A New Friend PV Sage Miller Closed

Shae stared at Sage for a moment, thinking of how to answer her question. "Well, I'm not sure." She bit her lip for a moment. "I've never really had to worry about that I guess." Shae looked at Sage, deep in thought. Her eyes turned dark while she thought. She wished she could just change Sage like she did herself and see the best looks and help her decide that way. Only being able to do it to herself made Shae not like her talent very much.
Shae was quiet for a long time before speaking. "Maybe you should figure out what you're wearing and then we can decide." She smiled at Sage as her eyes lightened to their normal shade. She thought for a moment then added, "I mean, even when I change my hair, I just kinda do what I like best for that moment. I mean, I like my normal hair because it's well normal, so that helps. And I like just keeping it straight, but sometimes I like to do something different and change it the normal way." Shae stopped. "Sorry babbling. What do you like best? Straight hair or curlier hair?" She looked at Sage's hair, hoping that she was helping.

"I'm more of a curlier haired girl so maybe we should straighten it and try something new? We can head to the dormitory and I can show you my dresses that I brought with. I think I have one that may or may not work with straight hair." She said, completely excited. Since she was the oldest she never got to do girl stuff with someone else. This was exciting and she couldn't hold it in "Are you done? Can we head to the girls dormitory in the common room? I mean I can wait until you're done, but I mean I can't hold my excitement much longer" she giggled nervously as she started walking out.

She was super excited to show off what she thought she could wear to the dance and what would look cute with straight hair since her hair was always curly. She wondered if there was a spell one of the girls could use to make her hair straight, even for the night. If it worked permanently that would be even better. She wanted to try something new, get a good look. Plus she wanted to impress her date to the dance, she wanted him to look at her and never look away.

Shae nodded at her suggestion to straighten her hair. She laughed at Sage's excitement. She could tell Sage was just excited to have a friend to talk to about everything. She didn't mind Sage's eagerness to leave to get ready for the dance. Shae was impatient when she was excited too. Shae's thoughts wandered to her muggle friends back home. She remembered the fun they used to have getting excited over silly stuff like she and Sage were now. Shae missed her old friends. She couldn't send them owls, but she wanted to know how they were doing. Biting her lip, she remembered would have to wait until break to go home and see her friends. It was going to feel like forever.
Shae broke out of her little funk when Sage asked if she was done. She looked down at her plate. "Uh, yeah, let's go ahead and go to the dormitory." She stood up, smiling at Sage. "You're clearly very excited." She teased. "Who is the boy who asked anyway?" Shae asked. She tried to get her mind off of her old friends and focus on the new and magical ones. She didn't have to totally move on, but she'd see her other friends again.
