English errors and spelling mistakes
(All fifth year spells)

Should be "as long as the target has a mind to be confused" instead of had

Should be "The effects can be cleared with the Boil-Cure Potion" and not could. Also, is it not the Cure for Boils, and not the Boil-Cure Potion?

Should be "that can be directed at a target" instead of could
Edits made.
The wiki did boil-cure in the article but I am fine editing it to Cure for Boils.

Issues and potential problem points and minor improvements in wording for spell shops
Year 1
- Sauce-Making Spell (Condimentum) -- A transfiguration spell that produces sauce.
Problem: Sauce is vague enough to be misused by rules-lawyers. Can this be used by vampires to meet their needs for example?
- Dancing Feet Charm (Tarantallegra) -- Makes a target's legs spasm wildly out of control, making it appear as though they were dancing. It works on both living and inanimate targets, as long as the target has legs.
Problem: This doesn't follow the same style of description as the others; would recommend "A charm that makes a target's legs spasm wildly out of control, making it appear as though they were dancing. It works on both living and inanimate targets, as long as the target has legs." for consistency
- Sneezing Hex (Steleus) -- Steleus is a hex that causes the victim to sneeze for a short period of time
Problem: This doesn't follow the same style of description as the others; would recommend "A hex that causes the victim to sneeze for a short period of time" for consistency
- Inconsistency is the wording of Transfiguration spells. Some say this transforms a [item x] into a [item Y] e.g. matchstick to needle, while others use plural. This could be read as one transforming ONE item to ONE item, while another transforming multiple items (say 5) into multiple items (say 600) e.g. mice to snuffboxes
That was not quite was I was looking for, but good point. I made some updates in terms of singular use despite the plural being sometimes used even in the name of the spell or wiki because Rowling did not write these spells with PVP or PVE in mind. - Lear

Year 2
- Colorvaria and Multicorfors both being the same spell type, cost, and year makes Multicorfors strictly worse and basically obsolete
- Disarming Charm (Expelliarmus) -- PREREQUISITE: YEAR 2. Charm that forces what an opponent is holding to fly out of their hand.
Should be "A charm that..."
- Fur Growing Spell (Furrure Cresco)
In line with established precedent "Curse of the Bogies", name should be Fur Growing Curse. Same for - Tongue-Tying Curse instead of - Tongue-Tying Spell (this one is called the Tongue-Tying Curse on the HP wiki as well)
- Slug-Vomiting Charm (Slugulus Eructo) -- A curse that forces the victim to vomit slugs.
Misclassified as curse when it's a charm.
- Weather-modifying Charm Variant (Meteolojinx) -- A Weather-Modifying Charms that causes a localized storm.
-- should be Charm, not charms
Problem with plurals in transfiguration continues -- e.g. Worm-Conjuring Spell (Vermiculus)
A transfiguration jinx used to transform things into worms. -- does this transform a couple of clips into several hundred worms?
I have no power over when Colorvaria and Multicorfors are taught and their canon use, but I would suggest that the style change on multicorfors makes that spell superior for attire and colorvaria superior for general use.
Added A to Disarming.
Fur-Growing and Tongue-Tying were based off of what we had for our spell list. But, sure. I should note, my resources do not mark the fur growing spell as a curse. This spell had very limited information. and the Tongue tying Spell is stated in the description in the wiki as being both the tongue tying spell and curse link
The Slug vomiting charm is categorized as a curse, here is evidence.
The worm charm actually uses the statement "Vermiculus was the incantation of a transforming jinx used to transfigure things into worms." Link I'll just make it a 1:1, but I went off the reference material.
Made some updates. Bounty given.

Year 3
- Fish Transformation Spell (Piscifors) -- A transfiguration spell that transforms a target into a fish.
Problem: has room for abuse. Transforming a building into a fish? Another player?
There really is no space in the descriptive text for a clear statement of things something can be used for. I will place an arbitrary limit of 5 kg or 11 pounds. But I really do not have space to do more.
- Lumos Maxima and Lumos Duo taught without Lumos in previous years. Lumos Duo Strictly worse than Maxima and therefore obsolete (would recommend changing the price or reducing to a lower year)
Actually missed this on adding prerequisites.
- Singing Jinx (Cantis) -- A charm used to make the target break out in song.
Charm misclassified as jinx
I believe that was how it was listed in the spell listing we had on site, but according to the wiki you are right.
- Window Shattering Spell (Finestra) -- A charm that shatters glass.
Is this all glass (e.g glasses used for drinking, lenses in looking glasses, etc.) or just the glass of window-panes? What about windows that have plastic/other material for their panes?
Glass as in glass. Not plastic that looks like glass, not crystals that look like glass. I'm not sure how to rephrase this.
So yes, drinking glass if made from glass. not from crystal or plastic.
Yes, glasses, made from glass.
Yes, glass as a window pane.
Not things that look like glass or could be described as "glassy"
I would not be able to fit all of this into a descriptor. This is the sort of thing that needs to be written with the spell information.

Year 5
- Buffalo Conjuration Spell (Sianto) -- A transfiguration spell that summons a buffalo.
Due to there being a summoning spell, "summon" here may cause confusion; and other conjuring spells have used the word "conjuring" instead of "summoning"
Sure
- Freeze! Spell (Freeze) -- A charm that causes ice to spread over limbs touching a hard surface, affixing them to this surface.
Misplaced exclamation mark, I think?
Nope, that weird placement is where it is on the spell list too. It comes from a card reference link.
- no consistency between duo spells (e.g. Incendio duo, Herbivicus Charm II, and Freezing Spell Duo)
That was how I found them in our spell list on site. I just made them all Duo since I can found them all referenced that way in the wiki. However it was written this way because we have the issue of having several 'freezing' spells on site: Freeze!, Freezing Spell, and Freezing Charm, if we were to reduce this to Freezing it would not align with the prerequisite Glacius. The best I can do is either maintain this or no longer call this the freezing Spell but simply Glacius.
I will change them all to Glacius from bottom up because the other option would just contribute to confusion.
- Pimple Jinx (Furnunculus) -- A curse that causes a person to break out in boils/pimples. The effects can be cleared with the Cure for Boils potion.
Misclassified as curse
Actually both jinx and curse are the correct classification, Reference Link. The best i can do for you is place both.

- Caught! (Vincio) -- A transfiguration spell that causes nearby surfaces to transform into restraints that could surround a caster's intended target causing them to be immobile.
Misplaced exclamation point, I think?
Another trading card spell. Link
- Emancipare (Emancipare) -- A charm that releases bindings. This spell acts as a counter-charm to Fulgari, Brachiabindo and the Incarcerous Spell.
No name to the spell given, one the incantation, twice; as is the case for Fulgari and Herbifors and Langlock and Orbis. This would be fine, but is a break in implementation from Fianto Duri and Vulnera Sanentur, where it was not repeated in brackets
That is because we keep adding the () around repeats because people keep asking for them... adding these ones too.
- Lovebird to LoveNote (Amoris Charta)
Missed space in Love Note
Sure
- Shock Spell (Inpulsa) -- A healing spell used at St Mungo's to treat mental illness by shocking the patient.
I am unsure if this can be classified as a "healing spell"
It was described in the wiki as: The Shock Spell (incantation unknown) was a healing spell used at St Mungo's, that was presumably used to treat mental illness by shocking the patient.[1] Link

Now that the initial rush is over, I'm going back through, mainly just tense changes. I'm very sorry for giving you more work, but I really don't know how specific to be here, I'm trying to stick to purely parallelism or direct grammatical errors. Note: There are more instances of "could" than "can"; however, because of the wording and the optionality of the outcome of the spells, they are arguably enough in the present tense for it to probably not be worth your time to change.
