Marigold is a small, softly built girl whose presence carries an almost effortless gentleness about it. Her fair complexion is often touched by a natural rosy warmth, and her chestnut hair falls in loose waves that are usually gathered into simple braids or tied back with ribbons. Framing her face are hazel eyes with green flecks, bright with curiosity and possessing a dreamy, thoughtful quality, as though her mind is always wandering somewhere just beyond the present moment.

Marigold wears her emotions far too honestly for her own good. Every feeling—wonder, embarrassment, concern, or delight—seems to bloom openly across her features before she can think to hide it. She has a habit of letting her thoughts wander, often becoming distracted by curious questions or imagining what lies beyond the things she does not yet understand. The world, in her eyes, is full of wonder and goodness, and she approaches it with a kind of quiet optimism that borders on idealism.

BRAVE ENOUGH TO BE SOFT AND KIND IN THE MIDDLE OF GREY OCEAN?

BACKSTORY. Her life before Hogwarts is just simple and quiet. A typical life of a Muggle, as how wizard folks call the kind, with peaceful town, kids running around the block, and their little cottage where their family of three live. She rarely interact with other children from the town as they seem to view her weird and different, so to at least help her spent her time not completely hunched on her back with a book on her lap. They gave her a mini-garden she can plant anything she wanted—a gift from her mother.

FIOM: Her first instance of magic happened way back when she was nine years old. There was a storm that went past and ruined her garden in the process, and all her beloved plants ended up getting destroyed overnight. Some are even uprooted due to the strong winds and the now corroded soil from the storm.

Feeling too sad about her garden's ruin, she didn't noticed a small bud of flower budding from the side of her muddy boots until she turned around. Among the ruins, it was the only one standing on the ground and its petals were blooming vividly that she forgot her sadness as she stared at the lone flower in awe. She didn't understood it yet about how it happened back then, but that same moment changed her life for real.

Her magical belongings reflect her gentle and curious nature, always showing that her things are meaningful and well taken care of. If you inspect her trunk, you will see organized packed things that are carefully selected for her entire year at Hogwarts.

Among her things are her wand (walnut ; wampus cat hair core) and her scarf. There's also trinkets gifted by her family in her eleven years.

Evangeline Wesley (nee Connors) is a gentle, warm-hearted woman with chestnut-brown hair that falls in soft waves and hazel eyes remarkably similar to her daughter's. There is softness to her features, especially when she smiles, that immediately puts others at ease which Marigold looks up at most and aspires to be when she grow up.

Evangeline and Ianethony raised Mari with warmth and simplicity in their home. Surrounded with books, well-loved garden, shared cups of tea, and scattered projects. Even when Marigold got her Hogwarts letter, that feeling and memories never left her at all.

Ianethony Wesley is a broad-shouldered man with black raven hair and kind green eyes that crinkle whenever he chuckle or laughs. Ianethony enjoys working with his hands and he is the parent who helped build Marigold's treehouse, fixed her broken toys, and patiently answered every impossible question she asked growing up.
