The third year listened to them talking about their names and hummed softly. "M-My name has m-multiple m-meanings", he murmured with a slight shrug, but he was sure that his parents chose it simply because they liked the sound of it. "M-My middle name m-means shining or b-bright", he explained to the two girls since it seemed like the kind of information they liked to share so he assumed they wanted to know about the origin of his name as well.
"W-well to be fair, w-we can't really explore any p-place aside from Hogwarts th-throughout the sch-school year....", he pointed out pushing a strand of hair behind his ear as she offered the girl an apologetic smile. They were first years so they were not allowed to leave the castle and Alan wouldn't be the one encouraging them to break any rules such as exploring Hogsmeade in their first year. He has done it and he had seen other students do so in their first year; he even gave a copy of the fake permission slip to Lamik that one time when he helped him with something. But he wouldn't be exactly encouraging it, if they weren't already planning to break those rules either way.
"A-And I think you m-meant Hogsmeade?", he offered a correction of the town name, hoping she would not mind him doing so. He loved the small town and all the shops and stores in it. He fully explored it within his first year and still found nooks and crannies that he had never seen there before. Shops and stores he had not ventured in and new places that opened. It was truly magical on its own and he related to the desire of wanting to explore the place.

Alan mentioned that his middle name meant bright. From how much she had interacted with him a talked with him hearing his stutter, she did not think he was super bright. Now, she had been known to be wrong many, many times before especially when it came to things like this. The kids in prep school, used to call her the ‘Immoral Idiot’ because she said whatever popped into her head without thinking, and sometimes the things, she said were not things that should have been said out loud. One time she managed to insult a black person by asking him innocently, “How ware you black and not white?” She got a black eye from that, and her parents pulled her from that school faster than you could say ‘Berttie Bott’s every flavor beans’. She also got a lecture from both her parents and principal. She was in the muggle second grade. Ever since then she had been a bit warier of what came out, but not that much.
She asked Alan a pretty stupid question next.
“Alan, why do you stutter? Are you stupid or something?”
she asked this out of genuine curiosity and with innocence.
Brionna answered her previous question with a long answer about how much she wanted to explore the Wizarding World.
“Oh, Brionna, I have a fake permission slip, therefore I can go to Hogsmeade. I can bring you back something sometime if you want. Oh, and you shouldn’t advertise this. It’ll be our secret. You too Alan.”
She nodded at the third year. Then she moved from the bench to sit on the ground, preferring the cold ground to the bench which had begun to hurt her behind.

It took Brionna's brain a long moment to process that she had in fact pronounced the small town full of shops next to the school wrong. When Alan offered the correct name Brionna nearly died from embarrassment. Names and words were never her strong suit, she was a numbers thinker. Nonetheless, her face surely a glowing red she let out a quick "Yes, thank you," to Alan. Hogsmeade, she wouldn't be forgetting the name now, hopefully.
She listened to Alan's explanation of his name meaning bright. Everyone had there own light and darkness, though Alan seemed nice enough, perhaps he had more light than dark. Brionna's own theory was that everyone was just varying hues of grey, so in her mind she painted him as a lighter tint of grey. Although the more she thought about it, the more lost in thoughts she became, because- truly- who was she to paint people in tints and shades? Everyone's perception of right and wrong differed. The very foundation of what makes a person or act "evil" or "good" was as stable as gain or the ocean. Always moving at the slightest breeze, never really still or definite.
The young female was so lost in her thoughts she almost missed Wren's words about her fake pass. It made her both slightly panicked to know this information and intrigued. On one hand, breaking rules gave the green eyed girl the feeling that she ate a rock. Although, this is coming from the girl who got lost in a crowd because she refused to J-walk and went around the street to wait at the light instead of following her family. Of course Brionna, no matter how uncomfortable with breaking rules, would perish before telling on someone who put trust in her for the information. She contemplated Wren's offer and brightened up. She didn't want to really ask for anything, seeing as she doesn't like asking for much from others. Instead she thought about the layout and contents of the shops.
"I'm afraid I don't know to much about anythin available at the shops. Do you have any recommendations? I think I mostly would just want to know more about the history of the shops and their town... Maybe I can find some information in the library..." The girl trailed off as her thoughts wondered from the conversation. Her fiddling fingers pulled away from each other as she instead held her chin. She pondered her likelihood of finding another person to explain the layout and names of the shops. "Could you maybe, write a list of the names of shops?" She thought for a moment, deciding she could find a map instead of further bothering Wren with her nonsense request.
Almost forgetting about the timid and quiet third year, she turned to Alan. "Do you know much about the town or the shops?" She felt bad for almost forgetting he was there. Especially cause people often forgot she was in conversations due to her not talking much usually. The brunette assumed as a third year he would have some information about the topic at hand. So she attempted to join him in. She was unsure of how well it actually worked as conversations were not her area of expertise.
Brionna was so interested in knowing more, she forgot to keep her trap shut. She reminded herself that talking to much would make the other two uninterested in holding a conversation. So with that final question she clamped her lips together and awaited the other two's responses.

"I- uhhh, what?", he asked slightly perplexed by the sudden question who had introduced herself as Glen, his eyes widening slightly by mere surprise about the question. "Wh-Why would th-that make m-me stupid?", he wondered out loud, questioning her about the connection of a stutter to stupidity. Because last time he checked he was smart enough, especially since he was older and had much more experience and possibilities than the younger students!
He would cringe ever so slightly when they began to speak about fake permissions and he knew exactly that he had no right to lecture them especially after he had invited a first year to meet him in one of the shops of the town, but he felt like he had the responsibility as a third year to do so. "Y-You could g-get i-into t-trouble for th-that, y-you know?"
"H-Hogsmeade is a b-bit l-like Diagon Alley, j-just calmer s-since it i-isn't located i-in a b-big c-city," he explained to the girl once Brionna began to direct one of her questions about Hogsmeade to him. He hoped he could help answer her curiosity. "It's a f-fully magical t-town, n-no muggle e-ever e-entered it a-and there is a st-strict no m-muggle policy; it's f-full of m-magic and l-little shops..."
