The Great Potions Heist
As much as she huffed and have him dirty looks, Kyle knew Quin was having a good time, so he let her have her moments without griping. Some people liked mischief, others liked trouble. Still make a good team regardless. He gives her a nod as well as she takes one of the Jars. Then as soon as she turns her back and starts walking away he makes a show of looking for more to take, but in reality takes a Gryffindor Patch and places it where the boomslang skin was kept before they took it. He grinned mischievously and moved away and kept looking. He didn’t know what anything else was and honestly he didn’t care. He had what he wanted.
With a shrug he moves past Quin and whispers ”just grab something in a cool vial and let’s go”once he gets to the door he crouched real low and slowly opens the door just a crack and looks out into the hallway, looking left and right. He waits a moment as he listens hard for any sounds of foot steps on the stone before he opens the door more and slips outside. He examines the surroundings before dipping back inside just long enough to give Quin an “All Clear” sign before sliding back out the door. He would keep watch until she joined him and then head back to their room. He was many things, but he never left someone behind

[quote]"Just grab something in a cool vial and let’s go” he said. It would be easy, he said.
Spoiler alert: it was not.
Marla stood by the shelves for (I kid you not) five minutes in dead silence. She looked up at everything, trying to find out what to grab. It was quite overwhelming, after all. Why was it so hard to choose? What if she took something that if you drank it, it would, well, combust? So, instead of getting a potion, Marla found a really nice quill on the professor's desk and took that instead. It couldn't hurt, right? It was just a quill.
Before she knew it, Marla saw Rook walking out the door and ran after him.
"Wait up!" She whisper-yelled, sneaking out the door when he gave her an all-clear signal. Although Rook was very... Interesting, she found it very relieving that he didn't leave her behind. It felt like the two were becoming more friendly, and like he could be worthy of her trust.
"I ended up just grabbing this." She showed him the quill, it was pretty anti-climactic, but if Marla stole anything else, she might've felt really guilty. Especially because she liked Professor Nagal. If she stole anything important from the man, Marla was sure she couldn't look him in the eye ever again, despite being somewhat of a trouble-maker herself.

The Great Potions Heist
Aurelia was on patrol duties that day. The way she did patrols was start at the bottom and finish her vigil back up in the Gryffindor Dormitory. Most times, luck would be in her favor and she would not encounter any shenanigans whom she would not have to deal with. The potions classroom was where Aurelia frequently visited for the lectures obviously and to brew batches of Forgetfulness potions. At this time of night, the basements were eerily dark and not to mention, cold. The voices that followed were not expected. The Gryffindor Prefect let out an internal sigh of frustration. She would have to deal with these students.
There was the padding of footsteps against the cobblestone floor coming her way. At least she didn’t need to do the chasing. She stood at corner, waiting for them to unintentionally approach her. When they were near enough, Aurelia stepped from the shadows. “It’s past curfew.” She said stating the obvious. She took a quick glance at them and the corner of her lips turned downwards when she realised the two of them were from Gryffindor. At least these students were ordinary shenanigans and not toilet bowl exploding maniacs who stabbed random students. Handling them would be easy.
In the girl’s hand was a quill, a rather fancy one. It made her eyebrow raise slightly. “Is that yours?” She asked.

The Great Potions Heist
As the door closed behind them Kyle was certain they were in the clear. They had been quiet, they waste a lot of time, it was pitch black in the halls. There’s no way they were getting caught. Then as if like magic (figuratively speaking) a prefect shows up out of nowhere and takes the fancy quill away Quin and he frowns. He sighs and sets down the jar of boomsling skin and lifts his arms up as if the cops had just busted in and he was surrendering
”alright you caught me let’s get this over with. But Quin here didn’t do anything wrong alright? I practically dragged her out here by her ears. Needed her to alohomora the door for me. She’s a hostage not an accomplice”
He sighed and hung his head in defeat like he was disappointed he got caught. But In reality he couldn’t be more excited. Getting busted gets you a rap sheet. And getting a rap sheet gets you a reputation. Besides, the heist was successful. The escape even went down. Just got busted during the getaway. All in all he considered tonight a win. He wasn’t sure if his gambit would work, but maybe it would earn him some credit in Quin’s eyes

The Great Potions Heist
[quote]Marla immediately felt panic in her gut as a prefect had approached the two. They were absolutely, positively screwed. “It’s past curfew.” She stated, which made the redhead roll her eyes. No kidding. Thanks for the reminder, lady. The prefect glanced down at the quill Marla had taken, questioning if it was hers.
"Of course it is. Who spends their precious time stealing a freaking quill?" She asked the prefect in a sarcastic tone, not afraid to speak up. When she glanced at Rook, the girl's face was evidently confused as he was putting his hands up in surrender. Was he stupid? There was still time to run away so they could avoid getting in trouble. Marla raised a brow as he opened his mouth to speak.

She’s a hostage, not an accomplice He said, which Marla couldn't help but feel grateful for. There was no way in hell she was letting him take the blame, but that didn't mean she couldn't feel gratitude for the boy. And man, he was a pretty good actor. The Gryffindor looked genuinely disappointed about being caught.
"Are you absolutely stupid? I'm not letting you take the blame," she looked up at the prefect, a glint of anger in her eyes, "I told him that if he didn't sneak out with me then I'd burn his homework. It wasn't his fault." She falsely admitted, giving Rook a 'if you say something else I'll murder you' kind of look. She was the one who willingly snuck out with him, and she wasn't letting the poor boy get in trouble.

The Great Potions Heist
Aurelia did not believe these Gryffindors one bit. They weren’t very convincing either. Daring and Chivalrous the sorting hat had said Gryffindors were and these two were exact proof of the existence of the stereotypes. There was a slight raise of the brunette’s eyebrow as the boy set down two jars of... whatever that was inside. So these Gryffindors came to the classroom to steal ingredients. Aurelia brewed and took Forgetfulness potion often and knew that ingredients did not come cheap but never had she stolen from the classroom.
Nevertheless, Aurelia chose to ignore them assuming that whatever works came out of their mouths were untruths. “After you put the quill and the two jars back inside the room, I will lead you back to the common room.” The Prefect said with a slight scowl forming on her lips. She was particularly annoyed that she had came all the way down from her dormitories just to head back up again.
After both Gryffindors had put the items back, Aurelia led them up the steps towards the dormitory, every now and then peering over her shoulder to ensure that they did not scuttle away. Once they reached, she muttered the password to the Fat Lady and held the door open for both of them to enter. “I will arrange a timing for both of you to serve your punishment soon.” She said once both of them had stepped through and shut the door after that.
