Slytherin vs. Hufflepuff
Excitement. That was the feeling that coursed through his veins. He could practically hear the loud thrumming of his heart. It was nearly beating out of his chest as he gripped his school broom. The cheers of the crowd spurred him on and oddly enough gave him the confidence he needed. He hoped to get a more personal broom but that was far beside the point. He wasn't nervous or afraid no he was confident and excited.
He scanned the other team as he flew out onto the field. Quinn was very easy to spot, mostly because of his large size being nearly 7 feet tall and by no means slender. He saw a few familiar faces, mainly one of his best friends. It was Alexx he hoped she wouldn't be too mad if he managed to land a hit on her. It was a game after all but he couldn't help but have misgivings about potentially hurting his friends.
However that didn't extend to the one Slytherin he locked eyes with. A person that made his skin crawl and made him uncomfortable. A person he honestly did not mind hurting. A certain tenacious snake by the name of Erin Ryan. Today his enemy, tomorrow who knows he didn't like her that's all he knew. Gripping his broom tighter he focused. He felt ready.

Reid stood near the benches, watching his team and frankly currently taking the role of moral support. The student cupped his mouth and let out a loud shout, "You've got this!" He was excited, he donned the yellow and black, fluttering in the wind from where he stood. For all of his team mates who left their tower, he cheered them on.
His expression lacked the seriousness that some of the others had on the field, he wore a bright and cheery grin with his helmet tucked under his arms. Happy, he was genuinely happy for once since he came back from summer. It was a long road to getting on this team, a good three years to be exact, but he wanted to make the best of it if he could.
Whether that was on the field or from the benches, he tried to contribute in one way or another. He was more concerned with the team and didn't really look at the Slytherin team till later as things began to settle. His eyes locked onto Erin, who faltered his smile for a second. It wasn't that she scared him, but he knew what she could be capable of doing, at least he thought he knew. The badger shook his head, he whooped and cheered for the Hufflepuffs.

Slytherin vs. Hufflepuff
Dan finished changing into his uniform, though left his shoes behind. If he was gonna do this, he was gonna be comfortable doing it.
This was it. His first official Quidditch Game. Sure, they'd thumped Ravenclaw a good one in the exhibition match, but this time it was for real. And against the Yellow Badger People. While they were supposed to be adverse to conflict, Dan knew better than that. If they were that adverse to conflict, they wouldn't have shown up at all.
He could not help but wonder if maybe he should have gone with getting the new broom instead... But he shook those thoughts from him. He did not regret his decision, and was not about to obsess over it.
He went out with the rest of the Slytherin team, and scanned the place. True, he recognized few of the Badger People, He knew Carson, for sure.
At any rate, recognized or not, Dan focused on winning, trying to combat his nervousness. This was going to be Slytherin's second win, as long as he had anything to say about it.
And being a very hyperactive Irish boy, he had a LOT to say.

Slytherin vs. Hufflepuff
While the weather was dreary, the atmosphere was everything but. A certain electricity hung in the air as the wind carried hundreds of excited voices onto the pitch. The excitement of the first match of the season was palpable; so were some of the jitters from the other players. Oliver, a first year badger found himself calm, cool, and collected with his school issued broom in his grip. Being the son of a professional Quidditch player seemed to prepare him for this moment. After all, he was playing back up today , and he had sat on the bench for a couple of his mothers games. Support was something he was used to giving.
“Show em your teeth badgers!” Oliver called out as he made his way over to the bench. The first year badger was eager for the team to show the rest of the school that Hufflepuff was more than the push-over stigma attached to them. Each one of the badgers taking the pitch had one simple mission in mind - win. “We got this!” He randomly assured the older student next to him on the bench with a grin.
I could get use to this, he thought to himself as scanned the Hufflepuff section looking like a field of dandelions in the rafters. Students were totting various handmade signs, flags, and totem poles showing off their pride for the teams that took the pitch. Not wanting to get lost in the moment, Oliver returned focus to the happenings on the pitch.

Slytherin vs. Hufflepuff

♦♦♦To say the Hufflepuff was stoked beyond her wildest dreams would still be the understatement of the year. The young girl was practically vibrating with energy like an electrified Tesla coil getting a bit too hot for its metal. Practice had been hard work, and it had taken all of her focus and power of the Luck Ness Monster to make sure she didn't go careening off her broom at a break-neck speed, yet somehow she'd done it. First string Seeker, and her first ever game! She'd bolted out of bed that morning, tossing her dinosaur comforter askew and sure to make someone in her dorm surprised at the disarray the normally excessively tidy Shaw was, pulling on her uniform and protective gear with such a speed she put her chest guard on backwards. A bit embarassing but not out of the ordinary for her. She'd fixed it and bolted off at once.
If'n a Kraken can catch a Quaffle,
Being at the Quidditch pitch outside of practice was a whole new experience that out weighed all but one of those that she'd had before, a warm and rich smile crawling up her lips as she practically jumped into the broom closet and rooted around for her faithful school broom. The Quidditch teacher's lesson ticking in her head as she checked the twigs and the handle to make sure it was in optimum flying position, completely oblivious to the spider that crawled over her hand like a bridge as it moved back onto its disturbed web. This was it. She shouldered the broom, beamed at her teammates, and made her way out to the field.
Cheering rang through her ears and she couldn't help a little hop of glee as she let the sound surge through her, the grin across her face absolutely dazzling as the dim light pinged off the vibrantly yellow and black uniform. She waved towards those on the bench, glancing around at first to take it all in. Her eyes at once landed on @Quinn Healy's massive bulk, her nose scrunching in that way it did when she saw someone she was fond of, and her feet carried her over to where he stood. She halted with another small hop of energy, looking up at him and beaming brilliantly as she nodded in greeting. Her attention landed on @Carson Miller, and she gave him an encouraging wave with her free hand, her grin like a flow of sunshine seeking a flower. She liked everyone on her team, and as her eyes wandered she gave a positive nod in the direction of all the Slytherins that were gathered opposite them, wanting them to feel as excited as she was. At the sight of the green robes, Julie's eyes glanced skyward for the briefest of second, seeking out a familiar glimmer of silver moonlight in the Slytherin stands. Her cheeks flushed slightly despite herself, and she battoned down her brain, focus piqued as she looked towards where her Captain would come from, ready to begin.
Then it shouldnae be a problem for me!

Slytherin vs. Hufflepuff
Serena clutched her broom tightly out of excitement. She stood with her teammates, wearing her matching Quidditch uniform with a sense of pride that she had never quite felt until now. After some years, she had finally decided to give in and stick to what mattered to her. Her goal had always been to play Quidditch, perhaps even professionally. It would be a dream come true to become a famous player, like the ones she had seen in World Cup games or read about in the papers. She had taken too long to get here, after being distracted by other things – like the dangers of Hogwarts, dealing with horrible snotty little boys or just growing up – along the way. But finally, the girl had done it. Well, sort of. She had made the team this year but the positions had already been filled by other students. Apparently, she was a reserve. It still counted, however. She was armed and ready to go. Serena looked down at her Shooting Star with a smile on her face before turning back to the glance at the team. “Good luck, guys. Go kick their butts!” The grin from her face never faltered.
She made her way towards the benches and placed her broom down underneath a spare one. It would remain there, for now. Her task right now was not to play. It was to do what Hufflepuffs do best: support each other. The third year would support her house with a burning passion that could only be matched by the badgers. From the sidelines, she would cheer her house on. If they needed her, she would be there. For now, she would scream at the top of her lungs, cheering them on, “GO BADGERS!” She had every faith in her teammates to do the job. But Quidditch was a dangerous sport. People were knocked out left, right and centre. If anything happened to her teammate, Serena was ready to step in. But hopefully it would not come to that.

Slytherin vs. Hufflepuff
It was a grey day to match a grey mood, Asteria thought, fussing over the straps on her Keepers gloves for the umpteenth time in the locker room. The slight girl, even after having looked over the rules and plays of the game, was still not quite sure what to expect when it came to dealing with opponents. Flying was one thing, the whole reason she had signed up in the first place, the need for the thrill that hooked right into your stomach and set you adrift. But opponents? Having to negotiate the space and watch out for others? That was something else entirely.
It didn't help that she was still new at this school, still unused to her peers. She couldn't read people, not in the way people can after spending time around them, and Quidditch, from her meager understanding, was a game where that talent would be, well, incredibly useful. But it was what it was, and soon enough she would be in the sky. That would be enough; that had to be enough.
Trudging out onto the field, she fidgeted with the old school broom she was using. Like most commonly owned school property, it was in slight disrepair, all stains and splinters from years of wear and tear, but she was thankful just to have something really. And that thankfulness for something was at the heart of how she wanted to play in this game; to belong to anything was important, and for now at least, she was part of this team. Since she was part of it, she wanted to do by them as best as she could muster, she thought, idly shifting her feet on the grass of the field, still damp from the morning dew. Waiting for the game to begin, the exhilaration that can only come from expectation began to rise in her, as thoughts of flight and the game ahead filled her head. Broom clamped firmly in her grasp, she waited for instructions of what to do next.ACTION: GETTING IN POSITION

Slytherin vs. Hufflepuff
As exciting as this would be, Saskia was admittedly nervous. She had her uniform set up, but she found herself readjusting her gear over and over again. It was her first ever official Quidditch game, and she had a duty to fulfill, both as a player and as a captain for her team. Of course, she wouldn't let anyone see it. What would people think if they saw their leader falter? She had to stay strong. At least for the sake of her team.
The Hufflepuff closed her eyes as she took a deep breath and stepped towards the field, her broom in hand and her Beater bat in the other. It was a good thing she had a better broom than the usual rickety school broom the school had to offer. But was it enough to secure a victory? Only time would tell. But now wasn't the time to dwell on mere possibilities. She had to assure herself that her team would win. They weren't about to go down without a fight if she had anything to say about it.
After getting on her broom and catching up to the rest of her team, she faced her teammates with a resolute smile on her face. "Alright, badgers. Let's show them who exactly they're messing with," the girl called out, her smile staying in place before she got into position, observing the other team. There weren't a lot of people she was fully familiar with, but she had to be careful not to underestimate them regardless. But one thing was for sure that she would give her all.

Slytherin vs. Hufflepuff
Most people would feel like butterflies were flitting about in their stomaches before a game, but to Carra, it felt more like there was a bolder just sitting there. Tugging nervously at her uniform robes, Carra followed her teammates out onto the pitch. The grey sky loomed above them, but the air was warm and thick. Loud cheers greeted the Hufflepuff team as they emerged and Carra couldn't help but smile. It was good to know that her house had their backs no matter what.
The green of the Slytherin's robes drew Carra's eye and an uncomfortable shudder ran through her as she glanced over the players. She didn't recognize any of them, but something about the way they held themselves rubbed her wrong. It had just had to be against Slytherin for their first match.
As the first string players launched into the air, Carra joined her other teammates on the bench, sitting down next to Serena, Oliver, and Reid. Their cheers lifted her spirits and she added her voice to the mix.
"Let's go Puffs! Show 'um blood and vinegar!"
The wind whipped through Carra's hair and the stone in her stomach grew lighter, this would be a great day. The Badgers would show those snakes a thing or two. This team was the best, and no matter if she was sitting on the bench or up in the air, Carra knew she'd play her part.

Slytherin vs. Hufflepuff
Edric was nervous, ridiculously nervous considering that if everything went according to plan he wouldn't even be playing in this match. Still, this was first ever Quidditch match as a player - if one ignored his attempt at try-outs in his First year - and walking out onto the Quidditch Pitch filled with hundreds of cheering spectators scared him quite a bit.
He was proud to wear the Slytherin green and silver of his team's Quidditch robes and hoped for a win of his team. With how sweaty his palms were and how his heart beat rapidly in his chest he had no desire to get up there himself at the moment. Good that he'd only gotten a second string position, otherwise he might have embarrassed the team and their head of house by doing something silly like flying straight into a Bludger.
Being benched was nice. He could sit here and cheer on his house mates, and maybe when he game had started he'd start to feel less like he was going to vomit any minute.
Action: sitting on the bench, praying that he won't have to play.
