Just added a second post. Hoping all the confusion is over; either way my participation will be much more increased now.
Mari is also unaware that the punch is spiked.
Mari is also unaware that the punch is spiked.
Mari was slightly shocked when Bezu took the punch so willingly. Although she had not personally had a negative interaction with the prefect, Mari could not deny that Bezu was quite prickly and seemed to have a "holier than thou" attitude towards others. She supposed there wasn't a rule against taking food and drink from the party, but Mari would not have put it past Bezu to use this time as a great lecture opportunity for keeping things where they belong and not nicking things and whatnot. Bezu just seemed like that sort of person.
She also was a little shocked that Bezu had just assumed the glimpse of shadow was a forest creature, but she shrugged in response. It hadn't seemed like a forest creature, but as a first year, Mari knew that she didn't know much. She wasn't really looking for enemies at this point, either. There was no use arguing. She didn't really have anywhere else to go at this point except to leave the ball altogether, having decided that the ball and the lake was too overwhelming - a cordial conversation with Bezu was just about her best chance at a successful night. Plus you aren't really brave enough to argue with a prefect, are you, Mari? a small voice in the back of her head inquired. Mari had a weird feeling that it was the punch talking, but shrugged it off. You only stood up to the prefect before because you were scared by everything else. You are a coward.
Mari grimaced but hoped the older girl did not notice. Luckily, it seemed she hadn't, as Bezu suggested that they go inside. Mood changing quickly, Mari grinned appreciatively; forest creature or not, she felt some unease at the shadow and if there was an alternate, safer opportunity to chat, she would take it.
She followed the girl inside and gasped audibly. After quite a few months at Hogwarts, Mari was surprised that magic could still astound her like this. She hadn't honestly been expecting it too be quite so large; from the outside, the Cabin of the Thestral looked quite ordinary yet auspicious. She noticed some pale decorations and furniture, though could not make out their intricate details in the darkness; the spider's web glinted from the moonlight's glow over all of it. The most unique part of the cabin, in Mari's opinion, was the large fireplace in the middle. Mari envied her peers who would be comfortable enough leaving their families to go to the summer camp and thus would be able to spend nights by the beautiful stone fixture.
She shut the door as Bezu settled herself on a bunk. Mari took her cues and followed, perching herself on one nearby, bringing her knees to her chest. She had put the remaining food and drink on a table nearby, so that Bezu knew she was as welcome to it as Mari was. Mari wasn't quite confident that anyone else would join them. She hoped that Bezu wouldn't realized that Mari had just grabbed punch aimlessly instead of with purpose of meeting others; though she wouldn't be surprised if news of her friendless existence had floated along the halls of Hogwarts, Mari was just hoping that she still had some dignity in tact to the older girl. She needed to not look like a complete loser once Lucy came to school.
Bezu took a bite and groaned, inquiring if all the food tasted like that. Mari shrugged and reached to bite her own portion. "Mine tastes wonderful...like chocolate cake!" She brightened, pleased with the result. Mouth full with another bite, she added, "Perhaps you had one that was mistakenly added to the food selection?"
She grinned. This was what normal conversation was like. How she wished Lucy and Grace could see her now, in this moment, instead of the awkward conversations she had had throughout her first year of school. They would, perhaps, be proud and willing to call her their sister.
This feeling of relief didn't last too long, however, as Bezu jumped right into the topic Mari so desperately wanted to avoid: the events of the abandoned toilets. “I’m sorry about what happened. I wasn’t able to stop it being unconscious half of the time. I hope you weren’t to severely injured.”
A long silence emerged as Mari questioned what to respond with. Uncertain as to what motivated her to say the entire truth, she swallowed and murmured, "It's my fault. I should have listened to you. He stabbed me, you know. Mum and Dad were so mad at me; they both told me that I should have listened to 'that wonderful prefect girl who deserves a raise.' I don't know what got into me...I just want to make my sisters proud, but I feel like every decision I make is wrong. You know what I was doing in those toilets, that day? Crying. Because in all these months at schooling, I still don't feel like I deserve to be here."
She could say more, but whatever that was inside of her that dictated she say all of these truths seemed to think that she did not need to get more into her misery. It did, however, feel the need to force her to add as an afterthought: "Do you know that this is my third time meeting you and I still don't know your name? I've just thought of you as Bezu this whole time." She took another sip of punch, glad the sugar warmed her insides while her failures had chilled her, and added, solemnly, "No wonder I have no friends..."

It was getting darker by the second as the glowing orange sun lowered itself into the hills far away. Aurelia did not mind the dark but could not help but wonder if there were any lamps in the room or had the bunkers simply used the fireplace for a light source during the night? The Gryffindor took another gulp of punch to wash down the horrid taste of salty fish down.
“Lucky for you, Dear. Someone probably thought it was funny to put a fish flavoured cupcake into the selection.” The girl scowled. Dear? Why had she used that term all of a sudden? It sounded like what her Mother used on her back in the mansion at home. It felt like her inner thoughts were slowly floating up and breaking the surface. Aurelia listen as Mari began her relatively long rant.
“Don’t be silly, Hon. Everybody with the tiniest drop of magic in their blood deserves to be in this school. So long as you don’t burn the whole blossomball down like what that blasted Charles York did last year or go stabbing other students for no apparent reason like Kaegen Deathmoron.” Aurelia responded, sitting up when she felt something like a slight subtle tickling sensation on the inside of her head, her mind actually, as if nudging her to spill more of her thoughts.
“It is Aurelia Bezuidenhout. But I don’t mind ‘Bezu’. Though, my Mother does not fancy the use of nicknames especially much. She says it’s unprofessional and impolite... pureblood stuff. Once again, I don’t mind, Bezu, my first nickname ever.” She said all this in a single breath, laughing slightly. Why was she talking so much? It wasn’t like her.
“If you don’t have any Friends, I can be your first. I don’t click well with others, either they think up too uptight or intimidating. It’s all about the first impressions and they’d turn against you.” Aurelia sighed. How many friends did she actually have? Ami, not really, she hadn’t talked to Ami in a few months, the same with Amadea Campbell who she got along with during the first year. Some first year Gryffindor kid she barely knew? She doubt that was counted. Howie? Nope, they were... Oh Gosh, she totally forgot about that potion they had agreed upon their deal. Aurelia took a mental note to contact him soon. With all the recent events, especially after she was knocked unconscious for 4 full days after the Diffindo spell caused her to lose an absurd amount of blood, she had totally forgotten about anything else in her schedule.
Aurelia broke from the sudden train of thought. “Thats a nice thing you parents had said. It’s true, I do get paid. Honestly, I didn’t expect to even get the position in the first place after my two detentions with Emma Hill and the fact that a few professors know I abuse Forgetfulness Potion.” Instantly, hand swung up and slapped over her mouth. Why on earth did she tell Mari that? She barely knew her and yet was spilling all her secrets. A few students in Hogwarts did know of her potion usage, but she never told anyone, they found out. Why was Mari an exception. Something was wrong.
Then she heard a whisper, like a hushed voice that lasted for a split second. It did not sound like Mari but yet she asked, hoping to direct the conversation in another direction, “Sorry dear, did you say something?”

@Aurelia Bezuidenhout [prerequisite posts: Link 1 | Link 2] arrived shortly after nightfall. The moon was a thin crescent shape suspended in the heavens. There were no twinkle light, magically lit candles or other purposeful source of illumination, but there were a few stars starting to peer through the darkness in what would be a clear spring night. The rough, slate tiles of the cabins, some structures more grand than others were outlined in silver moonlight. The sounds of revelry behind her, a muted roar that went silent shortly after she left the rocky shore of the lake. Aurelia had passed someone along the way but they were beneath her notice staring from the tree line.
The mind, sometimes utterly unaware that it knows more than it should. The young Prefect would experience this unshakable feeling that she was being watched. It was like a scene from a horror movie where the young heroine would go into the dark basement, poorly lit yard or nightscape forest to investigate the unusual noise. In fact she would hear it, the crunch of gravel with footfalls, the jungle of perhaps metallic coins. The sounds would become more pronounced, easier to notice in the otherwise silent space, yet if she spun herself around to find a source she would see an empty path and an empty field behind her.
"Anyone there?"
Aurelia would call out. From down an unlit path, a figure would start to take form. Perhaps this was the sound she had been hearing after all. The silhouette of a one @Mari Haynes [prerequisite posts: Link 1 | Link 2]. No, Mari would have the same sense of dis-ease, the same notion of dread. She saw the near tangible darkness, the aberrant noise, the illogical dreadful sense of a presence. They, Mari and Aurelia, would be briefly engaged, there was something out there but it was probably nothing.
All of the cabins were locked. Without a charm or the right tool, the door would remain as such. Looking through the dust-covered window panes of the Cabin of the Thestral, luxurious accomodations were noted. Still, in the dark of night there was this lingering gloom, this lonesome and forgotten sense that one would get from a space that has not been touched for the better part of the year. The space was not in ruins, just neglected these past few months. The furnishings still looked fine and the space forgiving with just a bit of TLC.
Their tête-à-tête was distracted when they saw them. Well, rather they heard it first. A group of men, three of them in fact were talking between one another. Perhaps they were patrolling the grounds, perhaps they worked her, perhaps they were intruding like the students were. They followed the gravel path with a purpose and a confidence as if they had walked this a thousand times before. They appeared older than Mari and Aurelia by a few years, later teens or perhaps even early twenties. They were not dressed for the dance, wearing distressed blue jeans, heavy work boots and cut off solid T-shirts that exposed their bare shoulders. They looked like blue collar workers.
Elena number two, @Elena Jangleton would arrive after to meet one if not two people on the porch of the Cabin of the Unicorn. If she looked past Elena #1 she would likely note the garish design of Professor @Sebastián Cazarez. Bright mismatched colors, textures and varied tapestries. It appeared as if someone might have bought these articles at a yard sale hosted by Elton John.
Rather than inside on a bunk, at least until one of them used the Alohomora Charm or produced a reasonable lock-pick, Elena might have set her cupcakes down on a small table on the porch of the Cabin. If not the three of them, at least the two of them would not starve. At least they escaped the party, the ever-watchful gaze of the Professors and other students. They were also far... far... away from other potentially dangerous incidents, all of which seem to transpire where students gather, such as the Charles York incident of last year.
They were on the other end of the grounds so they would not notice the three young men approaching the camp. It was likely that they too (once Anatole gets there) would also encounter something of note.

@Elena Jones [prerequisite post Link 1 | Link 2 | Link 3 (left topic)] would posibly arrive with a tablecloth clad former headboy, @Anatole Evans [He has not left the other thread so I cannot moderate for him yet which is what I have been waiting on.] She might have grabbed his hand and tried to pull him along after he completed the conversation he was having with a small gaggle of young ladies, the most popular of ghosts... of he might have escaped her grip and stayed behind. Anatole was certainly a person of interest on this day, the girls swarmed him like a school of piranhas -- he might have been safer at the cabins.
All of the cabins were locked. Elena would step onto the porch of one such Cabin, the Cabin of the Unicorn. The floorboards groaned underfoot in protest Cobwebs would catch Elena across her face, with a feeble stretch until tau, the gentle fibers would snap and tickle her face and hair as they parted. Jones would reach for the door and give it a rattle, the brass graven image of a unicorn. Locked. Through a dusty window under dim moonlight lighting the interior appeared drab and without love or humor, as if sapped by joy in the darkness. Smiling stuffed animals and statues of prancing unicorns seemed viscous and frightening after dark. As if they were looking at Elena through the dusty window.

Mari looked toward the stars, thinking about how dark it was. It was quite ominous out here, with only the stars and the moon lighting the grounds. She had a growing sense of unease but tried to shake the feeling as she listened to Bezu complain about her cupcake. It was a little strange to Mari that she was referred to as "dear," but she figured it was some sort of Prefect term of endearment. Or, perhaps, Bezu found Mari as a sort of pet after trying to save her from not one, but two, unsavory situations. Even more likely, she probably just remembered to Mari looked more like an eight-year-old than a twelve-year-old and wanted to reiterate that she resembled a small, feeble child.
Bezu continued to act like she was an elderly grandmother presenting her grandchild with a plate full of cookies, but Mari ignored her growing sense of discomfort with the phrases, instead focusing her emotions on the latter half of her statement. "He...burned the whole ball down?" she gasped. Do you think the daemon Kaegan will do the same? Although I'm for the most part physically healed, I have to admit I'm quite emotionally damaged from his contraptions...
Too much information, Mari she lectured, though a sinking feeling in the back of her head led her to feel that she didn't have much control over what she was saying. She felt grateful that Bezu chose not to call her "dear" or "hon" in her next comment, for her irritation seemed to be mounting enough that, if Bezu used other term once more, she would be purely annoyed. Her desire to be truthful to the girl seemed to be out of control, and though she had found the terms strange before, something told her she would have to say that they were annoying if the girl continued with them.
Finally, finally, Mari knew the whole name. Mari grinned. "No wonder I only remembered Bezu. Aurelia is easy to remember, but your last name kind of sounds like I need to say 'bless you' after you say it." Why had she said that? Normally, Mari wouldn't say something so bold. Maybe it was the eeriness of the camp that gave her such bravery, in case something scary came that she needed to use real bravery. Her brain not caring about such trivial concerns, Mari continued, saying, "I think I'll continue with Bezu. I kind of like it, and it is an honor to bestow you with your first nickname. Your mum would hate me, though - my name is actually Joy Marianna. I go by Mari.
She was lucky that Bezu kept talking; she didn't need to know Mari's whole sob story about why she had chosen to go by Mari instead of Joy at the age of five. When Bezu got to the "uptight or intimidating" portion of her statement, Mari, to her greatest embarrassment, interjected, "Well you are a bit uptight and quite intimidating." Thankfully, the truth became nicer as she continued, "But it doesn't matter; I have a lot to thank you for. You didn't get me in trouble after that blasted party that I really only went to because I wanted to make my sister proud. You tried to save me from that evil boy. Plus, I'd rather be uptight and intimidating; at least people wouldn't mess with me that way."
Mari thought back on her own friendships. She had primarily found herself in situations with snakes, revealing her deepest secrets about her family. One of the other people she had had a true interaction with was Allie Jones, whom Mari had decided to rashly yell at for things that, in retrospect, Allie did not deserve. Most the other students she had met had been introduced to a crying, sniveling version of Mari. No wonder Lucy stopped asking about her time at Hogwarts; she really was quite pathetic. Maybe Bezu could teach her how to be less like...herself.
Bezu spoke right as Mari finished her thoughts; it had seemed she had been deep in thought as well. Mari hadn't even noticed the silence that emitted between the two girls. Mari gasped at the revelations; a prefect getting detentions and abusing potions? Part of the reason Mari had not risked herself at the party was because she was scared she'd get a detention. Though she doubted she would ever get the position (who wants a crybaby as a person of authority?), she secretly wished she would become a prefect, and had partly decided to leave the party not only for fear of disappointing her parents, but also because she worried that would mean she could never be a prefect. Although Bezu would probably expect more judgment from Mari, she merely breathed in admiration, gazing once again up at the stars, for Bezu's face began to grow more enshrouded in darkness, "Wow. You got detentions?! Could you give me one? Lucy would be so proud, and I think she sees me as quite pathetic. I would love to be a prefect one day, but I thought prefects could never get detentions ever. I know I won't be one, but I'd never mess up the opportunity. Ooooh, I would love a detention, really. I'm sure the actual work wouldn't be fun but having Lucy admire me? It would be the best." She emphasized "the best" in an absurd way, a way that she never normally would. As a matter of fact, she would never have admitted her desire for a detention, especially to a prefect. Mari was not much of a risk-taker, and even though she would love a detention, she probably would never have acted on that desire, even if she did know now that prefects could get them, too.
She furrowed her brow, puzzled as to why she was admitting all these things. She certainly did not feel braver but for some reason was feeling comfortable enough to say all these beliefs. Mari shelved the thought for another time, as she stiffened to Bezu's further use of the word "dear." She snapped, looking directly into the grayed shadow of Aurelia's body, lit by the moonlight, and focused on the shimmering eyes: "I know I look like I'm nine, but could you please stop calling me that? I don't like it." Maybe you'll get that detention sooner than you think, with an attitude like that, she thought solemnly.
Her sense of unease grew as she heard voices. She turned towards the shadows of the other students that congregated on the porch of a different cabin, but they looked too young to possess such deep voices. Mari jerked at the crunch of gravel as her ears, then eyes, focused on the origin of the noise. Men. She muttered, mainly to herself, "They don't look like students..."
Nor did they dress like them, especially students meant for the party. Mari wondered feebly what their intent was, though, she countered, if they noticed her, they would likely be doing the same. She was a girl, though, harmless, and she did not get the same sense of harmlessness from these men. Without any control, she let out a loud shriek and crouched, trying to grab Bezu to bring her downward as well. "Do you think they noticed us?" She asked worriedly, voice hushed into a whisper.
Mari certainly did not wish to die tonight, but something about these men did not settle her growing anxieties...

Aurelia never talked with anyone so openly, not even her Mother. Thellea was not the Gryffindor’s biological Mother but she was still the one who raised her like a pureblood and cared for her all these years. Aurelia she had believed she was her biological daughter for years until last August when she found out herself. Even then, Thellea was still her Mother and always expected highly of her only Daughter. Aurelia would always withheld whenever she converse with her Mother as she knew a few little things she did brought disappointment to her parents. Yet now here she was, spilling her thoughts out to this girl.
Once again Mari had continued with her response. They both seemed to be talking a lot and somehow were both comfortable with spilling the truth. Odd. Perhaps this was how having a Sister felt like and was the reason why she addressed the girl as Hon or Dear. The Gryffindor wasn’t offended when the Hufflepuff admitted that she was intimidated, many others thought the same too. Aurelia was intrigued by the girl’s words, Mari was the first to ever want a detention intentionally.
“A detention... I could give you one but why would Lucy - whoever she is - be proud of you getting a detention? She must be a bad influence. Being a prefect requires a lot of work. Prefects are supposed to stop fights and catch shenanigans but I wasn’t even able to control the incident in the abandoned bathrooms or stop the party, “ Aurelia was speaking too much once again. Blabbering on and on. Her Mother had always said words were dangerous, a weapon and a tool, a weakness and a strength. Now it was apparently a weakness.
“Apologies, I just see you as a little Sister I’ve never had.” Aurelia admitted how she felt. Mari, she was timid and Aurelia somehow saw her as someone that needed protection from monsters like Kaegen or influence her so perhaps she’d develop a thicker skin and steer her away from bad influences like Lucy and the party.
The girl’s gaze then feel on something a distance away, Aurelia’s eyes followed it see a few men loitering around the cabin nearby. Indeed, they didn’t look like students, who could they be? Definitely not professors. “I don’t know,” Aurelia replied. Though it was best to head back to the castle, the Gryffindor was curious of what these men were doing. She tugged at Mari’s sleeve as she made there way to the corner of the cabin and crouched down. The noise shoes made wasn’t helping with the spying.

Mari mulled on Bezu's words as she crouched, so focused on her comments and the situation at hand that she almost missed Bezu tugging on her robes to move her to another corner. A small whimper rose out of her throat; she wanted to be Bezu's friend, but she certainly did not enjoy the fact that awful situations always occurred for Mari while she was in Bezu's presence. If the trend kept itself up, Mari wasn't certain she would have the guts to continue the friendship.
Much to her shock, that new, truthful voice caused her to murmur, "I don't like that I happen to be in trouble whenever I'm around you..." She shuddered. Obviously it was nothing against Bezu. She was just quite frightened.
She peered around the corner to see if she could catch a look of the men. They hadn't appeared to move; Mari just hoped that they hadn't noticed the two girls. She breathed a small sigh, imagining writing the events to her family. Surely they would respond critically; Mum, in particular, would think that Mari quite deserved it for sneaking off from the party. You had no right to do that, she'd write, especially when there was a perfectly good ball happening. Those boys were only there because they sneaked off as well; if you had all stayed place where you were supposed to, you wouldn't have been frightened in the first place.
But I don't think they're students, Mum... Mari internally replied, as if her mum could respond to her right then and there. Of course the statement was replied to by silence, leaving Mari's anxiety to rise along with her fear. She began to focus on her breathing. Her heart's beat was growing faster, but she feared if she had a panic attack, like she did in the abandoned toilets, the end result would be the same: catastrophic.
Distract yourself. There was, after all, something she wanted to say, something she had been meaning to reply to before all the hubbub of the men. She counted five breaths, steadying herself, and murmured as quietly as she could, "Lucy's my sister. She's younger than me but is much taller, so everyone thinks that she's older. She'll be at Hogwarts next year. She's always had lots of friends; at home, my friends were all from her. She used to ask me all about Hogwarts but hasn't lately; I'm afraid she thinks I'm boring." A pause, as she remembered why she had so badly wanted to comment on Bezu's statement in the first place: "But she's not a bad influence. She's my sister. I love her. She's only wants me to be more exciting and do things like get detentions and things so I can be as wonderful and loved as her. So I could see how exhilarating life can be."
Her voice was tinged with annoyance, although she wasn't mad at Bezu for making the comment. On the surface level, Lucy probably did look like a bad influence. No one, however, had been witness to all the things that the girls had been through together. It was these life experiences that made Mari certain that her sister loved her, too. Lucy would never try to hurt Mari.
Once the thought was over, fear mounted again. Mari searched her mind for something, anything, to keep the distraction coming. "Tell me about your family," she commanded, shocked at how direct the statement was but knowing it all came from fear. Still, she added feebly, so as not to offend the girl, "...Please?"

Anatole and Elena2 would find that they are not alone. They would not encounter a small group of strangers traversing the field between the cabins. Rather they would see a change in the dark field, a light would turn on in one of the previously dark cabins. That cabin being their own. A light spontaneously lit in the window before them, bringing life and light the what was once dull and grey. Still the space seemed uncared for, a bit faded and a thin layer of dust.
But oddly enough, with the lights on there were some details that were prior to this moment unnoticed. Several packs, the sort one would go on a camping trip with in colors such as dark green or brown. There were also cans of food stacked under one of the chairs nearly. While the cabin was for the most part undisturbed it was as if the cabin was being used to store goods. Simple goods, like camping supplies and cans of meat and beans.
Then there was this shrill noise. It was a shriek. It came from... well the Cabin of the Thestral. There was not a great deal of activity out here so when a loud noise such as that was made it traveled well.

Had the small party noticed them? No, not really. Well, not until Mari shrieked and their heads turned in their directed. Their path previous to this moment was to a place other than the Cabin of the Thestral, but now it would seem as if their attention had been diverted. They were coming their way.
"You go this way, we will take this way," a voice announced. The sound of footfalls getting louder. Mari should have stopped talking... Perhaps they would not have found their hiding place. A shadow would come over them, a darker darkness... Something, well someone was looming over them.
"Hey, I found them," a voice directly behind Mari and Aurelia announced. It was not loud. The tone casual but slightly annoyed, as if they had discovered a mouse in their barn. Half expecting it to be there anyway but still annoyed when it was discovered because now it had to be dealt with.
The second man was not far behind the first. "Pair of little kids," the second one commented as if giving a quick assessment of their potential risk. There seemed to be little.
"Don't bother screaming much girls, just going to give us a headache," one of the men clasped his hand on Mari's shoulder."It will hurt a lot less if you just come with us."
Was this a kidnapping? ...Yes, yes it was. They were not making this seem to be something that was not. There was no implication of potential force to be used, it was fairly clear from the tone and the calm way it was spoken that those were not words he said in haste in hopes of convincing compliance.
Another hand would fall on Aurelia's shoulder, it would grip tightly. It actually hurt a bit. "Let's go."

Hidden by the blanket of darkness, Aurelia lifted her dress and slipped her wand back into her thigh sheath it was bothersome holding the long stick all the time. “Curse you, Mari,” Aurelia hissed when the girl let out a high pitched yelp. It would have definitely draw the attention of the men. It was unlikely but probable that they would simply think it was a creature from the forest. Mari looked nervous, anxious even. She began to talk some more, ask about her family. Aurelia put her finger on her lips, gesturing for the Hufflepuff to hush for a short while. Now wasn’t the time to talk. But she still felt the dying urge to answer Mari’s question, Aurelia didn’t know why or what cause her but she began to respond in a almost a Whisper, “My Mother and Father are adoptive parents. My older Brother, dead.” why on earth was she telling her all her secrets? Then it hit her, it must be something in the muffins or the punch. A potion or something. Why hadn’t she realised it sooner.
“You go this way, we will take this way” she heard the men say. Godverdomme (god damn it in Dutch). Aurelia knew that in these shoes, she could not outrun these men. For all she knew she would trip and fall on the uneven grounds. Hurt her ankle of worse, break her leg. Who knows what the men were up to. So Aurelia stayed down, not saying a word, she hoped that Mari would be sensible enough to do the same.
Kids? They weren’t kids - okay maybe they were. Aurelia suppressed the fear she felt deep in her gut. She was a Gryffindor, brave and chivalrous, she could not let herself be afraid. “Don’t touch her.” when one of the men put his filthy hand on Mari’s shoulder but she felt a firm grip on her own. Think Aurelia. Her wand was under her skirt, in the thigh sheath. She would not be able to get it in time and the men were definitely much experienced in spells than she was. So she struggled against the man’s grip, lifted her foot up and stepped down as hard as she could, in attempts to hit one of the man’s foot. Her heels would definitely do some damage.
ACTION: Step on man’s foot with heel.

Everyone seemed to be fairly quiet for the moment as she peered inside the cabin frowning at the oddities she could observe form within the window."Strange.."She would mutter before stumbling back as a light flickered on.OK, that was weird."Feeling a bit unhinged, her hand drifted down to her pocket where her wand was stashed eyeing the cabin door and back at the window. The light revealed some new details of the cabin. Mounds and mounds of food in the form of cans and whatnot were stored within as if it was being used as a warehouse. She glanced at the other two as if to gauge their reaction to this. That was..until a shriek resounded from out of the nearby surroundings causing her to jump.I really don't feel so sure about this
"I don't know about you two but I think I have seen enough here to convince me something isn't right. Frankly, I am off to track that yell."She announced to the other two while silently berating herself.Stupid, stupid, stupid. This is how you get hurt.Shaking her head and waiting a minute to see if the others would follow suit, the prefect with a tense expression on her face turned and proceeded to leave the safety of the cabin exterior stumbling and making her way between the cabins in the darkness of the night but the yell was no more."Damn it, this was a dumb idea."The Gryffindor had not taken the wisdom to have a method to retrace her steps and now felt very lost. Incendio could provide a bit of light but if there was some crazy evil thing out here, she felt..safer in the night but yet also lost. It was laughable in a sense. That was when perhaps the girl decided to do perhaps the most foolish thing. She cupped her hands and called out in the direction of what she hoped she had heard the yell come from."Anyone there?! I'm here to help! Talk if you can hear me!"Her hand tightened around the wand in her pocket as she took a few steps forward literally unsure whether to go left, right, straight or back."Why do I get myself into these situations."

MENTIONS!
All the people he saw at the ball.

Cindertole refused to look back on the ball as he sprinted away. He decided to leave all of it behind, from the odd yet good cupcakes to Erin Ryan, to the two blondes to the Pygmy Puff. He just couldn't stand seeing old friends and them having such a good time...without him.
His shoe flew off as he dashed, and his exposed sock stuck in the branches and ripped at threads. He felt a hole emerge in his big toe, and he threw the tablecloth over his head to block the branches from scarring up his face and wrecking his outfit even more.
As a small light approached through the translucent cloth, Anatole tossed it off and continued running.
Smack. Anatole hit the side of the brick building he recognized as the Cabin of the Unicorn, and for a moment, he thought someone had grabbed him. After knocking, he entered.
Anatole was now with the two new girls, accusing one as his kidnapper before everything settled between the three of them. He carefully reached out and took a bite of a cupcake, slightly recoiling at the taste. Hopefully, the strangers would quit getting off his back about the tablecloth. It would take way too much time, and now they had---[Insert previous Cabin post.]
A scream came from the other cabin, and Anatole rolled his eyes. "You've got to be kidding. Please don't tell me Lear followed me and is off for my head." He took off the sock with the hole in it. "Before we go after that scream...uh...does anyone have a spare shoe? Mine came off while I was running from a...well...an old acquaintance of mine." He took a breath, shaking his head and tightening his small black bowtie, now covered in cobwebs and mud. "Hey! Wait for me!" Anatole called as one of the girls decided to go off after the scream. The light began to flicker and Anatole shook his head once more. "Come on!" The little boy protested as hard as he could, and when one of them began to set foot outside, Anatole left his cupcake on the bed and placed his foot in an empty can of beans. This would have to do.
Time quickly passed as they went into the forest again, Anatole keeping his tablecloth folded up in his hand. "You're right. This was a pretty dumb idea. First, for one of you to kidnap me...well, that wasn't a terrible idea, but this was a very bad idea," he noted, pushing a pile of leaves to the side with his intact shoe. "I...well, I was an idiot, but I forgot my wand back...back..." Anatole quickly decided not to tell them the whole story. "I just forgot it. You two have to protect me and I'll...distract them or something!"
