Just a new portion of questions.![]()
Firstly, how do we play Quiddich and Broom Races? Is it enjoyful? And are there any restriction (in HP's World 1 year students can't play Quiddich)? And what is Broom Race? I don't remember something like this in the book!
Thanks.
I think everyone already answered the majority of these questions but I also wanted to add one more thing to the mix! Just because you may want to do quidditch, broom racing or dueling, does not mean you get to do them instantly. First, you can only choose to do one of these wizarding sports, you cannot do all of all at once. You can start with one and then if you want to try another one, you have to drop out of the current sport you're in and sign up to be on another one.
And second, you have to sign up in order to be put on the team and even when you sign up that doesn't mean you are automatically on the team. There are only a certain number of members on a team and the rest of the people who sign up for the team are placed on a waitlist. Unless you want a specific position that is open at the time such as if you wanted to be a seeker on the quidditch team and the quidditch team didn't have a seeker yet you would instantly be added to the team.
But if you wanted to be a seeker on the quidditch team and the quidditch already had a first string seeker/second string seeker, you'd be placed on the waitlist for seekers. A waitlist means if someone drops out of the team or is inactive for over a certain period of time, the first person on the waitlist gets bumped onto the team. If there are other people ahead of you on the waitlist that means you'll have to wait until the people ahead of you on the waitlist are placed on the team before you will be on the team. Does that make sense? Hope that helped you out a little!
