The Other Wizards PV Murder Thread Finished

It does not look like the other two are coming. Shame.

Galton was under the influence of... well several very illegal potions. "Candy" is a term for what he ingested sure, but it really did not describe what was happening to the youth or why. Sure, parents often warn children of shady men standing on street corners pushing their product on their innocent angelic children with a firm insistence that only shouting "NO!" Before rushing off to find an adult was the only logical answer. Of course in reality that is not what really happens. Nobody chases after kids insisting that they "try this good shit", rather it is casually offered at market value price or in exchange for something only the child could provide such as bringing an unmarked package that was 'totally not going to get them in trouble' from point A to point B. So what was it with this guy, a living stereotype that had decided that Galton was in dire need of this stuff in particular.

Galton could have ran off towards the woods. That was the intended trap, disoriented children lured by random happenstance to the fringe of the woods where they could be snatched away. A quiet, bloodless crime. It was not as if part giants snatched screaming children straight from the fields and dragged them off to some hag's gingerbread house.

What was with the giants then that Galton knew nothing about? At the ball they made a somewhat obvious move and an even more brazen act at the ball. The sorts of acts that are done normally out of desperation. It was none of Galton's business.

Galton did not wander into the woods that he would never return from. The hags would go hungry tonight, no other students accepted the wares of the candy peddling youth. @Galton Lansdale had rather made it to the aftermath of the ball. He would see an incredibly strange scene before him.

Today, on the day of Galton's coronation, Galton would see a great many people chaotically rushing about the halls. He even recognized some, such as @Hugh Lowe. Hugh's stature and muttonchops that could beat down any sheep being his most defining feature. There was only one oddity as the unfortunate Gryffindor had reached this point in his adventure. His friends were made of gingerbread. Well, everyone was.

They were friends, not food...

The air would not smell as sweet as it should, as if someone had burnt the confectionery treats that fueled the boy king's crown. Well, baked goods were not even remotely close to as powerful as actual candy, that saccharine power contained within such a small, hard (or chewy) sphere. However, they were bedazzled with bits of candy. Their eyes, their clothes, their jewelry...

Oddly enough the final threat of the ball was not the part-Giants but rather Galton Lansdale.
