The official school holidays during which the students can go home include Christmas/Winter, Easter and Summer holidays.
- Winter (2 weeks) — December, 23-January, 5.
- Easter (2 weeks) — March-April (different each year), two weeks of holidays, one on each side of Easter Sunday.
- Summer (2 months) — July, 1-August, 31.

I'm confused because I've been waiting to get into classes and I've been on here for 11 days and I've sent about 30 messages.

Not sure if this is what you mean, but it's the day you were validated rather than the day you signed up so it might be a little different from what you're thinking. It's also the exact time so you might just have to wait a few hours.

They're not currently open, but there should be a post made in your common-room notice board or house notice board forum (if you have one) when they are

In Announcements/General Updates the headmaster/a moderator posts applications when a professor or prefect steps down.

EDIT: what Lucia said also works, when they are asking for a prefect.

We can see your registration date, which was 11 days ago. I don't know when you were validated, but that is when the counter starts. Your report card would open up on your 11th day after validation.

Hover over your profile card in the top right next to the blue quill and a menu should drop down - between 'Chocolate Frogs' and 'Address Book' should be a 'Report Card' option if you've been here for the correct amount of time
