Updates
Today, lots of little things:
- in the Marauder's map, it is now possible to click on the name of a person to see his profile or on the place to go there;
- the title of the pages (which is displayed in the tabs of your browser) is now reversed: first the name of the subject / place, then the name of the site; this allows to have more meaningful tabs when they are of reduced size;
- the pages for moving or deleting messages, and other confirmations, have been redone;
- resolution of situations in which one could be "stuck" on error messages without being able to go back;
- teachers no longer lose their correction if they have sent it without a note and click on the "back" button;
- messages reporting bugs now have a dedicated icon, allowing you to filter it in unread messages and not to be bothered;
- fixed the display of some animals in the profiles;
- better display of extension options in the admin panel;
- admin panel to allow all moderators to manage the objects available.
Updates
Some recent news:
- administrators can now manage salaries from the admin panel;
- it is now possible for administrators to link items with access to places;
- for teachers, display of a message when there are no more homeworks to correct, or when there are no owls found in the search;
- the site is displayed more nicely in Discord (or Twitter, Facebook...) when someone copies a link (display of the description and an image, except when the subject is not accessible from outside of course);
- fixed a bug that prevented some images from Discord to be integrated in the messages;
- removal of the possibilities to report messages or owls for new registrants not validated, so that they do not harass the moderators to be validated!
Updates
Good evening to all,
On the agenda for the last few days:
On the agenda for the last few days:
- the textures (bricks, floors...) have been refined and realigned to have nicer designs outside Hogwarts;
- better background textures in some pages such as jelly beans or chocolate frog cards;
- administrators can now add and modify background images (an update that was accompanied by a rewrite of the background management);
- the current location (indicated with an arrow) in the top left menu now also appears in stores or courses;
- added small separators to make it easier to find your way around in the top right menu (especially for those who have a lot of options);
- in posts, transformation of images into links when import is not possible.
- better spacing of chocolate frog cards in your collections;
- a surprise! (but it is not yet available, a little patience).

Here are some new features that have been requested for a long time and that will concern the teaching team:
- it is now possible for teachers to access students' report cards and homeworks from their profiles, once they have been corrected;
- teachers can now modify a grade or a correction; this possibility is of course strictly reserved to situations where there would be a material error, and will be archived in the logs; if the grade is modified, the equivalent number of points is added or removed in the hourglass for the current month;
- when an assignment is returned, the comment written by the teacher in the "appreciation" field (which is usually used to write the correction) is automatically sent as an owl to the user; teachers don't have to send the reasons themselves, they just have to write in the usual field and send the copy back;
- some corrections of small display imperfections in courses and assignments.
Updates
And here are a few more little additions in the evening:
- the display of messages in the search has been homogenized with the rest of the site, with display of avatars and information ;
- added new possible animals;
- the buttons under the owls now stay in place when you unroll the previous owls;
- the button to access your account has been renamed and moved down in the top left menu, to avoid confusion with the access to your profile by clicking on the name ;
- better display of assignments on phone;
- moderators can see the date of last activity in the profile;
- for moderators again, a link to the moderation panel is now available in the top right menu;
- fixed incorrect link in some quotes;
- better display of long titles in topics;
- better logs for donating and receiving items.
Updates
It's December! To mark the upcoming holidays, here are some new items (that will come back every year):
- an advent calendar has been offered to you and is waiting for you in the menu on the top right; find each day a little magic treat, hoping to have a little bigger gift on December 24!
- the snow has been redone to be (I hope) prettier; from now on, I differentiate the snow of the Great Hall (which appears only at the top, and falls softly) and the snow of the outside, which falls harder; unlike before, there are no more worries (snow too dense or falling strangely) when the window is resized; administrators can choose where the snow falls with the wallpapers in the admin panel; finally, as usual, the intensity will increase throughout December, and decrease throughout February;
- a little decoration has appeared in Hogwarts: garland and some Christmas trees to mark the season.
Updates
A few small bug fixes and improvements:
A few corrections that affect non-validated players:
- the background image of each place is now preserved when posting, editing or deleting a message, or in the moderation panel;
- fixed the display of profiles on some browsers when text magnification is activated;
- correction of the positioning of hourglasses on some phones or tablets;
- fixed several confirmation messages (especially when sending the assignment) where the "cancel" button did not cancel anything at all;
- when a topic changes its title, the change is applied to all messages;
- display lock on announcements or post-its that are locked.
A few corrections that affect non-validated players:
- fixed a bug that prevented some accounts from being validated if they opened their advent calendar; this resulted in a delay in account validations, sorry to the affected players;
- better display and integration of some pages, and Christmas decorations in particular;
- deactivation of some useless links before account validation (beans, chocolate frog cards, advent calendar...) ;
Updates
Hello everyone,
It's been a long time since I wanted to review the way players' activity data is displayed (last login date, presence on the Marauder's map), and in particular to allow those who wish it not to have this data displayed publicly.
First of all, I thought it was important that everyone can navigate on the site without being seen if they want. For this reason, it is now possible to hide one's presence to the other players (date of last visit, the fact of being online, presence on the Marauder's map), without any object being necessary as it was the case until now. In order to distinguish inactive players, the date of the last message posted in the profile will be displayed in this case. This option is now available in your preferences.
If you choose to hide your presence, you will not be able to see other players' presence or use the Marauder's map. You may change your mind, of course, and the Marauder's map and other players' presence will become visible again within three days.
Please note that this information will remain visible to the administrators and moderators in any case, for needs related to the life and management of the site.
This evolution allows to reactivate, for the other players, the date of last activity whose return was very requested.
Finally, players who owned an invisibility cloak have been reimbursed and it has been removed from their inventory, since it is no longer useful. I'll let the current team decide if it should have a new use, and you can buy it back.
I hope you like these changes and that they allow as many people as possible to enjoy the site.
Some other small changes not directly related to the above:

Some other small changes not directly related to the above:
- the Marauder's map displays hidden users more clearly : their steps appear more clearly so you can see that it is useless to click on them;
- players who owned the undergrounds map have been refunded as it lost its functionality some time ago; you can of course buy it again if necessary, and maybe it will have another use soon;
- fixed problems with the size of various elements on the site that could appear on some browsers with certain pixel resolutions.
Updates
Hello everyone,
I've just spent two days of intense work on the Marauder's map.
First and foremost: there are now small random actions that appear. The goal is to have lots of different interactions possible depending on the location, so that we have something fun.
Go to this collaborative document to help: here! If you speak a little French, participate in the translation of the actions created on the French site in English. Otherwise, feel free to add your own ideas. I'm counting on you, and I'll integrate this into the map as soon as it's finished!

Other improvements:
- the Marauder's map is now integrated in the design of the site, allowing you to navigate more easily ;
- the interaction has been improved both with the mouse (information is displayed on mouse over as before, while being able to click on the name or the place) or on the touch screen (where you can tap on the map to close the displayed information);
- the people reading the encyclopedia are now displayed as being in the library, for more immersion;
- the little animation that makes the steps appear and disappear progressively is back;
- the courtyard now appears distinctly, additions of many other places that appeared in recent months;
- important lightening and simplification of its code;
- only small defect that I will try to solve as I go along: some descriptions that can go off the screen when the steps are close to the edge.
Updates
Due to errors I made while working on the website, I was forced to restore the site database as it was saved last night at 4:00 am UTC+1. This means that all the operations you could perform this morning have been lost. I'm really (really) sorry about that, I really deployed everything I could to avoid this kind of situation.
Double bad luck, the backup system that operates every fifteen minutes was not working (without me knowing why) for a few days, which is why I had to use the secondary daily backup that is performed every night. I'll do my best to make sure that this failure will be corrected and that it will have as little chance as possible to happen again.
