Water Music
Hearing Rosalyn question what she had said made Serena think about why she thought things were that way. After thinking a little Serena says, "Well if you think about it this way, if you're passionate about something that means you put your heart into it, that's not only effort as you said but also the passion you put in it means a lot. Sure people fail all the time, but in something like art there is no failure, only different ways of doing it." Giving her a smile as she tilted her head a little, almost as if trying to look playful.
Serena jumped a little and sat up straight as Rosalyn jumped up, watching her with a smile still on her face, partly of humor and partly of sympathy. As Rosalyn walked past her she stood up and faced her, she had learned from her mother that it is mostly improper to be in a one on one conversation and be sitting while the other is standing. She seemed a little shocked at what Rosalyn said, but suddenly she started to giggle a little, saying, "Well I'm glad I fit in my house, although I didn't know what I was saying is strange, but it could be worse."
