All We Know PV Jack Burnett Closed

@Jack Burnett
He's surprised when the Burnett boy gushes about the mentioning of his band, and, to be honest, it makes Roman's chest feel fuzzy and warm. If there's one thing in the world he loves the most is his band. No wonder he has to fight back the urge to smile, so he only looks down, rubbing the back of his neck, embarrassed.

"Ye," says Roman, trying to sound as collected as he can't. It's almost impossible to push aside all of the excitement he feels, but he does his best. He's had enough of the whole losing hold of his emotions since he opened about his problems with holidays and other things to Gabriela Marquez on their way back home, during the winter break. He doesn't need someone else knowing about his feelings. Especially when he himself doesn't get a proper hold of them. He continues, "I formed it a few months ago. The Witching Hour. I'm the lead guitarist and, well, leader, of course."

That's one of the many issues people have with him. Roman's been called apathetic and cold so many times in his short period of life that he's already lost count. Even his father said so. And that's coming from the coldest person he knows.

Roman shakes those thoughts away when Burnett compliments him, chuckling and asking about the missing girlfriend. Surprisingly, it's the second time this year someone else brings that up. First Marquez, now Burnett. It makes Roman disgusted, but just a little. He's never cared much about romance. After all, he's only eleven. But also because, after seeing the way a broken heart basically ended his chances of having a good relationship with his father, the boy would rather not have to deal with anything like that in the future, thank you very much.

"Interested in my love life, Burnett?" asks Roman, half-joking, feeling relaxed, kicking those thoughts away from him. No time for an emotional rollercoaster, no, thanks. He watches Burnett. "Be careful or I'll start to think ya have a crush."

Burnett mentions that crying girl, which sparkles Roman's memories. He's forgotten about her. Then, the other Slytherin nudges him playfully asking about her and his motives behind his approach to her. Roman thinks and finds no answer, so he just shrugs, and even though he knows that the only reason he decided to comfort Lilian was due to his rather happy mood, it's not something to be proud of, at least to him, so he keeps his mouth shut.
Sorry for taking so long, mate

Interacting with @Roman Kingston
At first, Jack was worried he might have overdone it, but Roman's reaction was priceless. Beaming even more broadly, he continued to listen, his brows rising in sincere surprise at new information revealed to him about the band.

"Whoa, you formed it yourself? So you were the founding member?" he asked, genuinely interested. "What kinds of songs do you play? Do you get a lot of gigs? Who else is in it and how many of there are you?" He didn't consider himself as someone with much musical talent, so those who did have it truly amazed him.

It wasn't enough to cause the fact to escape Jack's notice that Roman had avoided answering his question, though. After all, Jack was all to familiar with the avoidant technique himself. Interesting.

Outwardly, however, he snorted. "Don't flatter yourself," the redhead shot back playfully. "I may be interested, but probably not for the reasons you think."

It fascinated him further when his questions about Doll failed to be met with a verbal response of any kind; only a shrug. Grin fading a bit, he turned to face Roman with a more serious expression.

"Say, Kingston..." he spoke up, "It seems to me like you have a lot of contradictions in what I've learned of you so far. Like you're studious, but you like to play quidditch and perform in a band, so school obviously isn't the only thing that matters to you. And then sometimes you seem to be cold, but it doesn't seem all that difficult to get you laughing, either."

Jack inclined his head. "If I may be so bold...how much of that is the real you and how much is what you feel you have to be? Or at least seem like?"
