Elzabeth raised her eyebrows at his confession, she knew what figure skating was but she’s never really watched it.
“Really? I guess I've never really paid attention to it.” She thought back to the ice skaters she saw when she was little, it bored six-year-old her so she never really wanted to watch it again.
“Why? If you don’t mind me asking.” She was a little confused as to if it were genuinely entertaining to him or just something he watched to relax. Something about dancing on the ice got a lot of other people excited so it was possible.
“Do you watch the Olympics then?” She thought back to the times her parents would watch it, none of them really had extensive knowledge in the sports on the TV but they watched it anyways. It was one of the things she would glance at every once in a while before going back to her game on her mom's phone or the book she was reading.
Realizing she had basically asked him two questions without giving him the time to answer, she closed her mouth. She had a bad habit of asking a lot without giving them time to get the answers

William got a little bit stumped by the question. His parents had just rolled with it and his nanny was an avid ex figure skater, so his near obsession with it the moment the world championship got around had never really been questioned. The young boy was just glad Elzabeth knew about the sport.
When she asked the second question, he was immediately thrown back to some of the breath-taking performances he'd had the luck to be explained to by his nanny while watching the Olympics. This was the moment he decided to follow the sports and his favorites skaters.
"Well first off, I like to watch it because it is a truly magnificent sport. Figure skaters seem to float on the ice, it's really hypnotic. I have watched it for as long as I remember too. " He thought about one he had watch recently. She'd done her program flawlessly and the grin on her face had even pulled one out of William. She had then fallen because she was too excited.
He huffed silently before continuing. " And yes, I do watch the Olympics. Most of my favorite skaters perform there, but I also watch most international and national competitions." He let himself ponder about it a little bit. How many would he miss? It didn't really matter for the moment, he'd find a way to watch them. Maybe ask his nanny to save them. " What do you like? Anything as special as figure skating? He finished with a raised eyebrow and a gap toothed smirk

Elizabeth made a mental note to check out the sport when she got home for Christmas, She knew she could probably find a few videos on YouTube or something.
"I like to read, but so does most people." Elzabeth felt sort of embarrassed, she never really got to travel unless going to the town over to her Grandmas counted, and there wasn't much other than reading and TV that entertained her.
"I want to travel though, out of England and to Italy or something!" Elzabeth smiled. She was always fascinated with the other parts of the world and often begged her parents to go somewhere for a summer trip but they always told her no. The reasons would change from time to time, but it was either they didn't have time or they didn't have money.

Elzabeth let out a soft laugh. "I don't know, I'm a boring person." She thought back to all the things she would do for fun when she was at home, but none of it seemed as special as Figure Skating. She tried baking and drawing but neither was really fun for her, in the end, she would get frustrated with herself and wouldn't continue. What do you like? Anything as special as figure skating?

"Aren't we already in England?", he asked both confused and teasing.
William understood why she would like to travel though. Other countries were beautiful and full of profitabe things. The young boy had travel. Not a lot, but he'd went with his dad to America on some business trips and he had lived a little while in France. Elzabeth seemed to brighten up too after mentioning traveling.
William just didn't understood why reading made her a boring person. If anything, it made her even more interesting. Knowledge was power and reading brought knowledge. He took a peek through the window, watching the hills roll by as they got closer to their destination. He plunged right into her emerald eyes before speaking up,"You're not as boring as you think. I would've walk right out of here if you were. I try not to associate with boring people. And you know, traveling is fun. I only traveled to the United States with my father, but I would like to go someplace else. Though New York was something to see. Wall Street was bustling with people and..."
He stopped right there, too afraid to ramble on about something he knew others found boring. He just went back to when he had literally bored his nanny to sleep. "Anyway, anything you would absolutely go see?"

Elzabeth had always wanted to see New York, it was one of the many places on her list. Once he started to talk about it she leaned forwards, wanting to hear more about his adventures in the bustling city.
It disappointed her once he stopped himself but she remained interested, thinking his question over. "Absolutely?" She muttered, running her finger over her bottom lip. She loved mythology of all types so places like Roam and Greece were a good choice although she's always wanted to see the states.
"I think I would want to try and see the roman cathedral first, it just seems so interesting. The amount of history the place holds blows my mind sometimes. But if not there then probably somewhere gorgeous like Thailand." Elzabeth thought about all of the pictures she had seen with the misty mountain tops and untouched forests.
"But I know I probably won't get to see most of that." Elzabeth let out a sad sigh. "I would need money to travel and that means a job. If I could spend my life away from office jobs and cubicles I would be happy." Just the thought of wasting so much time on something so boring made Elzabeth shudder.
"Sorry, got a little off-topic there. What about you? Any places you want to see?" She asked, watching him as he looked out of the window at the moving scenery.
The Scotland hills were gorgeous and she would have been admiring them just like William if she hadn't gotten so caught up in the idea of traveling. Ever since she was little and her parents had taken her out on a trip to her grandmas, she's always looked out of the windows.

Elzabeth would really like to travel it would seem. To William, while she spoke, it was like hearing his mother telling him all about her latest contract. Absorbed and truly invested. And he quite liked it. Hearing about someone else's interests was endearing. He could chime in here and there because he liked to travel too, unlike her with his own little interest. He was only stumped when she told him she didn't have the money. Was travelling really that expensive? It didn't look like that to him and he never thought about it.
He brushed it up quickly before nodding in understanding. Their vues were totally different on desk work but he knew why. Not everyone knew they ran the capitalist world those desk workers.
When she asked him the question, he knew exactly how to answer, "I would like to visit Greece or Canada. For the same reasons as you I would say too. One has so much impact on our society and the other has beautiful landscape. It's cold too, just how I prefer it." He humed after that. Looking back at the scottish hills passing by, he pulled his vest a little over his shoulder. His mom always complained to him. So did her clients behind her back. " Could you tell me about your family ? ", he suddenly asked.

Elzabeth started to eat her snacks as he talked, smiling when he mentioned how he liked the cold. She was more of a warm and dry weather person, where she lived it was oftentimes cold and rainy so it was only natural she would want to try and experience something else for a change.
She thought back, wondering where to start. "Well, uh, I live with my mom and dad. My mom's a nurse and my dads with the Ministry, he workes for Magical Law enforcement. Sometimes he'll come home after one of his busy days and sits me down so he can talk to me about following rules." Elzabeth thought back to one particular day when the lecture had lasted ten minutes instead of it's usually three or five.
"I think he does it out of concern, but it starts to get annoying once you hear the same things five different times." She smiled and thought back to her mom. "My mom works weird shifts so when I do see her we like to spend some time together. She doesn't like the idea of me going off to Hogwarts so much as my dad does." Elzabeth uncrossed her legs and swung them back and forth.
She didn't even reach the floor yet which would have bothered her around anyone else but she felt comfortable enough around William.
"She's a muggle you see, and my dad's a wizard. He went to Hogwarts when he was my age and so did both of his parents, it's expected on his side of things but my mom didn't leave the house until she went to Uni. I think that's her main reason, to her I'm still her baby who she should take to school every morning and feed every night." Elzabeth dropped the cheerful tone, she would miss her mom's meals and say goodnight but at the same time, she knew Hogwarts was going to be amazing, even if she had to adapt to some new things in the beginning.
She looked up at William, hoping she wasn't boring him too much. "Other than that, I don't have any other siblings, my mom said it was because I was already a handful." Elzabeth joked, shrugging. "What about you? What's you're family like?"

William drummed his fingers on his lap, nodding along where he thought it was appropriate. Her family was much more different than his own. Her father was working for what he understood as the government of the magical world. He didn't quite catch what his job was, but it almost sounded like a police officer. He had wish when he was younger that his parents were a little something like that. How cool could it have been ? Now, with her familial history, he knew he would have seen his parents way less than he actually did.
"You cold say I have almost three parents. My mother, my father and my nanny. I don't see mother and father often. They're away on business trip most of the time and they don't usually bring me along. They're both at the head of big companies, but my mother is the one with the bigger income. When they are at home though, we do things together and they tell me all about their business partners and contracts. " He pondered a little bit. He would definitely miss those little moments. Snuggling in the quite enormous love seat, reading or simply talking for hours before bed. William looked out the window, pushing back the tears he felt forming. He would be fine, totally fine.
"My nanny is actually the one I'm closer to. He's also the one who introduced me to figure skating as he was one when he was younger. He got as far as the nationals, before he stopped to begin his job as a nanny. I've only had one nanny since my birth and he is just as much of a father as my real father." William smiled at that, a pure honest smile directed only toward the scottish hills. The smile that showed in a new light his crooked front teeth. He turned to Elzabeth eating her snacks,"Is there any wizarding snack I shold be aware of?"

Elzabeth was fascinated by his family situation, although it was nothing like hers, she could see he was happy when he talked about his nanny.
A part of her wondered what life would have been like for her if her parents had jobs like his, she probably would be a very different person without them. She depended on her mom and dad for almost everything, which was one of the reasons why she was so stressed about having to leave them.
"There are all types of cool candies. I'm sure if the trolly witch stops by we'll be able to see some of them. There's one called Fizzing Whizzbees that can make you float when you suck on them, it's insane." Elzabeth giggled.
"And then there's Bertie Bott's Every Flavored Beans, and when they say every flavor they mean every flavor." Elzabeths face went from smiling to disgusted, she was nieve when she had gotten her first box and had reached in without looking. Next thing she knows she had a mouth full of earwax flavored candy.
"I think I might have a box over at my house still, too bad I didn't bring some." She sighed.

His question made her think for a moment. There had only been a few times she had gotten to try some magical candy, once when her father had come home with some to show her and another time when she ventured into Diagon Ally for school supplies."Is there any wizarding snack I shold be aware of?"

Those candies sounded so weird to William. All he'd grown up with were good old muggle candies. His parents didn't buy him chocolate or candies but his nanny smuggled him some sour gummy rings, his favorite.
Now that he was on his own, he promised himself to try at least those Elzabeth proposed if not all of what the magical world offered. He just needed to know how much it cost. He'd exchanged more money than he needed for his supplies and no one had bother to take the extra back so he still had a small fortune. He touched lightly his pocket, feeling the gold, silver and bronze coins. "It's too bad, true. I hope that trolley lady comes soon."
He shifted, leaning on the window. William just waited, not knowing what to say next. He chastised himself. He just wished he could say something but his mind was blank. Thinking about his serious lack of social skills wasn't appropriate now, but how would it go when he was in Hogwarts. Chances were he'd be on his own most of the time. Surrounded by people he was unable to communicate with simply because he never went to school. His nanny had been there to ease his worries, now there was no one or only Elzabeth."I...um. Sorry if it's too personal, wouldn't want to intrude after all, but are you... scared of anything ? With Hogwarts. " His voice was hesitant, one he used only with his three parental figures. One only people who would be his friend would heard.
OOC: Sorry for the lateness. I was a bit in over my head this week.
