I was wondering if there could perhaps be "general corridors" displayed on each floor at Hogwarts aside from just on the second level? This would help with student adventures and even having students chatting among the halls than needing to be in a specific place. Thanks!

Several reasons, but I'll keep this short.
  • That was during the site's initial years, lots of planning and ideas, not necessarily followed through on all accounts.
  • Previous staff that approved that is no longer on site.
  • Initial years and thus lower traffic, currently, we have higher traffic and find no reason to make several forums for what could be made into one.
  • Every added forum increases our moderation responsibilities, thus having several or a single one for each years adds about 7 new forums or if we go by floors, about 5-6 new forums. An unnecessary addition of work.
  • Reiterating my second statement, previous staff approved it and they are no longer on site. The current staff disagrees and would not have approved this to begin with.

There was a brief adventure years ago where a new area was given. Secrets become general areas everyone can access pretty quickly.

The img process is in the midst of a transition by our owner because of the weight of the images is slowing down the site. I have no idea what the process will look like in the end, but they are transitioning from hosted image files (which are heavily weighed) to webp, which are much lighter but also something we can display at higher levels of quality - colors shift and images look yucky due to img compression and we would like less "yuck" (technical term I know).

Not entirely recalling the backrooms here on what's protocol, but wondering if its possible to start having the Index and iNPC Teams have people, when they're approved for it, add their official non-human race to their trunks (the exact names. Ex. Half-Goblin, Werewolf, etc). Or if they're using a plain trunk, just to add it themselves. Its a rare occurence and of course I use critical thinking skills when I look around (like checking their first ency post on their racial status), but sometimes I have to dig as a captain to check the race of players for modding purposes (like their posts in ability applications). It just would be easier if we can just use the player's trunk as a total reference if possible.

I think I can back this ^

Usually when I did index, I tried to say something like 'Werewolf Y1' or something with the race in it because I know I'd get confused. But especially now with the choices, I could see doing something like adding a section for race- ie:

Race: Werewolf (link to registration, even if human)
Abilities: year 1 | year 2 | year 3 | year 4 | year 5 | year 6 | year 7
Stats: Sta NUM | Eva NUM | Str NUM | Wis NUM | Arc NUM | Acc NUM
Adult Log

This way, you will see the race at all times for easy visibility.

Sorry, I wanted to add to this, because I know it is confusing when you have to do extra steps to find what race they are.

Dunno if anybody asked this before but can the owl's format/display be modified to be chained (like e-mail) so the messages from the same recipients added to the same previous later instead of new letter? I understand for it to get a sense of letter itself that one message come by its own, but to put it digitally make it too stacked, and to be afraid, will be burried the message and make it all forgotten

Hello everyone,

I had a bit of time to fix the "Bus Pass" icon as it had the odd white background. To do that, I've worked on the original image. If it doesn't work, I absolutely can do it again, using your preferred image's size:

So, just like we can set a channel to send us a notification if there is a new post, or something similar when we do it for a thread (sends a notification for each post), can there be a reverse option where we can like mute forums? Similar to muting discord channels where the channel is visible, but it doesn't show if it has new notifications or not.
The reason I am asking so is like I want to see if there are new messages in site updates or announcement board but don't want to get a notification for either of them, so can like mute FAQ, Technical Support and Staff Request so that when I am checking the different channels, I see that ok, there's a new message in site information that means it is in announcement board or another channel I didn't set to mute.
In short, something like muting a channel on discord.

You don’t get notified of new posts if you click the bell icon so it is hollow and to see new posts go to preferences and change show unread messages in crest menu to yes
