Kelpie Cavern Cabin Private

Maggie grinned, she was glad everyone else wasn’t as sleepy as she was. She noticed Charlotte’s frequent glances towards the boys’ cabin besides them, and she said to her, grinning, “I would invite them” she pointed her thumb towards the wall behind her, the wall that they shared with Dragon’s Den, “in any other circumstance, but this shit is confidential” she whispered the last part, completely aware that she looked a little more than goofy. “It’s also about them, or, well, one of them.” she added, speaking in a normal volume now. She pulled her trunk out more, grabbed her pillow through the bars of the top bunk, and laid the pillow on top of the lid, crossing her legs as she sat down on top of it. Min-seo was still in the shower, so Maggie decided to make small talk until she got here, well, Maggie hoped that she could keep her mouth shut for that long. “Charlotte, how’s your ankle?” she asked, remembering the incident from earlier today that she’d been told so much about. Maggie wasn’t actually there, but she’d heard that Charlotte had caught her foot on a rock or something and had actually twisted quite badly. “I heard Carson was your knight in shining armor there, huh?” she asked, jokingly winking at Charlotte. Maggie and Carson had been friends for, well, since she started at Hogwarts, and she could tell that the two Hufflepuffs would make a great pair.

Min-seo came out of the showers, drying her hair. She put it in a braid so it wouldn't tangle in the night. Min-seo flopped onto her bed like a dead fish. Today had been a long day, but she wasn't tired. She had changed into her pajamas, which consisted of an oversized shirt that went down to her knees with a pair of shorts under. She noticed the others were talking, so she grabbed her pillow and brought it down to where everyone was sitting.

"Hi guys, and oh yeah, Charlotte are you alright?" she asked softly. Hopefully the others heard. She had a naturally soft voice. She hated being shy, but she couldn't help it. She was scared of people judging her and such, so that didn't help whatsoever. She was small and looked like she was being swallowed by her shirt. The meek look didn't help either. She looked like a mouse with everyone else in her year. She sighed and looked back to everyone. She sat on her trunk and hugged her pillow. She wasn't too sleepy, so she was excited to talk with everyone and get to know them better. She crossed her legs and listened.

“Oh yeah,” Maggie said, as Charlotte asked Min-seo what she preferred to be called, “I have been wondering that too,” she said. “I am also gonna get both of our cabins together tomorrow night, just a heads up.” she said, vaguely waving her hand in the direction of the boys’ cabin. “I think we’re gonna do a partner game, like manhunt or something.” she said, thinking of the game she had played so often with her siblings and Muggle friends back home. “Who wants to be partnered up with who?” she asked, grinning slyly. She was proud of that question, that’s for sure. Maggie was sure Charlotte would want to be paired up with Carson, since he saved her life and all, and Maggie definitely had a preference. Before anyone else could say anything, she said, “I call dibs on Oliver!”, her cheeks brightening up a bit as she did so. She’d come to terms with the fact that she liked the Hufflepuff boy, and she was in full-on crush mode at this point. She grinned at the rest of her cabin, “What? He’s cute.” she said, her cheeks growing even redder. “What about you guys? Who’s gonna be your partner?”

Min-seo looked at the two girls with a soft smile. "It's up to you! I'm okay with either, but I'd prefer Min, plus it makes it a bit easier. she said, resting her chin on her pillow. She didn't really care what people called her, as long as it was easy for them. She turned to Charlotte with a smile. "No problem! I'm just glad you're okay!" she said. She perked up at the mention of a game. "I've never heard of that game, to be honest I don't know a lot of games so that isn't saying much." she said with a small chuckle. She giggled at Maggie for calling dibs on Oliver. Maggie must like him a lot. Min scrunched up her button nose, thinking, at the mention of who they wanted to partners with. She didn't know. She'd only met Carson. She shrugged slightly to the group."Well, I don't know, nor do I have a preference. They all seem quite kind. I've never met them. Plus, when they find out they're with me they'll probably be disappointed," she said. She was totally being honest. They probably knew everyone in this cabin except for her. She hugged her pillow a bit tighter.

After Min joined them, their cabin was complete again. She was glad Charlotte had asked her preference in names, as she had been wondering herself. Tatiana remembered a brief discussion from Maggie’s lake party about which name she liked to go by, but couldn’t quite remember the specifics. She was too nervous to ask herself, as she typically tried to remember these things, but she wanted to make the girl feel comfortable.

As Maggie brought up the plan to join the boys’ cabin for games the following day, she started offering pairs. She assumed Charlotte would like to be paired with her savior from the day, Carson, and claimed Oliver as her own teammate. The giddy nature she was talking about pairing up with the boys made Tatiana blush. She hadn’t really thought about any of them that way before. She didn’t really have a preference, but if she had to be honest, she did know Mac better than she knew Dale and felt like she could relate to him. After hearing Min say she didn’t really prefer one over the other, she offered, “Uhm well, if we’re picking, I guess I’d like Mac as my teammate.” She knew him from Maggie, but he was also in her house, and seemed like he’d be a good competitor. Plus, she felt they could both relate to their Muggle upbringings.

Maggie grinned, “Alright, I guess it’ll be Charlotte and Carson, Min and Dale, Tatiana and Mac, and me and Oliver.” she said, not failing to notice how almost everyone (except her) had been paired up with someone from their own house. Some part of her liked the fact that it turned out that way, like puzzle pieces clicking together. It would’ve bothered her that she and Oliver weren’t in the same house to make it full circle, but she was too happy about being paired up with the boy to care. “Manhunt is basically a game of team tag,” Maggie began,“except it’s in the dark.” she added, attempting to sound scary but failing miserably. “You and your partner run around the campsite either hiding or looking for the other teams, and once you’re found or you find someone, you join their team and help look for the others until you get them all. Eventually it’s one team running away from all the others, which is why it’s called manhunt.” she concluded, excited at the prospect of playing the game tomorrow night. “I’ll give everyone flashlights, but you’d be smart not to use them at all. You can use your wand for Lumos as well, of course, but no other spells than that. Y’know what, let’s just save the explaining for tomorrow— who wants to play hotseat?” Maggie’s Muggle games must’ve been either foreign to the muggleborns or just foreign in general, because the girls didn’t look like they knew what that was either. “It’s where one person sits in the middle of the room, but it doesn’t really matter if they do that or not, whatever, anyways,” she realized she was getting off track and steered herself back to the topic, “everyone asks them a question, preferably juicy and pressing,” she smirked, “and they have to answer it. Not really, but you kind of do, y’know?” she laughed, she’d never passed up a question on hotseat: it was an amazing opportunity to get things off her chest. “I’ll go first.” Maggie volunteered, dragging her trunk the the middle of the room and sitting on it. “Fire away.”

So she was paired up with Dale. She didn't know who he was, but she knew that they would have fun nonetheless. According to people he was quite kind, so she wasn't worried. The only problem was...she was shy, and she didn't know him, and she was kind of freaking out internally. She told herself that it was going to be okay. The only thing was, she felt like they were suggesting that they choose who they, well, like like. Min-seo was part Veela, so she hoped that her charms didn't work. Thank god she could kinda sorta control them. Plus, she had someone else on her mind. She turned to Charlotte with a sad smile. "Well, I wouldn't be surprised if they were," She said, burrowing her face in her pillow. She shook out of that thought and turned back to Maggie. She giggled as Maggie pretended to be scary, but it didn't really work. She smiled."Sounds like a fun game, I'm excited, but please don't try and scare me, I'm a scaredy cat," she said, laughing a bit. She was kind of afraid of the dark, but not too scared. Min-seo thought of a question to ask Maggie. She shrugged. "If you were going to have your first kiss with anyone in the boy's cabin, besides Oliver, who would it be?" she asked.
