Pericles as Pres
When the Choir was being built in December '19, Ruthie had asked if I was interested in leading. At the time, I was new to the site and my character was tragically shut-in. In the months since then, I've become heavily invested in HiO, and Peri himself has grown exponentially. He still isn't near as extroverted as Ruthie, but he's finally reached a level of comfort and confidence a club leader ought to have. Pericles believes music is a magic of its own.

Boniface as Conductor
I was lamenting our loss of Griffith to staff when Boni volunteered to fill the role. Out-of-character, they do a killer job at keeping the Headliner coordinated and carrying their weight as staff, so I didn't hesitate to say YES. In-character, Herbology Professor Boniface showed his love of amphibians some time ago with an errand that entailed making houses for wild toads. While Peri will be responsible for coordinating events, Boniface will be the glue holding the Choir together by providing a place for the amphibians to live, giving the Handlers materials for their care, and conducting the singers.

Future Venues
Frog Choir performances will always be optional events. Moving forward however, I'd like to try and find more opportunities for our club to interact!

• Celebratory Feasts in the Great Hall (holiday dinners, sortings)
• Choir meet-ups, to better know one-another and share a love of music
• Halloween/Christmas Caroling, either in the castle or across the grounds
• More club team-ups, IE background singing for theater or Orchestra performances

IC: Growing up being very active outdoors, Lucille loves to learn about different animals, also being quite the avid music lover, the frog choir seemed like a perfect fit for the young Ravenclaw.

When reaching out to them, I explained that we're in a transitional period, but I intend to host a new Tryout scene once the new school year starts. Each one agreed that they would like to join IC via the tryouts. Those signing up after this point are free to wait for the tryout, OR specify that they'd rather just be made a member- auditions are only an optional IC means of joining.

As for the IC of it all: my plan is to say that Pericles received an owl stating that Ruthie was leaving "due to unknown circumstances" (I won't godmod the character and I don't know what her IC reasoning was). This would be his excuse to explain to the others why he's taking charge, how he intends to sustain the choir, and receive feedback from the Singers and Handlers. I'd like to do this as a meetup scene in the rehearsal room. If you have any questions or suggestions, as always, my Discord and owls are always open! I'll comment again in here whenever that thread kicks off.

I've added this note to Participation:
If you haven't been active in choir and you don't log in for several months, you may be removed.
This helps me to keep our roster tidy. If you warn me ahead of time that you're taking off for a six-month vacation, your character won't be removed. If you leave without warning and come back to see your name isn't on the list, your character can be added back in with no hassle.

Why are you interested in Frog Choir?

Rose has a beautiful voice, and she thinks that it can't hurt to share it with others. Plus, she loves all animals, and would love to work alongside/with the frogs. I think this would help get her out of her shell a little bit more, and make connections with others through singing. I am interested to see how this works out!
