio/albums that they played. He attended Church since a baby and grew up with hearing it there as well and when old enough, was part of the children's choir. When older grades at school had choir, he was part of that. His favorites are older music, especially that of the American cronies like Dean Martin, Bobby Darin, Frank Sinatra. He also loves jazz of all kinds - Charlie Parker, Louis Armstrong, Benny Goodman, Glenn Miller, Tommy Dorsey. From there, he also likes some of the Motown groups from the States and a good assortment of other music.

He's not afraid to get up and dance in front of a group of people or sing. He also plays the piano, guitar, and saxophone. Next, he might want to learn the trumpet although he's not so certain how well he'll do on a horn instrument.

Why would you like to join the club?: [IC reasoning, must be at least 20 words] Henry has learned violin, piano, and voice at a young age but he never had anywhere to play or practice so joining this club will give him that place he needs to meet others also fascinated with music and art like him while giving a place to practice his craft as a musician. Also he loves to read and writes a bit but could be better so by joining he hopes to expand on his writing skills.

Why would you like to join the club?: Her first way of expressing herself was through drawing. The things she saw around her, the things she wanted to see. It was also the medium in which her first showing of her magical ability popped up. Lately she has found that expression in voice. Singing. It's a way for her to express her deepest emotions that she couldn't fully place on white sheets of paper. With the way her angelic voice touched others, she hopes to develop this skill into maybe something she could continue in the future. Into something more.

Why would you like to join the club?: Sarah’s father has always been one for traditions and so learning an instrument was always in her future. From a young age, she was put into piano and violin lessons, quickly becoming quite an accomplished musician for a girl of her age. When she’d turned eight, she’d shown an interest for singing and her mother had quickly put her into lessons for that as well. Her mother had always been her biggest fan until she’d passed. Now, Sarah rarely sings in the company of anyone but herself, the memory of her mother always proving too hard to deal with when in the presence of another.
