╚═══════════*.·:·.☽✧ ☠ ✧☾.·:·.*═══════════╝mentions Team White, Team BlackJohannes dashed forward to the cell directly in front of Alexei, fully intending to take the cover for the White team's queen. He had just crossed over to the area when his legs were suddenly taken out from under him as he started to rise up, his many layers of dark clothing carrying him airborne in a demonstration of the levitation charm. To make things worse, as Johann rose into the air, still a smokey victim of the hot fire crawling up his sleeve that flickered at the sudden change of airway, a very familiar bolt of light that had just struck him made its way toward the very person he had jumped a cell to defend. Time was running out, and fast. If they could just hold out for a bit more, maybe they could settle for half-a-defeat-made-draw instead of being completely wiped out. Just a bit more.WC 149Action: Doing as strategised.

Chess Combat, Game 2
It was the final countdown. She was happy as hell that she managed to survive this challenge intact. Now she could only hope that she could still land her attack on her target. The last thing she wanted to do was not be able to hit her target, but even if she didn't, at least her team would go out with pride that they didn't all get knocked out. They could do this.
She could do this.
She could do this.

Chess Combat, Game TWO
Team Black secured the victory beforehand and decided to keep it cool and not destroy the other team entirely — dodging was a smart move, though, considering that they wouldn't have wanted to get hit in the last round, or worse.
While Bridget failed to continue holding Johannes in the air, Karilyna broke her own spell connection and shot a strong Flipendo, which reached Johannes just a second before he fell down to the ground. Alexei, who was floating for a while, managed to send a spell Erik's way, but he missed as the Levitation Charm was interrupted and he fell to the ground right next to Johannes.
Raine didn't want to surrender, so she bravely for until the very end, trying to set a certain witch on fire. Trying hard, while Johannes sent a bright sparks spell into himself, cutting himself from any source of vision. It would require time to get it back up.
Evanore was still laughing from being tickled. But both her and Alexei were actually not feeling too well, probably. The spell was reaching its climax and those two required immediate medical help.
As the time hit half an hour, Meenauh cleared her throat to announce the end of the match and inviting everyone out from the battlefield and showing the way to the injured.
"Congratulations to the Team Black who managed to prove their skill of spell-casting as well as nice strategic skills!" she announced before leaving the battlefield, which had to be cleaned and repaired before the last game of the day.Team Compositions

Spells flew just past Erik as he tried his hardest to dodge them. It was a miracle he even managed to pull it off. Normally he would've been flying across the room to fall flat on his back, but not this time. Who would've known he had it in him? Certainly not Erik. When he noticed the person who had tried to throw a flipendo at him the werewolf lost it. A red haze took hold over him and all he wanted to do was kick in the boy's teeth. Just as he wanted to move over to his newest victim he was pulled out of his agressive state. Meenauh had announced the end of the match and apperently they had won. We... We won? We actually won! I can't believe it! So there is an advantage to working together with these nobodies. Huh, wouldn't have guessed that.

Interacting with Team Black
They had won. She'd figured that would be an outcome, what with the other team only having three members left and time running out, but the announcement declaring her team victorious made it real. A flare of happiness sparked and she felt a surge of satisfaction, but she squashed the elation down just as fast. It wasn't fair to be having a great time when Katrina would be waking up in the medical bay and it was partly her fault.
She couldn't just leave, though. Not quite so soon, not without congratulating her team members who were such a large part of the victory. "Great work!" she called, loud enough for Neculai, who was on the other side of the board, and Erik, who was already leaving, to hear. After the second S.W.A.G. Club game she couldn't say she held either of the boys in particularly high respects, but they were her teammates whether she liked it or not and didn't seem too bad. They'd made it through the game without resorting to physical attacks, anyways.
Turning to the two Ilvermorny girls next to her, she felt a simple congratulation wouldn't be enough. It was because of them they'd won, after all. Either Ilvermorny in general had a great duelling program or the two girls were especially skilled, but either way, they'd been impressive. "You were both great. Excellent spell-casting." The quiet girl wasn't really sure what else to say, so she gave them a nod of respect, her brows furrowing slightly in concern at the older girl's cold, before turning to leave. Hopefully Katrina was okay...

OOC: Great job, everyone! Thank you all for an amazing duel![]()
Karilyna's eyes were narrowed, focus keener than ever as she readied herself for the next volley of spells. There were perhaps a few beads of perspiration on her rose-tinted face, but they were only resultant from being in the hot outdoors for a while, and she wasn't at all tired. She was still at ─ or quite nearly so ─ at her peak level of performance, spells having connected much more often than they missed. Though guilt may have been weighing on her small shoulders at the two opponents she'd helped eliminate and the hits her teammates had taken for her, an eerie calm settled over her as she continued to survey the board, attempting to size up the remaining competition and the state of her own teammates at the same time. Honestly, her biggest concern wasn't how much time they had left in the match. It would be over at some point, and all they had to do was hold out until then; besides, she was confident she could shoot out more spells as needed.
Enough thinking. Though she knew full well that a good helping of logic tended to help decision-making along, she ignored the fact, instead acting on pure instinct. It couldn't be that bad, could it? Quickly deciding to shoot off another spell to hopefully boost her team just a little further into the lead, she turned her attention away from the floating queen. As the other queen was dropped gracelessly onto the board, Karilyna's spell having released, she turned towards the other boy floating about. "Flipendo."
Wait ─ could you even knock back someone in the air? Though she paused for a moment, imagining the alternative possibilities stemming from a spell failure, she pushed the concerns to the recesses of her mind immediately. There was no reason to fear, really, as her spell connected for the last time. And with some last-minute dodging, the game was over. And the black team, her team, were the victors.
The steely glaze of battle melted away, all the tightness resultant of concentration gone in a heartbeat. The queen lowered her wand, grinning, and nodded at her teammates and the opposition in turn. "Good game!" she exclaimed, a more childish tone penetrating her voice now that the stress of duelling had been alleviated. As one of her rooks [Bridget] turned with a word of congratulations, Karilyna glanced up at her, brown eyes lit up with equal parts satisfaction and happiness. "Thanks!" she responded eagerly. And then, realizing the girl was unfamiliar, "By the way, I'm Karilyna Kawahara, pleased to meet you," the Thunderbird spoke quickly, unsure if the other even cared to know her name. She was just a little, pathetically insignificant first year, after all, and from the other side of the Atlantic. "And hey, you did an amazing job too!"
"The blindfolds were cool!" she called after the retreating figure as she left the board. What? Granted, it was a strange comment, but she truly meant it. Turning then to Evanore, she cocked her head to the side, surveying the older girl's condition. "You gonna be okay with that cold?" she asked. She'd better get off the board quickly, since there was supposedly a third duel coming up fast, but housemates still stuck up for housemates. Still, at the very least, she had a sort of obligation to make sure the other Thunderbird was okay, right?
Stepping off the board, the small girl smiled at the spot where she'd stood for the past half hour. In all honesty, they'd done far better than she'd hoped, even with all her usual optimism. Though she was fully confident in her spellcasting ability, the manner in which they'd taken down the other team player by player (okay, they had only eliminated two players out of five) had been rather astonishing. But they'd all done amazing, Karilyna'd had a lot of fun, and having a duelling victory already securely under her belt with minimal previous experience was incredible, to say the least. Truly, it had been a good duel.
