She nodded smiling in response at the girl's acceptance."It's no problem at all."It was funny in a sense. It was this moment that the Gryffindor realized in a very strange sense that all of the people she happened to get along with, the majority of them turned out to be of Slytherin House. She laughed inwardly at the thought, and here she thought things were going to turn out to be very different. But, perhaps she should not get her hopes up too high. After all, it was only her first year at the castle. Who knew what the future had to hold, more Chocolate Frogs to bond with potential friends over, she hoped."Yeah, that sounds like a good idea to me. We'll cover more ground that way, I'll take this first question here if you'll attack the second question, something about characteristics of galaxies."She replied shuddering at the thought. The girl still struggled to understand what people found so entertaining about standing in one spot and watching these funny little lights and objects in the sky twinkle, it was beyond her.To each their own, I guess.

Well, at least if they did somehow manage to get caught out on the grounds, they did have somewhat of a good excuse. After all, perhaps their dedication to schoolwork this late on the castle grounds would impress whatever staff member was to happen upon them that they would be let go. The thought was laughable at best. She scanned her question, something about the Sun and it's features. It looked easy enough but she knew the instructor had pressed for detail, so she was gonna have to extend it out somehow."There's some extra quills and stuff in my bag if you need. Just don't mind the mess, I really should be more organized."She said chuckling slightly sliding the bag towards Luna. Inside, all that would be found was an assortment of writing utensils, a broken ink bottle, a large textboox that seemed to weigh a ton and if Luna happened to investigate further, there would be a small necklace amulet tucked behind one of the textbook pages, a mistake the prefect did not seem to realize at the moment intently focused on the parchment in front of the duo.

"Okay then." The lavender eyes turned to the second question while thinking of the answer. Astronomy, even though watching the sky was one of her hobbies, it was still quite hard for her. But that did not mean that she could give up easily, especially when she agreed to help Elena. "Gryffindors..." The little girl talked with a soft voice, so only Elena could hear what she was saying, "Aren't like what I imagine, or at least you aren't." She thought only Ravenclaws would hanging around the Grounds to learn instead of playing, sadly she was wrong. Right near her was a Gryffindor who was doing her homework, with the help of a Slytherin, and that Slytherin was Luna.

"Don't worry, we are witches, and no one is perfect." The little snake looked in the bag and searched for something that she could use for writing. She didn't have to waste too much time searching for it. Though when the girl took out what she needed, there was something caught her eyes. A necklace? She turned to the homework again, but instead of ignoring what the girl just saw, she whispered. "I suggest you put the necklace somewhere else, best if leave it alone in your dormitory. Or you can wear it too, if you want but be careful, I don't think that you want to lose it, no?"

She shrugged at the girl's comment. She was different, that was true from most of her house. She wasn't this brave, heroic, type like most would typically assume to be of someone associated with Gryffindor House."I really do not know why the Sorting Hat put me in Gryffindor."She said laughing slightly."I am about the least bravest person there is or whatever you want to call it. I think I probably would have been better off in Ravenclaw or Hufflepuff at the very least."She said smiling as the parchment continued to fill up with words as the sound of quills and paper rubbing together forming into words. It was a satisfying sight to see. Though, it seemed she had been carless a bit. Her head snapped up at Luna's hushed remark about the necklace."O-Oh!"She managed to stammer out a reply glancing down at the heirloom, she scooped down and retrieved it draping it around her neck. It had a brown chain which held a red jewel in the middle though on the back of it, an engraving of a skull was carved into the material.

For some odd reason, the prefect seemed quite shaken by the fact that someone had seen this peculiar item of interest."Y-Yeah, probably for the better, defnitely don't want to misplace it, had my parents buy it, cost a fortune, it did."She said hastily putting together some words.You are such a terrible liar.Truth be told, she wanted nothing to do with the damned thing, in fact if she could, she would toss it into the lake and rid herself of it's sight. However, that was easier said than done. After all, questions would be aske-Enough, just stop thinking about it and get back to the homework, no need to disclose more than you already have."So! I'm nearly done here on my side, having any trouble there?"She asked perhaps too brightly to avoid the topic of the necklace.You really are bad at this.

"Maybe it's because there is something special about you that makes Mister Sorting Hat thought you fitted Gryffindor. People around me usually said that I could be a Ravenclaw or a Slytherin, and they were right." While saying those, Luna was still writing the homework. It was lucky that she had done all the homework for today before coming here, or she would be really tired.

Realizing that there was something wrong with Elena, the girl stopped writing and looked straight into her face. When she was going to ask, the Gryffindor changed the detail and it was not hard to see that. "Not really, I am almost done just like you..." If Elena did not want to say, Luna would not force her to do that. First of all, they just met. Second, forcing another person to say their problem, or secret was rude and the little snake did not want to do that either. The Gryffindor would tell her it when Elena wanted to.

"I have a necklace too. Silver one, heart locket... It is actually a portkey. My parents gave me that as a Christmas gift, though I did not think that we could use portkey in Hogwarts, just not really sure."

Ok, moving on from the necklace. She had seemed to think nothing of the Gryffindor's blabbering so that was good. Elena nodded in response glancing at her work for a brief second and smiling in response."At this rate, we might make it before the sun goes up."She remarked laughing a bit. Okay, scratch that previous statement, they were back on the topic of necklaces and precious heirlooms though thankfully this time, it happened to be about hers which in itself was a most interesting item as Luna explained it."Oh? A portkey? I have never tried one of those but I hear they are quite fun to use, sort of like teleporting."She grinned."I doubt you would be able to use it here though. From what I've heard, Hogwarts is special in it's own way about using magic and whatnot and I doubt we all want to find out what happens if we try 'teleporting' out of here though that would be cool!" The sun was now completely gone replaced by a dimly visible moon, a grim indicator they should perhaps start making their way inside before the creepers of the night came along.

"You've really saved me on this assignment, you know that? We should probably start heading inside though before a professor comes along rambling about the dangers of the night and condoning us."She said shuddering at the thought. Preferably, the girl would rather not have that experience, she could only imagine what some select teachers would do upon discovering the two of them. She doubted the homework excuse would be fair game to alleviate their concerns though it was a legitimate one. For what seemed like the hundreth time, her hand drifted to her chest ensuring the necklace was still firmly in place. Whatever it was about that heirloom, she seemed to be very protective about it, that much was sure."Unless of course, you look forward to a detention session cleaning out old Potions cabinets or dissecting flobberworms."She replied half-jokingly though the thought of that painted a very gross image in her head. If anything, it gave her more motivation to get out of the sight of any potential staff member. Who knew, maybe the homework excuse would pay off, after all, it was much quieter and easier to focus out here than the stuffy common room.

The sun went up... Was it a bit too Pessimistic? But after Luna had looked at the whole homework again, she realized that it was actually kind of long. She had good marks in Astrology, and she believed that this homework will not be too hard for her. But she still needed time to check again... Probably would need to spend a lot of times on it. She stopped writing when she heard Elena started talking about the necklace, but the purple hair girl continued writing in only a few seconds.

"Well... maybe let just focus on the homework" Or actually, never. Who knew what kind of problem they needed to face? She liked to experience new things, but that did not mean that she would risk her life on the things that both of them were not sure if it was safe or not. Not to mention, if they could just simply use portkey, then what was the point of using the train?

Finished. Luna stopped writing and gave the pen back to Elena. "I'm sure that it's late." Her eyes turned to the beautiful moon upon the sky. It was a bit hard to see, but she liked it. Of course she did, after all, the little girl loved the night more than day. The reason might be that Luna meant Moon, or maybe there is another reason? "It is actually quite late now, which means time to go back to the dorm." Well no, not detention. What would her mother think about her after knowing that she had detention? Maybe send a howler to her? That did not sound like her mother at all since she cared about "acting like a Pure-blood" a lot. She did not know how her mother would be like, and she didn't want to know it either.

"As you can see, I have already finished this homework. The others are not too hard, if you can't do that, I would be surprised." Which means, Luna believed that Elena could do it. After all, she had read a small part that the lion just wrote, it was perfect. "I should leave now, goodbye. Doing the homework trained my astrology knowledge, so don't have to say thank you to me, cause that is just wasting time." Alright.. had to be mean, mother said that she had to be cold to others... Luna picked up her book and quickly walked away when she was still thinking about her mother.

The other powered through most of the Astronomy sheet in quite incredible time and her answers were solid and well-built too. Elena blinked for a moment scanning the sheet not believing her luck. This would surely at least earn her a E at the very least. The professor after all was a stickler for detail on these types of things. The next comment about not needing to thank her came off as sort of a bit harsh to Elena but she waved it off. Perhaps she was just being modest."Nonsense, if I was wasting my time here, I doubt both of us would still be out here to this late hour working on schoolwork so thank you." She replied smiling at Luna. The girl was nice. The prefect reflected with a bit of humour that most of her friends were from Slytherin House, a house she tended to hold in distrust. It really was funny how you could make friends from almost anywhere here.Perhaps they are not all so bad.

She watched as the girl made to gather her things and leave waving as the Slytherin trudged her way up to the castle."Helpful and nice yet something strikes me odd about her...don't know what it is."The prefect muttered rolling up the parchment stuffing it into her bag before getting to her feet. She had considered the prospect of offering to walk back with Luna but had decided against it. Grabbing ahold of her bag, she made her own path back to the towering castle ensuring no one was around to catch her out and about, a flurry of thoughts going through her head as Elena swiftly made her path to her dormitory.
