These were the kind of situations Millie got stuck in. She was forced to either leave, or try and help settle the situation. After having another situation similar to this, she had chosen to leave, unscathed. And at the time it seemed like a good idea, but she just felt bad. The purple-haired girl seemed to be determined to get the truth from Kaegen, but Millie was more curious to know what the hell was going on.
But at this point she was afraid she was pushing her limits. Though, she was a Gryffindor, why would she run away from action when it proved integrity or something? It wasn't like they were the smartest house out of the four.
Her thoughts were rudely interrupted when Purple threw a chair, and some boy cast "flipendo". Millie looked over to the prefect, and shouted over the chaos. "You're a prefect! Do something!"
"This is so damn stupid." She grumbled once more, pulling her wand out of her pocket. If she was going to stay here, she wasn't going to hide behind a prefect who wasn't doing her job properly. The once calm ballroom had turned into an all out warfare, and here she was, stuck in the middle of it.
"What is this even about?" She finally called, amplifying her loud voice, hoping someone could hear. If she was lucky, Purple or Kaegen would hear and hopefully explain something.
Because if Millie hated anything, it was being left in the dark. She had chosen her own path, and she was not going to back down and hide.

Griseldis knew it wouldn't be that easy to stop them from fighting against each other. She was like an ugly duckling that just hatched from an egg and not everyone would acknowledge her as a Prefect. Grisleids understood well enough, that she was new, very very new and if she wanted people to respect her she needed to earn their respect first and she didn't mind how long it would take. Like her grandfather told her before, that patient was the key to success. However, Griseldis was disappointed with Erin more than Kaegen, she never thought she would be this aggressive. But there could be a reason on her side of the story to be like this though. Or Kaegen could have said something that provoked her, but no matter what...attacking someone was still against the rules. Speaking of Kaegen Deathmote, she did hear from many other students about the Ravenclaw boy, they all said the same thing about him that he was a very problematic student and super scary. He once stabbed people with his knife and harmed a lot of students before. It was really shocking for her to learn about this but today, what she saw was different.Interacting with @Erin Ryan, @Abigail Sparks, @Euphrasia Millie and @Kaegen Deathmote
It was Erin who first started the fight and so far Kaegen, who was rumored to be extremely dangerous only tried to dodge her attacks. Even when it was still against the rules to fly on a broom inside a building. What he did in her eyes, it was justified self-defense. "Yeah! Fighting is never the answer!", Another Gryffindor suddenly appeared and stood beside her. She remembered her and seen her a few times in the common room.
"You fool!" Erin shouted at her, she could see the rage in her eyes. "Who knows who is going to get killed if I don't find out what that idiot knows!", Griseldis frowned at Erin and tried to ignore her insult by calling her a fool. But Erin might be right, she could be a fool for getting between a fight. She didn't expect Erin to push her to the side in order to throw a chair at Kaegen, "Erin! Please stop!"
"You're a Prefect! Do something!", the other Gryffindor girl shouted at her impatiently, then she grumbled about how this was stupid and took out her wand. Oh Merlin, no...why couldn't they sort things out in a more civil way? "Wait, no! You don't understand-", but she wouldn't listen to her. The girl demanded Erin and Kaegen to answer her but they were only focusing on each other couldn't she see that? They would ignore her for sure. So what she was doing wouldn't help to resolve this fight at all.
"Gris! What's going on?! Why are you fighting?!", A familiar voice got her full attention, her smile widened at the sight of her good friend, "Abi! It's so good to see you! I'm only here trying to stop these two fight.", She explained, pointed at Erin and Kaegen.
It was obvious now. The longer Keagen and Erin were still in this very ballroom, the fight would never end until one of them got what they want. And considering other innocent students who had nothing to do with the fight also joined in, it would be a huge mess to clean up and someone might get hurt if she didn't act immediately. Looking at Kaegen still on his broom up above the ceiling, surrounded by the floating candles. Grisledis suddenly had a crazy idea and could only pray in her heart that it would work. Thanks to that chubby Ravenclaw boy who tried to use that spell on Kaegen. She placed her hand on Abi's shoulder and whispered to her, "Please, Abi. I need you to help me block Erin if she attacks again. And Millie, right?", Griseldis also placed her hand on the girl's shoulder and gave her a smile, "I need your help as well, I have a plan and hopefully it can end this fight, so I hope we can work together to stop this."
Griseldis trusted her friend and even the other Gryffindor that they would help her. She quickly took out her own wand and pointed it at the large window high up above where Kaegen was right beside it, "Flipendo!!" Since nobody would stop her, she was able to aim it at the spot accurately. The spell hit right at the window and due to the strong impact caused the glass shattered into pieces.
"KAEGEN! GO! LEAVE NOW!"

Nobody seemed to notice the girl was bleeding from a shoulder wound inflicted by a shone shot from Kaegen's slingshot. They were content to let that gangly corpse just float up high and higher, further away. She would push past the Prefect, open palm, only a bit of blood would get on the ginger's shirt. Not that she cared if the girl would get hit, rather her face might deflect the chair from its intended target. It mattered not, Erin would heave the chair with her brutish strength, an uncanny skill for the slender youth but it would miss the boy that was slowly creeping towards the ceiling.
"Erin! Please stop!"
The Gryffindor begged, but Erin would not heed the girl's cries.
"Wait, no! You don't understand-"
There was nothing to understand, there was no time. She needed to get him off the broom before he got away. If he got away, she would have a hard time cornering him again. "No time," Erin announced through gritted teeth as she gripped Kaegen's worn scarf. He was too high, headed for the chandelier. A single story being about ten feet, the ceiling likely being close to thirty here, he would be out of her reach. She could tie his scarf to a chair, give her an improvised weapon with substantial reach. She did more than think about it, she looked down at the scarf in her hands, to the chair and then back up at Kaegen.
That was exactly what she was going to do.
A chunky girl would meander into the ballroom and make her way to the Prefect.
"Gris! What's going on?! Why are you fighting?!"
Finally a distraction! Girls being girls, they would engage in girly banter. A greeting. A plan. It was almost as if she was not even there. She had an incredulous look on her face, she did not take her eyes off of Kaegen however as she tied a knot on one end of the scarf securing a chair to the end. Yes, the mighty chair was her bludgeoning instrument of choice. She would climb on top of the table -- three feet. She stood just over five feet -- eight feet. Her arm span, about two feet -- ten feet. The scarf, less the knot and grip about 4 and a half feet. 15.5 feet. The chair itself from the apex of the back to the bottom of the leg. Another three feet -- that is 18.5. Ceiling is thirty. Save room for clearance, the sickly boy still needed headroom and some space. He had 11.5 feet he could safely occupy. He would shift downward, need to reach that elevation. Avoid the light-fixtures.
She would heave the chair, if the girls were not careful they would experience a face full of chair but she had no interest in assailing any of them. It was not an act of chivalry, she just did not want to needlessly torment anyone at this moment, she just wanted to get the corpse peeled off the ceiling and subdued so she can withdraw (through force if necessary) what it was that she needed to know. "GET DOWN HERE AND TELL ME ABOUT THE FUCKING DEATHWITCHES OR I WILL RIP YOU DOWN!" Erin roared as the chair would be shot up and the girls plotted against her while she was standing right there.
Would Erin have reacted had she seen the Prefect draw her wand and prepare to cast a spell. Well, probably. The chair that she had grabbed and wielded like chain mace might have been distracting also but apparently the Flippendo was successful, potentially ending the altercation as it gave Kaegen an avenue for escape. Presuming that Kaegen took the opportunity, that would end the altercation. Without Kaegen, she had no reason to remain, she was hunting him. She would untie the scarf from the chair, pursuit would be reckless and useless. She would wrap the scarf around her forearm and bring it to her face and smell it. It stunk like him. Good. She would be able to use that.
"My name is Erin Ryan, send me an owl notifying me of my detention. House Slytherin. Head of House Professor Jensen. I will be in the usual place at the usual time for the usual detention," Erin shrugged. She did not care about the consequences. Mucking unicorn shit, scrubbing bathroom floors, attempts at embarrassment, heart to heart chats where the Professor forgot to converse and just ended the conversation with an awkward silence that she would ultimately amble away from. "And that," she pointed at the window "was the only link I had to the missing students. But i am sure you knew that," she would look down at the Prefect regalia (presuming you had it as you have been IC referenced as a Prefect by players that do not know you) "...Prefect." Prefects, always getting in the way, stopping her from pursing the truth. Obfuscating it all.
"Shame you're a shit caster, not that my flippendo hit," Erin announced in Oliver's direction. She was taking the blame for the flippendo he cast. Yeah, she knew it came from him, she knew his voice well enough by now. Commendable effort but his soft, pasty ass would not do well in detention. No need for them both to spend an afternoon there.
If she was not prevented she would approach Oliver, ready to deck any of the girls if they laid a hand on her. Her fight was not with them, yet even if they aided the cancer patient's escape. She needed to regroup, find him again, make sure that she locked the damned door next time. Shame there was no "bully for hire" adds {hint @Kyle DeRook} posted anyplace. If she reached Oliver without any other nosy lasses too proximal she would whisper, "not bad Hart... play dumb and yell at me." No need to have two take the same fall one could make, also it might help the Ravenclaw's rep a bit.

Variables:
- Kaegen leaving -- if he does not leave then ignore everything after that point.
- Attempting to leave -- if not stopped, Erin would attempt to leave topic if Kaegen left topic and if she was not stopped. If she is stopped, she would sucker punch them.

Oliver winced as his spell flew past Kaegan. He had failed Erin, he'd never forgive himself. The intensity of the encounter was making Oliver's palms sweaty, worsening his grip. And attempting a flipendo on someone in the same room as a prefect, this was probably the heaviest spellcast Oliver had to ever perform. Regardless however, Oliver hated himself for missing. He watched the whole situation, the girls blocking Erin in favour of their crush on Kaegan. Then Erin being forced to give up as they gave the attempted murderer free passage. He looked at Griselda as Erin walked towards her, along with the other girls. What a pile of waste. If Kaegan leaves and the girls don't block Erin:
"Shame you're a shit caster, not that my flippendo hit."
Oliver froze in thought. What flippendo? Maybe Erin cast one before he had arrived... or perhaps she was taking the blame for his one!
Oliver nodded," shame that."
Oliver noticed the blood on Erin's shoulder, placing hands on his big cheeks. "You're bleeding! Is it deep? Oh, jeeny mack... why were those girls letting him shoot at you? Uh, he's such a coward, flying about," Oliver sighed. He rarely ran from Erin when she approached him with malicious intent. He usually just froze up before he had a chance to escape.
"Not bad Hart... play dumb and yell at me."
Oliver raised his voice so the girls could hear clearly," what the hell were you thinking?! Don't you know he's a murderer! Don't approach him..." Oliver pushed out a panicked voice. Worrying about Erin was definitely new. They were friends now though.
Oliver looked up at the presumably leaving Kaegan, sighing deeply and then looking over at the girls. He'd half expect Erin to just knock them all out with her fists, she was probably just playing her cards to save time though. She was smart in her own scheming ways.

Hoping that Kaegen would take the opportunity Griseldis created for him to escape the ballroom, away from the furious Erin. She couldn't imagine if he still remained in the ballroom, the fight would become even more chaotic if she hadn't acted and more students might join in the fight. That was the last thing she wanted to happen.Interacting with @Erin Ryan and @Oliver Hart
"GET DOWN HERE AND TELL ME ABOUT THE FUCKING DEATHWITCHES OR I WILL RIP YOU DOWN!" Erin roared at Kaegen, her voice sounded so desperate. She watched as the older Slytherin girl threw another chair at him but failed.
The whole ballroom instantly fell in silent, until Erin spoke to her, Griseldis saw the friendliness back from the Hogwarts Express completely gone in her fiery eyes, replaced only coldness. "My name is Erin Ryan, send me an owl notifying me of my detention. House Slytherin. Head of House Professor Jensen. I will be in the usual place at the usual time for the usual detention, and that..." She shrugged as if she didn't care at all, but then she pointed at the broken window high up, "Was the only link I had to the missing students. But I am sure you knew that." Griseldis didn't know at all but she kept her mouth shut. During her first year in Hogwarts was so uneventful, she really knew almost to nothing except only focusing on learning magic. Death witches? Missing Students? Why this was the first time she heard about it? Was there something more that was kept as a secret in Hogwarts?
Erin turned away from her, there was no reason for her to stay anymore if Keagen no longer was there. Suddenly, Griseldis felt something wet and warm on her shoulder, it also smelled like...blood? She touched the spot on her shirt and was slightly shocked to see blood on her fingertips. Erin was injured!? "What the hell were you thinking?! Don't you know he's a murderer! Don't approach him...", Griseldis heard the chubby Ravenclaw boy loud and clear. She quickly looked up, seeing Erin was still there talking with him at the entrance door. "Erin, wait!" She ran up to her but kept her distance between them. She knew Erin was still angry at her for meddling in her "Business", Griseldis understood very well why but that wasn't fair to her! As a Prefect, she was only doing her job. But even if she wasn't one, she would still stop her out of a sense of Justice. "I'm really sorry that things turned out like this, but none of you listened to me or even cared to explain to me the true reason behind the fight between you and Kaegen. I know that it looks like I helped Kaegen but did any of you give me a choice? No! My priority was to stop this mess and not letting more students get involved in your fight." Griseldis stared at the Ravenclaw who also looked displeased at her, he was the other student she meant and Millie as well, they were both innocent and should never join the fight. Then she looked back at Erin, "You're a year older than me and you're smart enough to know a better approach than that! Fighting won't give the answer you want and see what it got you at the end." She pointed at Erin's injured shoulder and said to her with a frown.
Then Griseldis looked at the Ravenclaw again, her expression was softer because she knew he only wanted to help Erin as a friend and saw Kaegen as the bad guy, "I assume you're Erin's friend? Please accompany her to the Hospital Wing then I will overlook the fact that you tried to cast a spell at a fellow student. But Erin..." She sighed sadly, "I will inform your Head of House about this incident and will send an owl to you a few days later of your detention. As for Kaegen, I will also inform his Head of House about it. Please take good care of yourself." Griseldis politely bowed at them both before turning around and left to speak with Abi and Millie.
ReducioOOC: Well, Erin got herself in trouble IC due to breaking the rule for fighting. So I will try to put up detention for her later. However, I really enjoyed rping with her. She's still a very cool character in my opinion![]()

The chair whipped up towards him with a shocking lack of aim (4). Kaegen did some kind of a weird shift to the side, which looked both rushed and awkward (6) but it was enough to move him clear of the chair. As he landed on the windowsill high above, he tossed down a rock towards the ground. Not enough to hurt anyone, it wasn't aimed. Just enough to get someone's attention. The loud girl, specifically. His throat felt cold and empty, that scarf was part of who he was, it was part of his name. If the loud tink of rock on hard floor got the prefect to look up, he would point to his neck, and look as pleading as he knew how. Which incidentally did not look very pleading, as the ravenclaw took far too long to decide on what a pleading face would look like, and ended up just giving up and retreating onto the old castle's roof, safe from oppressors and harm.
He would stay there a good long while, just thinking. Had all his hate really evaporated that quickly? Why had he not instead simply fought the girl, instead of running. Why had he run, anyways? He was stronger, faster, better than she was. He had more hate than she had. Although, he supposed. Hate was not exactly anger. He was too tired to feel real anger. Real anger required energy, it required a flame that burned far brighter than anything Kaegen could muster.
The ravenclaw spent most of his time simply trying to exist, to hover above the dark places as best he could, to keep himself sane with hatred. Hatred for the sake of hatred is hardly hatred at all. It is not substantial enough to force one to fight, at least not a little boy. And now he was on a roof, alone and without his scarf. No longer to be called scarf-wielder. And thus more of his name was ripped away.
Cowering into a little ball, in a convenient corner, by a chimney, Kaegen started to cry, drops of red running down the roof times in slow rivulets, a drop at a time. Moving forward was too much work. For now, he would lay down. The roof was nice and quiet.
The roof was safe.
