Magical Drafts and Potions
Charlotte was so focused into her studies that she didn't even realise the boy was still waiting there. Her homework was a little harder than anticipated and she didn't know how long it was going to take her to finish it. She brushed the tip of her quill on her face as she read the instructions once more. Sighing, she frowned and followed the words with her finger, reading it carefully. It was confusing.
Not really knowing what to do, she glanced around the library to see if any of the students could perhaps make it a little more clear. Well, it seemed like no-one was --
She squinted, only to the boy, the same one as earlier, still sitting at the exact same place. Was he still waiting? How long was he willing to wait before she handed her the book? He's incredibly patient, she thought to herself.
As she looked at him, she realised his eyes kept darting from her book to his. Well, he definitely started to look impatient now. Charlotte didn't really know what to do. She still had more than half of her homework to complete, and would've liked to finish today. But that meant staying here all morning, and the Slytherin boy wasn't going to wait that long... As per usual, she bit her lip, thinking.
Finally, she stood up but didn't walk towards him just yet. Would he be annoyed if she came back to talk to him? Well, it was worth a try. An other try.
Silently, she walked towards the boy, a shy smile on her face.
'Uhh, I see you're still waiting for the book. Let's say that I have a big homework that's due in two days, and I really have to do it today.' she looked at him as she shrugged. 'What I'm trying to say is that, if you're waiting 'til I'm done to have it, you're probably going to miss lunch... Wanna share the book?'
Well, this was his last chance.

Magical Drafts and Potions
Noah was getting tired as time passed. He was considering leaving and coming back during the evening, was there any point in staying there instead of enjoying the day if he wasn’t even going to study? But his chain of thoughts was broken by the girl walking towards him.
He stood up, hoping she was done and was going to give him the book now. But after hearing what she had to say, Noah mentally sighed.
Noah really didn’t want to study with anyone else; it would be a waste of his time. But then, it wasn’t like sitting around and waiting for her to be done was a good thing either, right? He was wasting time either way.
He looked through her for a few seconds, weighing his options, but for some reason, it felt like it wasn’t even something to think about, the answer felt obvious. Maybe he should study with her, it would be slower than normal but it would be something.
Noah came back to the room, “That is the best option we have for now.” He said, with a shrug. For some reason, he felt extremely skeptical about it still. Maybe it was just not having done anything like that before? He felt weird, nervous, almost. No, he had to focus on his studies and remember basic mannerisms. She was willing to help him even though she didn’t have to really, “Thank you.” He said, following her to the desk.

Charlotte smiled at the boy warmly before heading back to the desk where she sat earlier. She wondered what the boy thought as this moment, probably that he would've prefered studying alone, but Charlotte didn't mind the company.“That is the best option we have for now. Thank you."
Before they sat down, Charlotte held her hand out.
'I'm Charlotte Cadunt, by the way. Nice to meet you' she said, waiting for the boy to introduce himself.
She sat down, taking her quill in hand.
'Struggling a bit with Potions too?' she said a grin on her face, looking at her notes as she was writing. She didn't quite know if they were going to gave a conversation, a few exchanged words or simply stay silent. To be perfectly honest, Charlotte hoped dearly the boy wouldn't talk so she could just focus on her writing and homework, leaving the library as soon as possible. Fortunately, he didn't seem like much of the talkative kind. She waited for his answer as she focused on writing neatly, mostly not making any ink droplets all over her now clean and spot free.
She could hear the silent and distant murmur of students chatting in the row behind them, the doors opening and faint footsteps, all of this in a silent background felt very relaxing, and helped her focus.

Noah sat down, still not sure about it. He had already wasted a lot of time though, he had to get to work now instead of thinking about how things could have turned out. He took out his books and quill and looked into the textbook.
'I'm Charlotte Cadunt, by the way. Nice to meet you.’
"Noah Page." he said, not looking up till he noticed she had her hand out. He shook it, handshakes were awkward and he didn't want to leave her hanging on that, he had had enough experiences on handshakes. But he didn’t have time to waste on chatting, it would be much better if he simply got his work done with and went to the hall for some food, he wasn't exactly hungry yet but he had a feeling hew ould be soon enough.
'Struggling a bit with Potions too?'
Noah sighed, he didn’t exactly like the fact that he was, “A bit. I just wouldn’t be studying it if I had a choice.” It wasn't exactly the subject as a whole that was the problem, he was alright with theory and stuff, he struggled a bit with remembering some names but it was nothing he couldn't fix with a little extra effort. His real problems came with the practicals, Noah struggled with delicate tasks because of his somewhat shaky hand and Potions was bassicly trying to make fun of him for it, not good at all.

OOC:
So sorry for the late response!
Even though Charlotte found the boy's answer somewhat rude and annoyed, she didn't say a thing, assuming he must've had his reasons. She pursed her lips and took a deep breath, trying to concentrate once more on the chapter she was studying. Soon enough, the only sound that resonnated in the library was the scratching of the quill on the rough parchment and the occansional page-flipping. Charlotte enjoyed this quite a lot, as most of Hogwarts was always noisy. The library and her common room early in the morning were the only places this calming silence could be felt.
Although, now that she thought about it, most of the corridors and rooms were silent, but an opressing and yet-to-be-broken silence.
She blinked, extracting herself out of her deep thoughts, only to realise she had been writing the same few words over and over again.
Cure for Boils
Well, the homework wasn't going to complete itself, and she ought to hurry if she wanted to hand her homework in time. She quickly glanced sideways to see if Noah was doing the same as hers. Unable to read what he had written properly with out fully turning her head, she cleared her thoat.
'Homework on Cure for Boils too?' she asked timidly, her eyebrows raised. 'Can't seem to remember the first step, nor if you're supposed to put the Porcupine quills before or after taking your cauldron off the fire...' Was she disturbing him? She couldn't really tell, but waited for him to answer as she took out a new piece of parchment, writing the title one last time as neatly as she could.

Noah wasn’t having too much difficulty with things, it was still fairly simple and Noah made sure to be extremely careful in Potions and gave all he had to the subject, but his problem wasn't even something he could fix by studying, he was just trying to make sure he didn't lose any grades in theory, at least.
He read everything carefully, and started working on his homework, not looking up for anything an mostly having forgotten that he was in the library.
He was almost shocked to hear the girl sitting next to him say something, he had forgotten about her too. ”Homework on Cure for Boils too?”
“Huh...?” Noah didn’t react much, he didn’t react at all, it took him a few seconds to process what she had said.

He slowly nodded, “Cure for Boils.” He thought about everything, he had memorzied most of what he had learned in class and he was pretty good at that, if only potions didn’t have practical stuff. “You heat your potion first before putting anything into it. And they go after you take the cauldron off the fire I think, I’m not entirely sure about that.” He said with a little sigh, he couldn’t remember that part. he had to revise more, he couldn't afford to keep forgetting things like that in such an important subject.

“You heat your potion first before putting anything into it. And they go after you take the cauldron off the fire I think, I’m not entirely sure about that.”
She looked at him and smiled gently to thank him as she nodded.
'I heard if you mess up the steps, you can get your cauldron to melt. I really, really don't want that to happen.'
A few minutes passed and Charlotte finally find the information she was looking for in the book. Her whole parchment was filled with her neat yet handwriting that took her a few years to perfect. She sat in the back of her chair to have an overall look at the homework she was about to give the following day.
Pretty good, she thought to herself. She read it once or twice before rolling storing it neatly in her folder simply titled 'Homework'. She checked her watch only to see she still had time to head back to her common room and finish her History of Magic homework too.
Her bag on the table, she tucked her ink in before putting her quill delicately and finally her folder, taking special care not to touch the quill. Silently, she stood up and pushed her chair towards the table without disturbing Noah, who was still writing. She put her bag on her shoulder and waved slightly.
'Bye, good luck !'
she whispered as she looked at him, her eyebrows raised.
She made her way out of the library that was now much more crowded and full of whispers here and there. One last glance at Noah and she pushed the heavy doors, sliding into the corridor.Charlotte Cadunt has left the thread

Noah kept doing his work, it may not have been that difficult but it sure was long, now that he thought about it, he actually was getting sort of hungry.
'I heard if you mess up the steps, you can get your cauldron to melt. I really, really don't want that to happen.'
Of course you wouldn't want your cauldron to melt, no one would. Noah nodded and kept at his homework, he didn't have much time for chat, he just wanted to get it done with and eat some food.
Fortunately, she didn't say much after that. He was actually nearing the end of his homework in a few minutes, thought that didn't mean it would take him less than ten minutes to finish it off. That's when Noah decided to take a breath and stop writing for a bit and he realised Charlotte was finally done with her homework and was about to leave, " 'Bye, good luck !'
Noah looked up at her and nodded, "Goodbye." He said as he looked back at his homework. Now, he really didn't feel like waiting in the library anymore, but he didn't have much of a choice. Even then, it would probably be easier to work, now that he was alone. He gave out a sigh and went back to writing, hoping it would be over soon. The homework was rather simple but he knew that this was bassicly nothing, and if he was already struggling with it, wouldn't the later lessons bassicly be hell for him? Noah wasn't really excited about Potions all that much no matter how he tried to look at it.
