Ravenclaw v Slytherin
Alexx looked at the crowd with fond eyes. Screams and cheers and the sound of people speaking- it was all flooding her. Was this what Tex felt when he was in her place? Playing for Slytherin all those years ago? Or maybe it wasn't that long ago. Maybe it was sooner than she remembered. Either way, she was living up to his potential. A young man that should be playing for some professional team right now but wasn't because of his family. A young man who was clouded by sadness because he could never be who he wanted to be. Suddenly, Alexx was just like him. And it was raining. How melancholy.
She hopped onto her broom, flying out, giving a smile to not just the crowd, but her team too. Alexx hated the rain, but she would suffer through it for her team. She wished she were in another position- playing Seeker right now. That was what she wanted. But she was a Chaser, and that was good enough. Tex would be proud regardless. The thought made her smile. Getting into position, she kept a sharp eye on the Quaffle, watching it as if her life depended on it. Her breath hitched, and she inhaled sharply. Now or never.

Ravenclaw v Slytherin
When Angellica had tried out for the Quidditch team, she hadn’t expected this. In fact, she wasn’t quite sure what she had expected, only that this was her father’s favoured sport, that she wanted to be accepted, and that she wanted to be an asset to her house.
There she stood on the pitch, hair in a drooping ponytail that lay flat and wet against her robes. As if it hadn’t been enough the game had been delayed, making it that her stomach was in knots, as though serpents had taken up residence in her gut, fitting considering the opposing team. So many gazes on her as she shakily stood at her space in the pit, looking around to the other players to know how to stand, how to be set, ready, perhaps even intimidating, but she feared she simply looked like a washed out blonde kelpie.
The team had built a strategy, and she had her orders set. She knew what to do, and with that in minds she gripped her bat tightly in her right hand as she drove with her left. There were advantages to have dexterity with both sides, but her right had always been stronger, at least when it came to hitting things, or eating. The chill of the wind caused her cheeks to glow pink. Cutting through the air she found her position, bat at the ready, happy to send a bludger merrily on its way to anyone that would near their rings.

Arc closed his eyes and raised his head up to the sky, letting the drizzling, steady rain washed his face. The water cooled his head down. He had been thinking about how things could have gone wrong, stratagem, rules and many others. He had read and cramped up as many books as he could about Quidditch plays. And the dark-haired boy and his teammates had trained for this diligently. They just needed to stick to the plan, played according to practice, and everything would turn out well. No need for wild thoughts, no need for second guessing.
“Broomy, let’s go fast!” Arc said to Broomy.
The scrawny boy mounted the broom and took off, heading towards his position. He had grown leaps and bounds since his first lesson of flying and he felt very confident on his broom. This was a tricky game, though, not only a flying race, so there were a lot of things to conside… No, no, he only needed to stick to the plan. Stick to the plan!

Cecily closed her eyes and took a deep breath. This was the day that she had been waiting for forever-- her first Quidditch match, a day to make her dad proud of her-- but all she felt was an intense need to throw up. The nerves were the only thing she could feel, not a shred of excitement. She had been on a broom since she was small, but it was if everything she knew about flying went out the window as soon as she heard the roar of the crowds.
Taking another breath, the Ravenclaw mounted her broom alongside her fellow players. Hearing her name, she kicked off and soared into the air. Instantly, all of her nerve disappeared. She knew how to do this. She just had to trust her instincts. Taking position, the girl impatiently waited to be off so she could finally, finally get out of her own head.ACTION: take position on pitch

~ * ~Playing a Quidditch game in the rain did not seem to be a good idea. After all, in their flying lessons, they had been warned about rain, as it could make the broom shafts too slippery or cause the players to get too cold when they undoubtedly got soaked. Ruby was slightly worried about the safety of this, but Headmaster Lear knew what he was doing, right? Even though there was lightning and all of that…? Not that Ruby disliked storms, certainly not. She enjoyed the rain quite a lot, in fact, and was not one to shy away from it. She didn't want the game to be canceled, either, but would postponing it to a day with better weather really be that bad?
Listen to the adults, she told herself with slight annoyance. Which adult should she listen to, though? The Headmaster, or the Professor of Flying? Rule number two that had been taught to them also didn't really apply to Quidditch, but at least she could still check that her broom was in good condition, which it was.
The young Slytherin took a moment to appreciate what was around her in general, and listen to the sounds of the crowd, the rain, and the beginning of what the announcer was saying. She mounted her broom and soared up into the skies of the pitch when her name was called. The feeling of the wind on her face and running through her hair was something that she loved. Being up high was another thing that she enjoyed in general, and it was a different feeling to being on the ground. She climbed trees quite a lot to feel the same way and to gain access to the best views.
She got in position and glanced around, watching her other teammates do the same. Playing a game of Quidditch after she had gone to watch games, read about it, heard about it from her cousins, flown with her cousins before she came here, and after doing flying lessons seemed amazing, and she knew that it would probably be a different experience to most of what she had done before.
She could feel the eyes of the crowd watching the players, but she supposed that she would just have to get used to it. The balls were released into the field and Ruby, as a Chaser, watched the Quaffle, ready to make a move when the time was right.~ * ~

@Dan Palmer and @Amanda Sparrow have not mounted their brooms and entered the field. The other students however would make their way onto the field and their presence would cause the crowd to erupt into roar of applause and cheers. A few of the students would call out their favorite names.
"Let's hear it for your teams. Team Slytherin and Team Ravenclaw!" The crowd would reach a crescendo to the point of a deafening roar. The sound of thunder rumbling in the distance and the continual deluge of rain did not hinder the performance. Solomon would pass his umbrella over to the announcer and take pull his wand. Like the announcer, he too would amplify his voice.
"I wand to have a good, clean" he looked over at the Slytherin team "...game." He took the great box onto the ground, the water had already saturated the sponge-like earth and a puddle of water formed along the bottom of the wooden shell. He would kneel down onto the earth, he could feel the water seep into his armor and his knees would feel soggy. It was gross, but the haze of the rain would obfuscate his expression. "You know the routine, I will release the snitch and the quaffle would be up for grabs... stay clear of the bludgers, have your bats readied. This is a dangerous game, don't kill each other... your parents are huge fans but our nurses are incredibly overworked." A truth, with the number of injuries suffered by the student body to well erm... the student body was more than the Headmaster ever expected -- How did Professor Blackburn ever manage?
He would open the latch and the snitch would buzz into the air, the little golden sphere would disappear in a twinkle, it would take a keen eye to find it again. The bludgers would shoot into the air as if placed on tightly set springs has shot the pair of bludgers into the air and they wizzed overhead. Someone was going to break their leg, Solomon just knew it. He grimaced at the thought as he took the quaffle from its casing. "Game on!" Solomon shouted as he lobbed the red ball into the air and quickly moved out of the way of what would prove to be a frenzied battle for the Quaffle.
River would fly off in search of the snitch, she had the advantage - thus far Dan was a no-show. She would have to make the most of it.
Meanwhile Elijah would simply wait on his end of the field, he was lucky this time -- nobody came for him but these goals can happen quickly. He would need to stay on his toes. He like Elena Jones and Koko Riddle had no need to intervene, be placed in a perilous situation and their team had scoed the first point. Things were looking good for Team Slytherin.
Emma and Angellica were ready for the worst to happen, maybe not for one of them to fall but in case the assault was aimed as the Keeper. To Hengist's good fortune he was not targeted but if he was the ladies were going to protect him well. It is a wonder the boy did not know how popular he was with the girls.

As the teams collided, each attempting to take possession of the Quaffle the ball would fumble between their fingers, each of them trying to snatch it up while remaining in flight on their broomstick. In the end both Ruby Cazarez for Team Slytherin and Arc Perscivious would wrestle over possession of the Quaffle. Ruby would eventually tear the Quaffle from Arc's possession and speed away with the Quaffle towards the Ravenclaw rings. Warren had ambition, he wanted to get the first take-down, he would slam his bat into a bludger and the small, hard ball would be shot in the direction of Arc Perscivious. 'This is why I don't like sports' Hengist thought. The game just started and already he'd failed to protect the rings. He had no idea why Emma wanted him to join the team so badly after telling her that he wasn't that good at sports. He told her that what he did in class was probably a fluke. She didn't believe him. Maybe now she does.
Although, he wasn't really used to riding his broom in the rain, or even a big fan of rain to begin with. This could be why he's feeling even more self conscious than usual. Even though the Pepperup Potion cured the common cold, Hengist was still very susceptible to colds. Also, he couldn't stand the effects of the potion, notably the steam out the ears was a very uncomfortable sensation for him. Because of this, he preferred to avoid getting sick as much as possible. Obviously not going to happen today.
There he goes again, getting distracted by every little thought in his brain. He needed to refocus and shut it off. Not an easy feat for him. 'Stop it,' he thought, 'it's just one goal. As long as I don't let any more in, River should be able to end the game. It doesn't look like the Slytherin's seeker came on the field for some reason.' This thought emboldened him, and he refocused on the game.

Dan finished getting ready -He had gotten the wrong size equipment and had to rush to get the right ones- and bolted out onto the field. The minute he was clear, he mounted his broom and took off to his position. As he didn't instantly see the snitch, he pulled double scanning duty. Meaning, as he looked about for the tiny golden ball, he also watched the other team. He made sure to mentally tag the beaters on the enemy team, to know to go into evasive maneuvers if he saw one of them attempting to swing towards him.
His shock came, however, when he noticed who the Seeker on the enemy team was. The red hair gave her away immediately: It was River, from back when he'd gotten stuck in the tree.
Dan felt a slight bit torn here; he didn't realize that he'd be playing against one of his friends, and certainly didn't think he would be directly competing against her position for position. But, this was Quidditch, and he knew -well, hoped, really- that no hard feelings would be had. Especially since his desire to win, and thus make up for being a dope and being late rapidly began to outweigh his dislike for competing against a friend.
Finally, his scanning done, he went off in search of that tiny little golden ball. Dan was determined to find it. He had to make up for his blunder. He simply HAD to.

The game had started, and people were setting lff at great speeds, trying to help their team out. River was quite happy she was seeker for this game, as she was usually one who worked better alone. Of course, she never minded working in a group either, it just wasn’t her speciality.
She looked around the pitch, the player they had been missing seemed to have found their place now, which River was very thankful for.
Right, the plan is, find the snitch, that sounded simple, but in reality, it was not. River tried focusing on her suroundings, blocking out any distractions, while still keeping a good eye out for any bludgers or opponents trying to knock her off her broom.
River sighed slightly, as she realized slytherin had already scored the first goal. She definitely wasn’t a sore looser, but preffered to win none the less, who doesn’t?
So far, no snitch was in sight, but her eyes kept searching closely for it.

She was late, and it was all that stupid broom’s fault. Her prized Nimbus had been nowhere to be found that morning, which had sent Amanda into a nervous frenzy, not to mention the fact that she had also woken up later than she should’ve. Those “five more minutes” had stockpiled and boy, did she pay for it.
Her thin legs moved as fast as they could as Amanda raced out to the field, tightly clutching both bat and broom. Without slowing down or skipping a beat, she smoothly mounted her broom and took off, bat in hand. Her eyes scanning the field, Amanda noticed her best friend Emma and gave her a wide grin and a wink as she flew over, as if to say “we’ve got this.” Even though Slytherin was already ten points ahead, Amanda had faith in her team.
The butterflies had started up and Amanda could feel her stomach twisting with nervousness. This was her first real game, after all, and when you got on the field, silly scrimmages with your cousins didn’t count. Amanda made brief eye contact with Emma and raised her bat as a bludger hurtled in their direction. Hoping that her friend would do the same, Amanda swung her bat and hit the bludger at a certain Slytherin player.
