Looking to backdate a thread on the Great Lake for when Thomas arrives. Pretty simple, mostly just looking for someone to chat with him and make idle, nervous conversation on the boat ride. Maybe they can bond about apprehensions surrounding Hogwarts, or perhaps they're excited and a pure/half-blood who is familiar with the wizarding world already. This would make a cool group thread, but one on one also works great

Thomas had left behind a rather important possession of his, his journal, in the Library. Within it are many uncensored thoughts about Hogwarts, and while none are particularly mean-spirited (as he isn't the type), he's expressed a lot of confusion in his writing that he'd be certainly quite embarrassed about. He's the type to want to seem confident and competent at all times, and his journal (should your character choose to read it) would likely reveal that he wasn't quite as competent as he lets on in his coursework. This would work great if your character is also a high-achiever, maybe even a rival of his, or someone otherwise generally aware of his desire to succeed academically.
While this probably wouldn't make a great group thread, perhaps more than one student notices the left-behind notebook and they discuss what to do about its discovery. A sort of quarrel over the morality of opening the journal and reading it or finding its rightful owner could be interesting to explore! If you know someone also interested in the thread, or more than one person owls me about the thread, we can figure it out.

Thomas tends to come off as an arrogant know it all in class. It happens purely by mistake, as he's just excited about knowing the answer, but if he were to be confronted about his potentially annoying behavior, he's likely to dig in his heels and not apologize. Perhaps your character is a high achiever and a rival of Tommy's, sick of him attempting to take the limelight in class. Or maybe your character is just annoyed with him! It's likely that a thread like this may devolve into an argument, and I'd be looking for characters capable of maybe getting a bit heated themselves! This could be an interesting group thread; maybe two characters collectively get fed up with Thomas' actions, and build up the nerve to confront him about it together.

Running Your Mouth - Pureblood Student (Preferably First or Second Year)

Despite being descended from a family of wizards, Thomas was raised predominantly by his muggle mother who had no way of knowing if Tommy would end up a wizard. As a result, the boy can be kind of clueless on the topic of the wizarding world, and no matter how hard he tries to study up it's likely he has made a faux pas or two. Maybe he's said something about purebloods that makes your pureblooded character upset?

Lighten Up! - First Or Second Year Student

Despite being only 12, Thomas is woefully serious and perhaps a bit too mature. He needs someone to help him live a little, to let loose, and to act as a bit of a foil to his overly cautious self! Maybe they can help him get over his fear of flying (after, perhaps, observing him in class struggling a bit to get off the ground), or maybe they can happen upon him looking longingly at a poster for the Duelling Club, and ask him why he's spending so much time staring at it and so little time actually signing up! This could blossom into a general friendship after the first thread, maybe Thomas helps his new friend to not make quite so many impulsive decisions.

Study Buddy - Any

It's obvious from Thomas' body language, the way he sighs languidly, and the way he continuously falls asleep at the table--whatever exam he's studying for, he's not doing well! While Tommy isn't the one to ever admit to needing help, perhaps History of Magic is plaguing him due to his lack of exposure to the wizarding world, and he needs someone to bounce ideas off of in regards to his homework. This character would have to either be particularly stubborn (maybe they sit down across from Thomas even when he tells them that they don't need help) or overly kind (so Thomas feels bad in rejecting their offer for help) to effectively reach out. Or, maybe they themselves are struggling, see Thomas working on similar work, and the two bond over mutual confusion and figure it out together!

Your RPG storyline idea: Ok so- this is going to sound super cringe, I know, but I’m running off of the extreme amount of pixie sticks and hallmark movies I have consumed during the past 24 hours and now for some reason I am deeming it appropriate to try and find my girl- Adlai- a love interest? Why? Because Hallmark...

Additional Info: This is open to literally anyone and if no one takes it, that’s fine. I’ll also probably end up posting this type of post again at some point when I am again running of a bunch of pixie sticks and hallmark movies.
Also sorry for the cruddy writing it is currently 5 Am where I am and I woke up at 3 AM, so I’m still pretty much out of it.
