The Hufflepuff Table 2017 - 2018
Harley turned to see James, he seemed to be talking to a few people so he waited. Seeing that James was about to finish his chat, he began to think about what he was going to say.
"Hey James, how has your few months been here".
He seemed to not of heard him, as James continued to talk, feeling a bit weird he decide to get up and talk to Rhea. He sat there speaking to her about the classes and other topics, time passed and he still continued to talk to her. Everyone on the Gryffindor table seemed to like him and accept him. He got up said bye to everyone and went back to the Hufflepuff table. Where James was still talking to people, a seat was free next to him so Harley walked around the table and took a seat. Hearing not much of the conversation but a few words hear and there, with their last words given Harley tapped James as he turned around Harleys words were stuck in his throat.
"Hey James, how has your few months been here".

Lizabeth came hesitantly over to the table. Phew. She was late this morning. There were already so many people here.
She tugged her robe up over her shoulder and started walking with her cane. She wished that the table was closer to the door. As it was, this school was so huge and it was hard for her to get around. She liked the comforts of elevators like the ones in London that she got to use when she was with her dad. Why did wizards like stairs so much???
She took a seat where there happened to be a space, right by Harley and James. She hoped that maybe she would make friends here but she had been having trouble so far. She helped herself to some oatmeal and went to add some fruit and accidentally dropped a strawberry on Harley's robe.
"Ah! I'm so sorry," she said quickly. She was so clumsy. Always dropping things and making a mess of herself. Ah well. He hoped that the boy wouldn't be mad. It was just a mistake after all.
She was such a mess. How was she ever going to fit in and make friends in this place after all?

Harley looked over towards the girl who took a seat next to him, she began to reach for the food straight away. Grabbing some oatmeal and fruit, not before she dropped a strawberry on his robe. He looked over towards her, "Ah! I'm so sorry." She seemed to be really sorry, he just nodded and grabbed some of his own food.
He grabbed so of the food off his plate, shoving most of it in his mouth. He turned to see the girl clearly wanted to say something, or rather have a chat. Waiting for himself and her to finish their food on the plate. Shoving the last part of the food inside his mouth, chewing and swallowing the last part of the food. He then turned towards the girl next to him. "Hi, I am Harley. Who are you?." Stretching out his hand to shake her hand.

Lizabeth smiled nervously and hesitantly took his hand. "Lizabeth Leino or Liz or Liza or whatever you want to call me is fine," she responded shyly. "I'm in your class I think. It's nice to meet you, Harley. Sorry I'm still getting used to all.... this," she explained, gesturing vaguely, looking around at the great hall. Everyone seemed to be in their own little worlds, chatting while they ate, hardly paying much attention to their surroundings.
She hoped that he would understand and accept her rough attempt at an apology. She really did just want to fit in. "Um.." she started to attempt. "So being a hufflepuff is cool right?" she offered. Wow she was such a joke. No wonder she couldn't make friends. Her face felt hot as it seemed like people must be laughing at her even though she didn't hear any such thing.
Maybe she should just go. THough she was hungry... ugh. She looked down at her bowl of frumpy oatmeal. Welp. Maybe she should just start eating? she thought as she took a bite. At least the food here always tasted good.
She slowly worked on eating her breakfast as she planned her escape out of here to save herself from more embarrassment.

Michelle came down from the stool overjoyed. She couldn't stop herself from smiling and as she sat down beside some first years and her smile only grew at the sight of all the wonderful food. "Wow, what is this stuff?!" she began piling all sorts of food on her plate. I am so glad my parents allowed me to come here! This food is so good! I wish they were here to see all this, and with that thought, she began to feel a little homesick, yes all the new stuff was exciting and she was happy but she couldn't help feeling upset that her family wouldn't get to experience all this amazing stuff or that she would barely get to see them.
Michelle began trying to eat to push away the saddening thoughts but when she looked around the great hall and she realized she also knew nobody and was terribly alone in this new world, she would give anything to have her brothers with her. She began to sniffle with tears forming in her eyes, one making a quick exit before she wiped it away furiously and shook her head. No you will not be sad, this is exciting and amazing and they would hate to see you upset. You'll just have to send owls every week and bring home some chocolate frogs to share with them during Christmas, and you'll see them every summer. It's going to be okay.
Michelle breathed carefully to calm herself, plastered a smile on her face and focused on the amazing dinner. Everything was going to be okay.

The Hufflepuff Table 2017 - 2018
As soon as Grant was sorted, he saunters over to the Hufflepuff table, and scanned for an empty spot on the wooden seats, his eyes scanning all over the students and the table. Finally, after approximately ten seconds, his decision is now done. He hurried over to the spot before anyone would notice his prolonged stance, which is standing around, scrunched up against the tables, and his right hand rubbing his pointed chin.
Then, again his tree-like body would make it impossible for anyone to not notice, as he thought sitting, "Hopefully, nobody here will mention it..." he assured himself, then he looked up at his neighboring badgers.
As far as he can see, his Hufflepuff chaps seems to vary each other in different ways, but all were wearing their black roles as it is meant. Without digging too deep into the details, he decided to watch the ceremony play out, and watch as every student gets sorted.
With every sort, Grant would clap, it was a welcoming gesture that he felt was deserving of everyone, a sing of friendliness and welcoming, he'll might say. Even with the most snotty or the more strange kind of students, he can always be seen clapping after their turn is over, no matter the looks and glances he might receive from his gestures. Throughout the ceremony, a slight smile is implanted onto his narrow face, congratulating every sorted person with a smile, and a thumbs up when someone is sorted into Hufflepuff.
As the ceremony concludes, he turns back to his front, towards the table, and waited for food to arrive. Suddenly, in the blink of the eyes, the food appeared right there on the table, fresh and cooked. Grant would jump back from this sight, not expecting such a quick service in this castle, of course this is magic that's happening right now. A feast was prepared for everyone in the Great Hall, with their enticing smell, and appearance, several drools, and stares of hunger were to be seen. Grant stared at the delicacies, his mouth watering as he looks at the textures, and imagined their taste. Before he can think right, he was already shoving a piece of pork chop into his mouth, its meaty goodness being chewed up by his teeth. Luckily for everyone near him, he was eating with a closed mouth, though occasionally noisy.
After he finished with a couple of meals, he felt his stomach had enough of the foods despite what his brain says about that. Deciding that it's probably best for his health to stop engorging himself with so much food, he set aside his plate, and waited for the feast to end. From the views of outside, his face seems satisfied, relaxed, but yet thoughtful. He seems to be thinking about something for his hands were rubbing his chin, caressing the pointed edge with his eyes pointed up to the ceiling, and his eyebrows furrowed. Whatever he is doing, he seems relatively occupied with himself, but his eyes do sometimes glance at some of his fellow soon-to-be wizards, perhaps not entirely focused.

The Hufflepuff Table 2017 - 2018
Admittingly, Errel had not expected to be sorted into Hufflepuff, not that she had minded, but both her mother and father had been sorted into Gryffindor, the same was for her grandparents, and their parents and everyone else in the family, of course, this wasn't including her cousin Rhys who had been sorted into Ravenclaw and never failed to mention it whenever he was in their company. Her whole life was brought up seeing the prideful gold and red colours of the house and being told "You'll make a proud addition to Gryffindor," whenever she did something good. Well now she was a Hufflepuff, and that didn't seem bad, not bad at all. Sure her smile might've faltered for a heartbeat when the sorting hat had yelled out Hufflepuff rather than her family's house, but as soon as she laid eyes upon the smiling faces looking at her with bright eyes she felt beyond excited. There was nothing wrong with being a Hufflepuff.
Scurrying towards the table, she gave small and polite nods to anyone who made eye contact with her as she flopped down onto the long wooden bench with an ungraceful plop. With eager eyes, she glanced around the room, her breath being stolen by the absolute wonder it was. She had heard about the Great Hall over a million times by her Maimeó, but the story didn't do the room justice; was their even a ceiling over their heads or was that the real sky- Errol couldn't tell no matter how hard she studied the stars twinkling over her head.
Pulling her thoughts was the applause for a student who had ended up in Ravenclaw, absentmindedly Errol clapped along, her green eyes still gazing above her as she slowly turned her head to the front of the hall where the sorting was being done. Finally, her attention was pulled completely forward as she began to clap her own hands, joining the rest of the students as they cheered on the newly sorted first years. Errol made sure to cheer extra loud when a new Hufflepuff joined the table, filling the area around her with a loud shout of excitement. Already Errol was having the time of her life and the school year hadn't even really started for them yet.
By the time the last of the students were sorted into their house, Errol's hands were a blistering red, but her pale cheeks flush with excitement- she wondered if this was how every school was. Being homeschooled, Errol never got the chance to experience the wonders of going to school and she strongly believed she would never regret not going, until now. As she cheered on the nameless kids who happened to be joined up with her, Errol couldn't help but feel like they were now friends, even if she had failed to talk to them yet. They were now all on the same team; team Hufflepuff!
Turning her body back to the table, Errol nearly choked as food spontaneously spawned in front of her in mouth-watering heaps of everything one could imagine. If every meal was like this then Errol was going to surely put on the extra weight her Maimeó constantly told her she needed in order to grow. Eagerly she began to fill her plate over and over again, leaving not even a crumb behind as she stuffed her stomach until she felt like it would pop like a balloon. Yet even then she reached for a tiny bit more until she was positive she would fall into a food coma later that night. Sighing with satisfaction, Errol slouched forward, her stomach full and her eyelids heavy. All around her students continued to enjoy their dinner and converse with one another.
Glancing around, it was then that Errol noticed the tall boy towering next to her, his head slightly tilted up as he gazed at the ceiling- surely he was just as amazed by it as she was, leaning towards him she smiled. "It's amazing, isn't it," she beamed at him, raking her traitorous red curls out of her face so she could better see the boy. Whipping the grease off of her left hand, she quickly offered it to Gray Grant. "I'm Errol by the way!"

The Hufflepuff Table 2017 - 2018
"That's a really nice ceiling, quite splendid," as Grant would remark for no particular reason other than for a joke, with his mouth curled upwards towards what is supposed to be the ceiling, but is something much more fantastic in actuality. In the landscape of his mind, filled with concepts and ideas that goes beyond the boundaries of logic and rationality, what with its place of amalgamations of several creatures Grant had seen throughout his relatively recent life, and numerous made up structures that are mashed up with distinct materials to form a building, if you can even call it that, one example has multiple of layers of various materials stuck together, a satellite department complex on top of steel walls, with grass roots slithered across its cold, yet durable alloy.
Hidden through all these fantastical rabble, there stood a side of Grant's inner self that would sometimes look upon the more "dreamy" aspect of Grant, and generate mocking jeers based on his frequent observance of the environment and comments. A way to poke fun at himself for a good chuckle, without digging too deep into the unfortunately present cesspool of anxiety, and stress.
With such a perception that so favors busy spontaneous thoughts, there's no wonder why Grant would still keep staring into the sky lit ceiling when the red-haired girl tried to introduce herself to him. It took a good ten seconds before Grant receives an itching feeling pushing itself onto his back, sending him small, yet constant waves of warning echoing through his body, a warning signalling a presence right next to him. As he realizes just how dumb he looks right now, he whirled his entire body to whoever was talking, with fast, quivering movements that made Grant's whirl look like a constant blur.
Embarrassingly enough, Grant turned around to the wrong direction, he gasped in horror when he instead saw the back of another student, thinking he has just successfully made himself the biggest dork that everyone in the planet Earth has ever witnessed, then with the even more dramatic quivering turn-around, he finally faced Morgan eye to eye.
His eyes depicting the coolness of the ocean during the day (Ironically of his first name), met the eyes that would fit along with the flora of the forest, but unlike what might the ocean may evoke, his eyes were instead flooded with a tense, but nervous aura the shine and the slight wideness was unlike the thoughtful, and relaxed version you would see just about earlier. His pupils were almost dilated fully, though slightly lowering itself overtime. His smile was practically reaching for the stars, his cheeks fully fleshed out, and a slight lip throb. Grant's fingers would slowly pressure downwards on his other hands, pushing the soft skin down as his appendages pushes as if his hand was trying to scrape something sticky off.
The rest of the body was almost perfectly straight, albeit stiff, it showcased his tall height in its full glory, it can be seen that there were scarce layers that extends themselves outwards, making his arms and legs almost branch like. His entire head was positioned at Morgan's body, his chin pointing at the fine wood below, a bulge on the top of his neck, and his hair strands alike to that of a whole colony of squiggly lines that is of a length shorter than his shoulders. Below his eyes are faint, semicircles with as a vibrancy as a conditioned penny.
"Oh... Uh.... Hello there," as he spoke under a quiet volume, in addition, one can notice sudden increases in certain parts of his sentence. He reaches out to shake hands with Errol's recently hand wiped hands, when then a shooting spell that immediately froze his chest and hand, his eyes would closely examine the slight greasiness of Morgan's hand, rapidly switching from one direction to another. He would gradually retract his hand, and stared wide-eyed at Morgan's hand.
"Oh sorry, I see that you got a little grease on your... On your hand, mind if we just have an imaginary one?" Grant would gingerly request, his lips tightly close into a slight smile, and eyes peering into Morgan with sincerity, and a hint of innocence. His body would relax the statue like posture of itself as it went simultaneously with his words.

The Hufflepuff Table 2017 - 2018
Errol startled a little at the sudden movement as the boy she greeted first turned away from her- a mistake -before turning to face her in one quick movement she had not been expecting. When he spoke, it was quiet for such a tall boy and it was easy to tell he hadn't quite grown into it as his words were nearly slurred together at certain times, but Errol didn't mind, she wasn't one to judge, instead, she offered him a polite toothy grin that lacked any nervousness. Hopefully, if he saw her at ease and comfortable, he would feel the same instead of looking like a coil ready to spring at any given moment.
Following his flickering gaze towards her own hand, she couldn't help but let out an embarrassed chuckle, she had failed to wipe off all of the grease on her hand, which Gray pointed out dutifully as he offered to shake imaginary hands. Like a snake striking, Errol's hand quickly drew back to her body as she sought out a napkin she had tucked away into the folds of her robe. "Sorry 'bout that," she mumbled as she looked down at her robe and searched for the napkin she could've sworn she had. Seeing the glimpse of white against her clothing's black she smiled and hissed out a quiet yes to herself as she grabbed ahold of it and cleaned her hands.
"So, whats your name?" she asked, attempting to flare up the conversation.

The Hufflepuff Table 2017 - 2018
"Ah, my name is Gray Grant," he grabbed held of Morgan's hand, and tried to gave it a firm handshake, but the most he could manage was a moderate tightness around her hand, not nearly enough to demonstrate a strong sense of confidence. Keeping on his slight smile, he tilted his narrow head towards Morgan's face, and asked back, "Errol Morgan, it's a pleasure to meet you. " His eyelids enclosed his cool eyes, its slight wideness disappeared.
The tone of his voice is now at an even level throughout his sentences, the quietness of the inflection has now transformed into a more confident, calm articulation, in which his speech in all of its form can now be understood clearly to Morgan. He unsheathed his hand, now a more gradual, graceful retraction compared to earlier, from Morgan's, and adjusted his body to a more comfortable position. While it was still straight, his back was slightly leaning on the table behind him, and his torso was slightly lifted down, forgoing its former upright stiffness. The branches for his appendages attached from the sides of his torso crossed each other, with the right elbow supporting itself via the edge of the table. The blue ocean in the irises of his eye, faced its own end of the storm, inducing an easygoing aura as the rampant, violent shifts of behind decreases in their frequency, until a full calm conduct is achieved.
The tall giant himself was reassured when he saw that Morgan didn't displayed any signs of ill judgement at his idiosyncrasies, knowing this, he felt his body unclasping from the former statue it was, its forced uprightness letting go along with these feelings of relief. Fitting with his now relieved state of mind, the seemingly never ending whirlpool that acted as the center headquarters for the most toxic of emotions, shrunk down into a miniature cone that dug downwards into a dismal pit far away from everything else. Almost as simultaneously as the cesspool's defeat, the gloom of the clouds were subsided by the golden sun's healing light as it shined its radiant glow on the muddied land, regenerating the wounds left by the quake from the ever growing hurt. Refreshed and content, Grant's smile would appear genuine for his eyelids tighten around its neighboring organ, and the grin stretched naturally.
As his forward gaze lock on to the red-haired, a new relay travels from the pupils of his eyes, and into the entrance of his brain, while containing information on what has been observed from the girl so far. Thoughts swarmed like bees in Grant's thought process, the girl held a friendly demeanor, has shown little to no judgement of others, albeit maybe a little messy, but this girl was good news to him, for she was a person that seemed willing to have a nice conversation with him, despite his earlier quirks in behavior. Grant can already tell that Morgan is going to be a friend or at the very least, a trusted acquaintance that he can easily communicate with on a daily basis.
