Gryffindor v Ravenclaw
Fastening the last row of belts on his Quidditch Gloves, Neculai sighed. Today was the day it was all supposed to happen. The first day of the Quidditch Season and he wasn't feeling very confident. Signing up to join his house's team was merely a means to an end for him. To atleast have some form of socializing with any of his fellow house mates. Besides the few brief, -very- brief encounters he had in the Ravenclaw Tower, he didn't have any meaningfull relationships with any of them. So, Quidditch had seemed the perfect excuse, to get atleast some friends, as Quidditch is a team sport after all. A Seeker was the perfect fit for him, playing in a team, but still being on your own! It also meant he couldn't let his teammates down all that much. The trainings went well, but like the word says, those were merely trainings. Now the real deal would be showing and there was no room for any mistakes.
Getting up from the benches inside of the locker room, he grabbed his Comet 180 in his left hand and started to walk towards the pitch. The nerves started to build up and began overwhelming him. Arriving at the pitch he eyed the Gryffindor team. He noticed already a handful of them had started flying and were positioning themselves. The nerves took control over his hand and he let go of his broom. A clatter sounded and Neculai's pale face, suddenly showed an anguished expression. Looking around him if anyone had heard or saw what happened. He grabbed the broom without looking. "They probably all saw what happened..." Suddenly two figures drew his attention one was the team captain, Kyle DeRook. Roaring at his team members and speaking words of courage. The other one was a very tall boy who was already airborne. "I better stay away from that one..." Neculai thought to himself. Losing himself in observing the others, he mindlessly started to mount his broom. Realizing he had mounted the broom the wrong way around, he got his glasses from an inside pocket. Turning his broom he remounted it. "Now that's better."
Neculai heard the words of encouragement from Emma and a bit of the nerves fell away. When starting to ascend he heard Adam's cheer from the bench and Neculai showed a thumbs up! "Alright Neculai, put your game face on! The show will start soon!"

Gryffindor v Ravenclaw
The day was perfect for Quidditch; fogless with good visibility, hot so those in the air wouldn't freeze, and sunny so that one could fly into the sun to ruin someone else's vision. It was a little too hot for everyone who'd be benched or spectating (Max had to tug his gold and red #9 uniform away from where it was already plastered to his chest and shake the fabric a little) but that wouldn't matter to the players. All they had to do was focus on the game and bring their House pride, victory, and the points to conquer the month's House Cup.
Walking out on the pitch was rather odd for Max, who'd never played a team sport. When their captain screamed out he stared blankly, then looked around as other members of their team started to cheer. He'd thought this kind of stuff only happened in books where people weren't embarrassed to yell at the world. It was crazy, however there was something undeniably exhilarating about getting swept up in the rush of competition and sportsmanship.
"Hit them hard," he said with a smile at the teammates gathered, before giving those in the air a wave and making his way over to the bench. Sitting down, he set his Arrow across his knees and polished the freshly-waxed handle with his sleeve as he kept an eye on his own team but also, most especially, the Ravenclaw one. Whether he was called into the game or not, he'd begin to learn everyone's moves and strategies. It was good the blue team was who they were up against first; Ravenclaws were smart and would make interesting opponents. He just hoped they weren't smart enough to see through Gryffindor's strategies.Action: Benched

All the blonde wanted to do was enjoy a nice little game of Quidditch. That’s what she thought during her first year anyway but she had been second string then. They hadn’t needed her. Now she was someone who was important to the team and there was no way she would let them down without a fight. Just like in classes where she and Phaedra would race to finish an assignment first, to get a better grade, her competitive streak came out once again — this time in Quidditch where people could actually get hurt. A dangerous sport but at least Dymphna had the most protective gear on.
It was Saturday. Usually she found herself holed up in the library or studying with Reid. She had her routines and now Quidditch was going to be thrown into the mix. Something other than going for a run, finally! During her first year, she spent all of her time during matches cheering on from the sidelines, for her own house and her friends. Now it was her time to shine — maybe she would be the next Bercegeay during her Holyhead Harpies days!
Dymphna actually didn’t have the drive to play Quidditch professionally, however she enjoyed the competitive nature of the sport and especially the elated feeling she got from flying. It didn’t take long to finish strapping herself into her protective gear, her long hair braided and helmet secured. Her Bluebottle in hand, she made her way onto the pitch and headed for the goalposts to await the start of the game. Others were there before her — her friend Eris, Ruthie who she had bumped into during dodgeball, her fellow Ravenclaws whom she was getting better acquainted with and the Gryffindors with their brash yelling. Idiots, she thought with a huff.
"Let's go Ravenclaw! Show 'em who's boss!" A voice called from the stands. Adam! She almost couldn’t hear him over the Gryffindors. The blond boy was one of her newest friends, someone she enjoyed spending time with at her thirteenth birthday party. Even if he was benched during the game, she was glad that he made the team so that they could spend some time together. She gave him a wave before continuing towards the goals.

Of course she had played quidditch before. Her dad was a professional quidditch player there was not a day that went by that she did not hop on her broom and throw a bit. But like all great athletes she did not have a broom to herself. Her dad had at least 3 brooms but would not let her take one to school since they were all for “work”. He also told her that she had to make enough money to buy her own, now how was she going to do that. But Lavinia decided that the school broom was good enough for now or at least to beat the Gryffindors.
Lavinia was one of the few members of her team that had experienced a real quidditch game at Hogwarts before. It might have just been the test game but to Lavinia it felt real and she had scored or had the chance to score many times. Maybe it was nerves for the first game of the season or the reason that she had not gotten in much practice with her team but Lavinia felt like she was going to throw up. She knew that nothing was going to work if she did not stay focused so with her head in the game Lavinia was ready to play quidditch!

Marla did a double-take at the thought of being a witch. The fact that she was here, at Hogwarts, co-captain of the quidditch team at her first game... She was practically radiant with excitement. Quidditch was one of the first things she had learned about the wizarding world, and she immediately fell in love with it. Who wouldn't? Two bloodthirsty boulders furiously trying to murder you during a soccer-like game, all while in the air? It was genius!
Making her way out onto the field, as excited as she was to set off on her broom and completely demolish the birds, it seemed that Kyle was even more pumped than she could have even imagined. As funny as it was watching him be so absurdly loud at a time like this, it wasn't a surprise. Plus, she didn't blame him. It was amazing to be part of a team. Even if they sucked, she was on a team. A part of something. Or, at least something that wasn't the Headliner with that stupid Alexx Baguette-Name. She was so annoying, Marla almost quit the newspaper. God, the amount of kiss ass stench that wafted off that Slytherin was nauseating. But at least she had prefect duties and now quidditch to water down her hatred for the blonde.
"Yeah! They won't know what hit em once we get on the field," She shouted along with Kyle and the other enthusiastic Gryffindors, who were obviously anticipating the game as greatly, if not more than her. She gripped her broom tighter, glancing at it proudly, a grin creeping its way onto her face. With her hefty salary, Marla was able to purchase the silver arrow, one of the higher quality brooms on the market. Sadly, she had to sell her first broom, the one that she found at the Gryffindor Scavenger Hunt. It was a tough decision, especially because by the end of the year she became quite attached to it. However, she was aware that it was in her best interest to choose the better broom, especially because the last thing she wanted was a bruised ego if she completely bombed this first game.
Hopping onto her broom, she shot up into the air, chills immediately making their way on her arms. This was her first time flying the silver arrow, and with so much ease. It was evidently more capable of maneuvering through other players on the field, and would hopefully assist the fiery Gryffindors in their quest to win this game. She let out a laugh as a rather large student screeched.. To come and get them, you blue feathered doodoo heads. Well, that was one way to put it. Though they hadn't talked, she recognized him as Hugh Lowe, due to him (obviously) being in her classes and house.
As much as she wanted to roar like the others on her team, she was, frankly, too scared of screwing up this game to function right. She was sure that if she opened her mouth to do so, that she'd hurl. To distract herself, she set off higher into the air, gripping her broom tight, waiting in anticipation for the match to truly start.

Raine strolled out on the field with the rest of her teammates and sighed. Why was she out here? She had only applied more to see if she would even get considered for the team. She didn't think she'd actually make the bloody team! Now she was stuck there. She wanted to be a duelist. Not a Quidditch star. Hell, after what happened to her over the summer, Raine didn't want to do much of anything, but her aunt convinced her that she needed to continue being a kid and exploring new possibilities at school. So here she was. A Quidditch Chaser for Gryffindor.
'Too bad mum and dad won't be able to see me now...' the somber thought swam through Raine's head as she thought about that horrible night. Her thoughts were interrupted when her captain, Kyle DeRook, decided to shout loudly at the team and pretty much roar at the opposing team members. Then the others decided to join the "fun" and start yelling at the top of their lungs as well.
"The hell do I look like yelling at the opposing team?" she scoffed and muttered to herself as she mounted her Nimbus 1000. Turning to her nearest team mate she said, "You guys can roar and do team spirit for me. I'll just focus on tossing the ball into the goal."
Kicking off from the ground, Raine flew up into formation, determined to play her best and help team win. She may not want to embarrass herself by roaring like a lion...and she may not even truly be up to being on the team. But she would be damned if her team lost this match. She was going to do her best to help her house win.

Lamik sat at on the Gryffindor bench, his broom on the floor in front of him. In his hands was a plushie shaped like a lion- one that he had stolen from the Gryffindor ball that had taken place the year before. Named "Pringle", Lamik took a lot of comfort in hugging and playing with it, which was what the boy was doing now. Hugging the plushie tightly, Lamik looked up at his team standing at the center of the field, and heard his captain, Kyle of all people, demanding that they roar. Being far too much of a good team mate not to comply, Lamik raised Pringle into the air in front of him and wiggled it around on the air as if it were the one yelling: "RAWR!"

Fill in.
Millie had to fill in for Marla for Quidditch. In all honesty, she hadn't even expected to be used in Quidditch games, and for the first one she had to fill in for Marla. It was... surprising, to say the least. Like a bubble of excitement sprinting through her veins, but also rather terrifying if she admitted it. Maggie had tried out too, and she probably would've been a better fit, but Millie had gotten the spot. So in her close friends name, she was going to try her best, and win the game. Even if she didn't win, she was still extremely excited to be playing on an actual Quidditch team. Though, it was just a Hogwarts team.
Her hand was shaking, and she did her best to steady it. If she was gonna help the other two Chasers, a shaking hand wouldn't do much. There was still an unnerving feeling she had, but there was no time for being nervous. Not when the game was right here, smacking her in the face with the quaffle she was gonna toss around.
Through all of her thoughts and emotions, Millie mounted her broom, and flew up into position. Everything was gonna go okay, maybe not the best, but also not the worst. There could never be a bad feeling when you're having fun, right? She was just going to have to pay attention and be careful, which was a trait she had so easily acquired in her hectic time at Hogwarts. She was going to be okay, and Quidditch was going to be her best subject.

The moment the Quaffle was tossed into the air, the area was a cloud of Chasers, each attempting to grab it before the other. Gryffindor attempted to grab it and charge Ravenclaw's goals in Hawkshead Formation, but Lavinia Cloven was unshaken, and unimpressed. She grabbed that beautiful red ball and took off like a bullet, heading directly for the goalposts. One thing stood in her way now: The towering form of Hugh Lowe, Gryffindor's Keeper.Griseldis Edelhardt, Raine Sage, and Euphrasia Millie have gone into Hawkshead Attack Formation and are going for the Quaffle.
Griseldis Edelhardt: 6+18=24
Raine Sage: 7+2=9
Euphrasia Millie: 7+15=22
Cecily Quinn attempts a Quaffle grab. 11+1=12.
Lavinia Cloven also attempts a Quaffle snatch. 10+16=26.
Ruthie Greer opted not to try for the Quaffle, and instead is on standby to Save someone should they need it.
Lavinia Cloven snatches the Quaffle away from Gryffindor!
Despite the Gryffindor team's savage roars, and Hugh's imposing...well, everything, One again, Lavinia Cloven was not deterred. In a swift fake-out, she shot the Quaffle. It soared right past Hugh, and through the goalpost.Lavinia Cloven attempts to score past Hugh Lowe for the first goal of the match.
Lavinia Cloven: 10+4=14.
Hugh Lowe: 7+5=12.
Lavinia Cloven scores!!
The announcer's voice boomed across the stadium. "Score! Ten points to Ravenclaw!"
The two Gryffindor Beaters decided to come guns blazing immediately. The two of them drew back, and with perfect timing, smacked a single bludger at the same time, with one target in mind: The Ravenclaw Seeker, Neculai Lazar.Arlis Penrose and Kyle DeRook go for a Dopplebeater Defense against Neculai Lazar.
Arlis Penrose: 7+1=8
Kyle DeRook: 4+10=14
14+8=22/2=11
Strength: 10+10(Obnoxiously Strong: +1) =21. Damage to deal: 2100 ....Yikes.
Neculai Lazar: 8+13=21.
Neculai Lazar has avoided the bludger!
The bludger tore through the air, aimed directly at the boy. With the amount of power behind that, he would likely be in the hospital wing under emergency care.
However, Neculai, while looking for the Snitch, saw the bludger coming just in time to quickly veer out of the way. The bludger would miss, but Neculai would feel the rush of wind behind it, having only barely missed. Even though they failed, the message was clear: Gryffindor was not messing around.
Hoping to set Gryffindor back even further, Jorah Moussa singled out one of their Chasers, and sent a round, metal present for Raine Sage at blistering speed.Jorah Moussa attempts to bludger blast Raine Sage.
Jorah Moussa: 10+4=14. Damage to deal: 800.
Raine Sage: 7+18=25
Raine Sage has dodged the bludger!
Raine was keeping an eye on the Quaffle, but happened to look around, in case this very thing were to happen. And sure enough, she saw a bludger careening toward her. Raine dove downward, and the bludger missed completely. If Jorah was going to take her down, he would need to do better than that.
Kyle was NOT about to let this stand. First, Ravenclaw scores, despite their Hawkshead formation, and then they attack a Chaser? Nah.
Kyle took off after the bludger in a half rage, and smacked it in a rage. He didn't know who exactly he targeted, but he knew it was a Ravenclaw.
As if by divine chance, the target of Kyles rage was none other than the one who incited it in the first place. Jorah Moussa. Kyle had to have been pleased about that.Tinderblast's Beater effect has activated. Kyle DeRook has smashed a bludger directed at a random Ravenclaw player.
Lucky Raven iiiiiis..... (drumroll).... Jorah Moussa!!!......Wait, seriously?
Kyle DeRook: 4+2=6. Damage to be dealt: 1100.
Jorah Moussa: 5+8=13.
Jorah Moussa has dodged the bludger!
However, Jorah, as it happened, was still watching that bludger as it soared past Raine. He saw Kyle hit it back at him, and he easily swerved out of the way of the instant karmic retribution headed his way at blazing speed.
Right out the gate, Emma saw her target. The Gryffindor Captain, Kyle DeRook. A strong leader, and a monstrously strong Beater. She saw that he needed to be dealt with immediately before he ended up taking out their whole team.Emma Hill attempts to slam Kyle DeRook with a bludger.
Emma Hill: 14+2=16. Damage to deal: 1300
Kyle DeRook: 4+1=5.
Kyle DeRook is hit by the bludger.
1000hp-1300 damage=-300. Kyle DeRook is knocked from his broom.
Emma saw the bludger she planned to use, and using her Ravenclaw wit, sped off with her broom. Using the speed of the Silver Arrow, combined with her own strength, she impacted the bludger with a crack that almost sounded like a gunshot. It was an apt sound, as the bludger went screaming toward Kyle.
Kyle, likely focused on how next to attack Neculai, or focused on how in the world they missed, did not see the bludger coming. It smashed into the boy with incredible force, knocking him clear off his broom.
With no one to save him, Kyle hit the ground with a sickening thud. Even for a strong-built werewolf, he would not be getting back in the match after that. Stretchers were called out, and they took Kyle out of the arena, headed directly for the nurse's office.
Dymphna Teague could breathe a sigh of relief. No one had attempted to take her down, nor did she have to deal with any Chasers. This time.
Eris Fawley is attempting to spot the Golden Snitch.
10+16=26. [DC is 21]
Erin Fawley has spotted the Golden Snitch!!!
Things were REALLY looking up for Ravenclaw. Already scored, and taken down a monster of a beater.Neculai Lazar is trying to find the Golden Snitch.
6+5+11. [DC is 21]
Neculai Lazar has not found the Golden Snitch yet.
Neculai was darting his eyes about, looking for that blasted Snitch. But, it always seemed to be in the spot he wasn't looking. The Snitch flew right behind his head, and followed his movements for a few seconds, completely evading sight before flitting off again.
Eris Fawley however, was not so easily fooled. In the bright sunlight, she caught sight of a tiny glint. There it was again. She darted her head and stared directly at it, and saw it for what it was. She had spotted the Snitch, right off the bat! And she was NOT about to let it leave her sight. All that was left for her to do was grab it, and Gryffindor would take the match in what would probably be the fastest Hogwarts Quidditch match in history.
