Clair rolled her eyes, "Yeah sure, I'll take lessons from the pro at being smooth."
Clair raised a eyebrow, "She's not intimating, not she is just smart, I mean how was I supposed to know that the head of Ravenclaw told everyone he was a dhampir? Dudeeeee it was a very unfair question" if Simon could not tell Clair was still not over the whole thing, not even close to being over it.
"i forgot you don't like food" she said, meaning it as a joke, "Because most people would have finished their food by now" she herself bad just finished her sandwich, now she would just need to stay seated for 20 more minutes before heading off again.
She rolled her eyes again, playfully, "Yes Kincaid, I know. I don't know what I'll do, maybe I'll teach, like at Hogwarts, or maybe I'll work at the ministry of magic, who knows, i just know I'm not going to work as a muggle, nor will I marry a muggle, Muggle life will be limited, I know that I'll have a small farm, this will be Belle's farm once Mum passes it one, which she claims will be only when she is dead, so I'd guess at least 40 more years until it's Belle's hopefully"
She looked at Simon "What about you Dhampir boy?"

"Man, I'm just curious about future endeavors and you've got your living situation and WHO all thought out," he laughed. Well, not COMPLETELY all thought out, she just said she would want to live on a farm but not where - and she said she didn't want to marry a muggle, but not who.

Simon gave it a moment to try and think what his life would look like if someone paused this moment as if a video and fast forwarded it to after Hogwarts. "Me? I don't know, really. I think working with dragons would be cool but I know sometimes when taming them they use unethnical means and I'd never want to be a part of that. But yeah, something with dragons. Maybe study them or something." He couldn't see like working at a rehab facility to actually help them. Clair was helping him see that tending to animals wasn't really so much his thing. "Or you know, maybe not something with dragons but they are the coolest possible creature ever." Even more so than some of the other magical beasts he had learned about in reading some of the books. Care of Magical Creatures wasn't a class until one became a Third Year at Hogwarts, so he had to do some research on his own to learn about other creatures within the wizarding world. They were brilliant, some even absolutely fascinating - but dragons were still king. No matter what.

"I'll probably still live in London. I honestly can't imagine living anywhere else. And knowing about the magical world now - Diagon Alley is RIGHT there and the Ministry and St. Mungos. You know, for when a dragon bites off my left arm or something," he smiled.

"And I'd marry a muggle or a witch. Doesn't matter to me," Simon said. "I can see myself being the type that marries like right out of school. Somewhere around eighteen or twenty at the latest." Which was kind of crazy, but it's the way he saw it. Hell, he was 'unofficially' married right now at 12! "And we'd have like seven kids or something like that. Maybe more." He could honestly see around twelve but something about that just didn't seem like something you told someone - even if they were your best friend.

"not Who, just what i want that WHO to be like" she mused, she thought for a moment, and then listened, Al of the sudden she laughed "So your gonna have 7 million kids, and life in a small itty bitty house with no grass? Bud your going to be burried, Mum says that the three of us on 300 acres is still crowding her, and she loves people." Clair smiled, "Why not your right arm or leg?" She asked with a cheeky grin,
Clair smiled, "I went to London once, it was crowded busy, loud, not nice.
How do you sleep? Cars all night, honking their horns, the weening calves don't even get that loud at night!" She sighed, "And the worse part was that i was forced to go...." As she sat there there thinking about that trip she wondered if Simon found it hard on the farm "Do you find it hard? Not being pushed and yelled at, the cars not honking? The darkness of no street lights?"
To be honest Clair would never ever be able to live in the city, "if you loved someone, would you do anything for them? Even move into the country for them? It's a game of give and take, but i think i would need green grass and rolling fields to look at..."

Hey now, he didn't say seven million but he did smile because Clair knew him so well. He said seven or more, but really, he thought twelve was a really great number. Still, seven, twelve, or seven million...something about a family being in a small cozy townhouse seemed warm, loving.It sounded perfect.

"It can't be my right arm Clair, I'm right handed. All my wonderful talents would be lost to the world if I lost my dominant hand. Even the dragon would know that," he shook his head like Clair should know these things.

"You know, I've heard people get used to their surroundings. Like if you lived near train tracks, you'd eventually not even realize it when a train is coming thorough. Could be the middle of the night and they'd sleep right through it. It's actually a little odd out here," he said and glanced around at the area around them, the trees and the stream. "I'm used to traffic sounds and people talking as they walk by," he shrugs. "I guess we get desensitized to it. As for sleep, I've got a hell of a lot of trouble with that - always have. My poor mother and my poor aunt when I was little," he shook his head. "They didn't want to leave me unsupervised but I only sleep about every three or four nights and even then it's maybe for four hours?" There was a reason he was so good at playing the guitar and piano at twelve.

She rolled her eyes "Well I'm sure that the dragon would know that if it even dared to touch you, it would be dealing with a angry Ravenclaw." She laughed, but she knew it was true, she would risk her life for him, she knew that.
"well, I mean we can ween some calves tonight if you want noise." She teased, getting up she smiled "Ready to roll? These horses are getting fatter by the second, don't want them to flounder"
She brushed off her bottom, checked Blaze's girth to make sure it was not loose, and then untied Blaze and mounted, Blaze seemed to realized that the time of stuffing his face was over, with a snort he shook his head.
"make sure to check her girth, or you might go for a nice slip!" She warned with a grin "I have forgotten before, it is not fun!" She pointed to her elbow, "Almost broke this baby, not fun really"
The girl moved around a bit in the saddle "Do you need a leg up? Are you a shorty pants?" She teased, "And by the way, I think you should sing, you can do Guitar, and if you lost your hand, you would not be able to do that, but you could still sing, the only way to loose your singing ks to loose your head!"

"A dragon could probably help with that too," Simon projected. True, so good thing the boy wouldn't eventually end up being a dragon tamer or working with dragons at all. Nope, he would have a different career entirely.

Not really sure what the girth really was or if it was tightened, he checked the similar area Clair had done and figured - well, that it was good enough. He then got on, just fine, and the two began their walk again. So far, his favorite experiences on the Fernandez Farm was meeting Cinnamon and parading around all cool like with her, and the horse ride. Spark was being quite nice and while he wasn't going to have any ambitions on being a cowboy from the wild west ever in his life, at least he'd be able to say that he had ridden a horse before. Gabe couldn't say that back in London, or Oliver. Heck, Mia Anderson probably never even had been on a horse!

Soon they had looped around, probably a good amount of the farm and were headed back. Simon was rather glad for it honestly because he knew his legs would hurt and the sun was already getting to him a little. "What amazing animal is next?" he said, somewhat sarcastically but somewhat not. This farm experience hadn't turned him into an animal lover, but he truly did love seeing Clair's passion for her farm and the animals on it.

As they finished their ride Clair heard Simon ask what amazing animal next,
"well, we can do Cows or Chickens." She was hoping to do the Cows first, seeing as the chickens were evil and might make Simon not like the farm.
"But first we have to untack, and put the horses out to graze." She thought for a moment "Well Grazing is a bad idea, because if they graze they might flounder, they are too chubby!" She patted Blaze, even if they were pretty fit, Clair knew they could get fat very quick.
"enjoying the ride?" She asked.

After they came back to the barn Clair quickly untacked Blaze, and then helped Simon, should he need it, to untack Spark.
"I'm gonna put the bridles and saddles away, want to brush them and pick out their hooves? And then we can put them away and visit the cows, you can walk one if you want." She offered, to let someone walk her calf was a honor, hopefully he would try, "The cattle barn bad no sunlight either, so you won't burn to a crisp" that was one thing that Clair would hate to happen, Simon getting Sunburned would bring up questions in the house, and that was not what she wanted.

"Is walking a cow easier than walking with Cinnamon?" Granted, his girl Cinnamon got easier once she learned to like and trust him, but he still wasn't quite sure about this. A cow was bigger than a goat; one didn't really need to know farm animals well to know that.

Honestly, Simon was rather glad that they were going to be visiting the cows and get out of the sun. She didn't want him burnt because there might be questions but he already had been out far too long. He knew he would be a little exceptionally red and he wondered if it would spark concern. "You know, by the time dinner rolls around uh...I know you said your mum likes everyone at the table. Strict rule, strict timing.... you uh, you think you might be able to help me? I think I will be pretty red by then and uh, it's not my thing, but maybe you'll have some makeup to help cover it up? Or borrow from Belle?"

Lord, was he really asking for Clair to give him a makeover? Kinda. Sorta.

At least it was for a good reason! No reason to freak her mum out who was already apprehensive of the entire wizarding world! She didn't need to know her daughter was best friends with a half vampire! ...But something told him he wasn't ever going to hear the end of this.

Clair thought for a moment, "maybe, if the cow behaves, which my girl always does!"
She grinned, in truth Jet was not the best Calf, yet the calf was respectful at the same time, she was a cow, not a human or goat.
When Simon asked about makeup Clair almost died, "Oh My Gosh, this is going to be so much fun!" She said, Simon might not have had the same idea as Clair, but she was still excited to do it, "I'll ask Belle, she should not care, i mean she'll understand she had a dhampir friend, so.... Yeah, this will be so fun!"
The Ravenclaw girl grinned, "Izzy wears make up, Belle sometimes does, only when your boy friend is over though, and I've only tried it once." The way she said Boy friend showed how much she hated him, Clair would die before she would touch that num skull that Belle had somehow fallen head over heels in love with, and that was a fact!
"Ready for some cow-ies!"she asked clapping her hands together, "I mean that is really not a question is it? Everyone loves cows, even vegans" she smirked, "fern was Vegan, and she was a huge fan of the cows"

Simon just watched Clair with a clueless expression. One, she seemed a little too eager about the makeup thing. It was coverup, that was all! And then she brought up how everyone loved cows, including vegans and Fern. Who was Fern? Did he dare ask?

"Clair, you like these animals a little too much," he explained when she mentioned the term 'cow-ies' and just shook his head. Well, truly, wasn't everyone that way with the things they liked? Clair probably hated it when he went on tangents about music.

"I haven't been ready for any of this," he said truthfully, but still getting up and prepared to follow Clair wherever it was on that farm she might lead him. Cows, chickens, turkeys, salamanders, tigers, unicorns. Not that she'd have all that stuff, but he was following her.

It sort of made him wonder if this was what Care of Magical Creatures class was going to be like at Hogwarts - just with magical creatures instead of farm animals. He could see an adult Clair, after graduating Hogwarts, becoming such a profession. Professor Fernandez, teaching Care of Magical Creatures at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. She would have a whole assortment of different animals in which were in her care, along with all the regular farm animals that could cross over into some Muggle Studies classwork.
